So my reward for mining my last block on Slush's pool was 0.002 instead of my usual 0.05 and now I find that I can't even post on Slush's forum to try and figure out what is going on and get it fixed since I need 5 posts and 4 hours. This wouldn't be a problem if there was some other way to contact Slush, but in this case these Newbie rules are really a pain.

I wish it was a bit simpler...I hate spammers just as much as the next guy, but still.

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts.

It's sad that this forum has to resort to such measures.

I can understand it's been done but it's still sad.

Given the nature of forums in general, can't say I'm really shocked that this is in place. Makes sense. Annoying? Sure. But makes sense.

Good policy. I don't resent it at all.  Considering my interest in Bitcoins, it won't take long anyway.  LOL

I was wondering why I can't reply to other threads.  I guess I know now.
I was looking for the reply button in a couple of threads in the 'main board' and couldn't find it, now I know why LOL

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts.

If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.
- You need 50 posts to put an image in your signature.

Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted.

man, i was kinda in a hurry

Definitely a good post, just need people to read the damn thing to work out why they can't post in the regular forums!

Argh the wait is killing me.   Was going to join a PPS pool but couldn't post, so I had to make an account.  Spent 8 hours reading here yesterday without an account - now mindlessly wandering around reading Bonkers posts about leaving fridge open to cool the room  Tongue

That's the idea!
Or maybe I should move the fridge to my room and keep my right in there. Still not too sure which noise is more annoying, the one from the fridge or from the rigs.
