I really need to get out of the newbie section so I can ask some questions on the Britcoin thread!

This is kinda annoying... not all of us log in to read the forum. I've had way more than 4 hours yet hardly any of it was logged in.

/end 5th post to get myself out of here

I've been lurking for about 4 weeks and have made a grand total of 3 posts. Was wondering a few days ago why I couldn't find the 'reply' button.

Damn, and here I am creating a "legit" account (as opposed to the other account I created months ago, but only ever argued politics and and discussed ways to use bitcoin more anonymously) and I can't use the thing properly...

*shrug*

Oh well, it's still better than some forums I've been on.

Oh, and, I've introduced myself @ http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=15672.msg221611#msg221611

Glad to see it is only limited to a few hours and 5 posts.  I read somewhere else that it was 50 posts and while I spend a lot of time on forums I am mainly just a lurker.  Here's to being free of newb status soon.

Interesting... When I joined, I was able to post to other places, then all of a sudden I could not figure out why I could no longer post.

Now, I have more than 5 posts and more than 5 hours logged in and still can't post to other places. What else do I need to do to be able to post in non-newbie section?

I thought today's a good day to come out of the woodwork and remark on some posts. I found the wall sealed instead.

I'm sorry to see the forum hit hard by trolls; but as a Filipino proverb says, "If a tree bears plenty of fruits, people will throw stones at it."

4 hours meh.... but god I hate spam too

It's not that bad. It's actually a good way to "force" people to read the forums and do some research before posting... of course, it kinds of annoys every non-noob that registers *after* already doing that.

the restrictions are lame, but 5 posts is a hell of a lot better than 50. I don't even know what they were thinking with that.

Five posts is fine I am good on that. It's the 50 hours in real life that translates to five minutes of time on this forum that bugs me.

Ok... can't say I've ever seen a forum use this way of doing things before, but if it works, who am I to judge?

Even though I feel it can potentially bring a lot of spam to the newbies forum (:

PS.: Yeah, I realize that "a lot of spam in the newbies forum" is a lot better than "a lot of spam everywhere"
