So we basically have to post in this forum before we are allowed to do so elsewhere?

I can understand to a degree,  but now I have to post a few meaningless messages before I can request assistance in the other ones.

Cheers anyways

ridiculous restrictions are forcing newbies to post spam messages like this one. An alternative is needed..
Agree...

(Yay, that is my 5th pointless post!... *Shudders* i hate being forced to post crap like this just to get access to the regular forums)

I've never seen a forum that has a restriction on new posters. Just serves to turn people off I'd think.

BitcoinTalk must think they're really that special Smiley

Possibly

But honestly having to lurk for hours and interact with the community I would think serves to steer away kids who are looking for a quick scam.

It also serves to steer people away who have a life.

Awesome... Thanks! I was kinda pissed about having to find 50 meaningful things to post about in the newb forums. This policy is totally respectable.
But is still needed to find meaningful things to post about.

Post some if you got em.  And spam messages like this one aren't a problem, it's the spammers (not just bots either) and trolls.

I've passed the 5-mark... any chance of being let out?  I've been a long-time lurker and would love to be able to chip in here and there on some discussions Smiley

I understand the 5 post rule and I do read english.

I shouldn't have lurked so long before actually wanting to post. God damned laziness strikes again.

yeah did they ever let you out?
