IMHO, all these cryptocurrencies are volatile and risky. However, new projects are more speculative than the old top altcoins on coinmarketcap. Although we can't close our eyes that new projects can give us much more profits sometimes, it is also riskier. Not only newbies who got rekt, but the experienced one also can face the same experience. It's sometimes unpredictable cause the more people learn to avoid those scammers, the smarter the scammers get. But as you said, to minimize the chances to get rekt, to keep learning is important. Meanwhile, you can invest in more stable and known projects while doing the research.

No doubt, newbies will be safer in top altcoins. But l think how they decided who is the beneficial altcoins to get good earnings. So l think ,they should be aware from scam project & get much more knowledge before take decisions.

I think your opinion is very right to avoid the many scams today, at least for beginners who choose Altcoins with good potential then do not experience losses in their investment.

I have been in the crypto space for over 3 years and i can tell you that it is not easy investing in crypto. it is not easy making a decision to invest in crypto. i have seen projects that looks like a quality and a real gem disappear leaving investors in a sorry mode. i have seen project that are worthless turn out to million worth of investment. scams that develop into some and maintain the market. meanwhile trusted and qaulity project dissppear due to lack of funds.

as a newbie please stic to the top altcoins on the market and you will gain huge.

Actually, even if we spent a lot of time researching and selecting a coin to invest in, it takes a long time to grow and you start comparing and having doubts even if it's a top altcoin.

The problem with newbies is that they are overly focused on profit, which leads to many people making wrong decisions in the pursuit of profit.

So, not just training them to invest in proven and top cryptocurrencies, but also teaching them to relax and have patience in crypto, is essential.

It might not seem right to me to think that all the top coins are safe. There are a lot of coins here that I don't think are very safe. When it comes to investing, one should check whether the coin is serious or not. I think Bitcoin and ETH are good choices for beginners to start with. Because I don't think there is a need to go any further in the beginning.

if they feel they are beginners, I would suggest investing in bitcoin instead of touching altcoins whose prices are very volatile compared to bitcoin, no one can guarantee that the top altcoins can bring you profit and are safe, it's just a market game, which the most important thing is to learn to gain experience and do research on altcoins until you will find important information about the altcoin.

I think everyone should be really careful with investments especially in crypto because there are so many shitcoins and you can really go broke by investing in the wrong altcoin… and i dont think any altcoins is safe and better safe investing your funds in bitcoin and ethereum but you should always make good research

not all new project is scam, they can give you profit though just a little.

Am not sure anyone is saying that all new projects is a scam. What they mean is that most people get scammed from new projects more than old existing projects. This is true most times because some of the new projects do not have known team members and can not be traced when they scam and that is what most of them do. They abandon their projects and run away. The advice is for people to avoid new projects and save themselves from lost of cash.

I totally agree with you that it is better for newbies to make do with mainstream currencies, as they don’t have sufficient experience in investigating projects, but of course while investing in some fundamental currencies, don’t stop there and learn this market, as risky altcoins can yield you much higher profit than just holding of Bitcoin and Ehtereum.

Yes, your assumption is correct because as a beginner you must be able to choose the best coins that have been registered and trusted on coinmarketcap. Hurrying and rushing in selling coins will also result in significant losses even though some of the profits have been obtained.

Investing in the top altcoins should be a no brainer for the newbies getting into cryptocurrency investing because the top coins are top for a reason and most of them have a track record of success and most if them have good teams and a defined rodamap and also a proof of concept. Even seasoned investors also pay good attention to the top altcoins too and only a smaller portion of their portfolio is in the lesser known and more risky altcoins

yes, I totally agree with your opinion. because the top altcoins will be safer to use than new altcoins to invest in. but not only beginners should use the top altcoins but until now I still use the top altcoins to be traded on various market exchanges. I myself have known crypto trading since 2017 but until now I still use the top altcoins because I consider everything safe and there are no frauds from it.
