if a newbie invests in Ethereum, that's the right thing,
what is the top altcoin that is in the top rank of Coinmarketcap?
Remember there are stable coins that are there, so you should really know the difference

there is nothing to choose about it. whatever these New project thinks they can offer has already been developed by the old ones. do your self a favor by looking at the top tokens on coinmarketcap and pick your choice of investment. i prefer BTC, eth and Uni swap for long term. i choose YFI and Link for short term trading. the rest projects has nothing serious to offer.

indeed, and personally i only drop my money to the Top 100 crypto in coinmarketcap list
because any coins thats can stand in the top 100 coins in coinmarketcap is good for long term or short term investment

Seek for more crypto knowledge before investing in new projects, it's not always that easy to choose, as a newbie it's better to stick with old top altcoins on coinmarketcap, why? Because many newbie are in rush to make fast returns, if you are this type pls go for better top coins, 90% of new coins aren't serious at all, they are here to steal money from investors and give fake promises in return

Newbies are safer with top altcoins until they start learning how to choose wisely, do better diggings on new project to avoid scams

Cov-19 have been used to scam many newbies and even Corona virus coins are built too which have no real use cases

Play safe and be willing to learn

I agree with you Newbies need to trade Top coin, but they still lost money because the big boy. In trading crypto, 90% lose.

Before entering the world of cryptocurrency, The first thing a newbie has to do is research what it is going to invest in, And the most important thing is to think carefully about the decisions when choosing investment targets. The most common case is that newbie investors are always tempted by the large bonuses offered, even though tricks like this are most often used by fraudsters to attract the attention of investors. So in my opinion, Newbie investors should choose high-end coins as the first step in their investment to avoid the risk of loss.

Mostly those who are new come to this market with a attitude they they want to rich fast. That's why most of them don't have any interest in gaining knowledge or watching the market what they want is just profit. That's why they started to invest in wrong places. For a result most of the time they end up in loss or even scam. That's why those who are new always try to stick with hight marketcap or high ranked coins. And at the mean time try to understand the market. That's it.
those who just came to the crypto market, are not that stupid. of course some invite them and convince them to invest in the crypto market. not just looking at people who are successful and then they are attracted. I am sure those who are interested are also asking everyone who knows and they can make a source of information. you should know, they don't come to waste their money.
If something fails and gets caught up in investing in new assets, then they just come along and follow the wrong advice. it will provide valuable experience. they should be better off experiencing it all.

Yeah, you're right. The newbies are safer in top altcoins like ethereum and bitcoin and they can observe and learn some new things while researching about it and If they gain knowledge, they can use it to other altcoin.

Definitely agree with the OP on this. It's better for the newbies to observe Bitcoin and ethereum till they get used to crypto and then enter the more risky cryptos instead of jumping straight into it.

that is indeed very good advice for beginners who are just joining the cryptocurrency world, because investing in cryptocurrency is very risky compared to other investments, because there are so many novice investors who lose big because they want to get rich quick.
The desire to get rich quick is not wrong, because everyone also wants it, only if in crypto we also have to be observant and have a strategy so as not to experience losses at the start of investing, because all investments do have risks, it's just that the amount of investment risk is there inside crypto.
Even you're investing in crypto getting rich quick is not possible because it takes time and depending on the market movement. During bullrun many investors are earning profit so if you invest huge amount in a good coin then your profit is huge as well. Though we are not certain on when are we going to wait the bullrun, the last time is on year 2017. Investing in top altcoins are safer compared to new coins.
For this year we can see investors are more interesting at Defi projects and that a good sign to invest on but we all aware that defi projects are the one that we should be more careful as the scammer seem to be interested also at defi projects and a lot of fake projects has being made out there. Invest with extra careful as uniswap are their top place to make a big scam this years.

Investing on top altcoins is safer than on new altcoin, but the profit won't be huge as new altcoin.
True that people said : low risk = low gain, and high risk = high gain.
Once you know the project of new coin is genuine and legit, you can buy their coin and become the early adopter.
In a way, this is the case, but everyone must also be observant in seeing and taking advantage of opportunities at all times, because conditions that we do not want can happen at times we don't expect and can even be the opposite of what you say.

as far as I am concerned, a lot of new people sometimes wrongly choose coins for their hold. sometimes they choose even coins that are ranked below 500. However, the advice for beginners is, you should choose coins that are well known and that you have heard often. looking for information on the internet about this is the best and easiest thing to do.

The reason is they want to be whales of this coin and they see the potential of the coin, it has something to do with FOMO and sometimes it works and sometimes it's not, developers are creating hype that they are the next big thing and they are going to list on big exchanges and will go straight to the top, those who are doing this are whales they already stake on top coins and they wat to discover new coins.

For me, a good investor is a knowledgeable investor. All the newbies need to do is simply try to research more, even 30 minutes to an hour will do. Ask fellow cryptocurrency enthusiasts and then try to get more information from them when it comes to investing cryptocurrencies. Sure, more of them will just tell you to invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum and that's it, but there are others who has more insight and information about the different coins and tokens out there and maybe will be able to provide you best suggestions to follow.
