I do think it's fair, only the 4 hour thingy...dunno bout that

I suppose it is a good way to encourage enough browsing of the forums to get at least a basic sense of the community.

Agreed, the time barrier make sense (while the 5 posts do not).

Hmmm... although I wasn't too happy with the Newbie restrictions when I first signed up, I'm now starting to understand the rationale.
I'm not only a Bitcoin noob but I'm also a Forum noob. Due to the Newbie restrictions I've actually learned more about Forums than I have about Bitcoin. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I will suffer through the restrictions and learn as I go.

Can't wait to have my first signature.

Honestly, these restrictions are driving me crazy. I see the point to discourage trolls from flooding this forum but are these restrictions the correct approach? I don't think so, it just forces (most) people to write completly needless stuff just to get their five posts.

Was trying to figure out how I could be allowed to post for the last day or so. Maybe adding a "FAQ" at the top would clear this up, luckily I found the newbies section though Smiley

It took me forever to find out about the restrictions since I registered before they were there. That was a bit frustrating. Now that I know about them, they don't seem so bad.

INTERESTING RULES...NICE WEBSITE

Strangly, I do see the effect of the rules here, or it's not that strange to see them, just watch... Cheesy
But the effect is quite ... intresting
It's suppose to be tideus to wait, so spam et al don't want to join and hack,
yet some (as I did initially) don't get the thing about this rules .... Way to go I Say

Makes sense if it's annoying regulars.

Indeed!

Well, It's what it's all about, is'nt it ;P
We all want freedom, and don't pay for it ....
It should annoy regulators instead ...

I am actually glad that the restrictions are like this, even tho I am on restriction. It is def a way to filter out most of the bull-ish!

I guess this makes sense. I have not grasped the whole bitcoin thing yet. I signed up for a site that deals exclusively with bitcoin currency. I won't say what that is haha. I'm sure a lot of the vets know what I'm talking about and the f*cking site is down. IDK if u can swear on here or not. I am newb as of 5 mins ago.

I am having issues accessing a site, but I guess to get help I need to keep playing on this....

I am newbie here trying to make his way, I have a few questions I would like to post in the help forum. Anyone know of a way to get to a 4 post count without just posting things for no reason in this thread?

We all have to spam this forum 5 times to prevent the others from being spammed once. Grin

agree.. but i guess it is necessary anyway...

i can see the need for the restrictions and will definitely follow them.

but i wanted very badly to post in a non-newbie thread, which is why i signed up in the first place. maybe we could have option for one single non-newbie posts out of the first 5?
