Wowowo 4 hours and 1 minute, where is my established user?
Maybe it would be better to have a posting rating for each forum, making the one that have the highest chance of being spammed require more posting.

me too and the 4 hours logged on the forum are long when you can't answer everywhere

Long time reader but finally joined now. The restrictions are a bit annoying though, is there really no other way around spam? (Like some decent anti-bot captcha for the first x posts instead of just denying everything except the newbies section)

i totally understand why you have the restrictions. It makes sense but damn its frustrating for someone like me who just wants an answer to a question
hmm, here is my obligatory +1 to get to the 4 posts even faster, now how do i get to so many hours before i can posts what i really want 
The worst part is that the "4 hours" time logged in takes forever b/c its actually 4 hrs of active time. If you look at a huge thread for 15 minutes it doesnt give you 15 minutes worth of time unless you are clicking around page to page. I.e. the "all" link might screw you.
i've used the internet since before 2000 and this msg board policy is insane. make people waste time making blank posts as if a spammer wouldnt already have no problem doing that
