ALWAYS BEWARE because many of these coins are PURE SCAMS!

Please read this topic before comment. If you think you have been scammed, report it. Let me know the scammer’s profile name and any other details. If you don't scammed then please don't feed the trolls!  Thank your understanding.

Hi,
Yottabytes or Yottabits will be good.
Xtra Yottabits or bytes.
My best wishes for the success of this project.

Thanks.

Aarell, thank you very much for your participation. You may have uncovered what will be the name of our project. Great Thinking!!

XtraBYtes seems as though it may be the name set in stone by destiny a few months back. Smiley Who would have thought we would be here today, extracting from the letters XBY a word that perfectly defines where this project is headed.

However, we are not going to arbitrarily make this decision and would still like to hear further input from anyone with an interest in where we are taking this coin. But, in my opinion and also Borzalom's, XtraBYtes has moved to the top of the list of new names for XBY.

So, I think it is safe to say we now have 3 votes for XtraBYtes

A quick update:

Borzalom is making some great progress with some changes to the Bitmox code and will be testing during these days.

Something else we have been discussing is to ask anyone concerned to help us in coming up with a NEW name for XBY.

I don't think anyone will argue that Bitmox is a rather odd name that cannot be marketed very easily. However, it was also stated previously that we do not want to change the coin because this will not be beneficial to any of the investors when it comes to the listing. So, what we are thinking is to change the Bitmox name, but leave the XBY as it is. Obviously this is a transparent undertaking and we would love to get some ideas from the field.

My idea is to try to make something out of the "nearly unusable" XBY and I came up with the following:

Xtra
Block
Yotta

So we can call the project: Yottabits, Yottabytes or Yottablocks and we are in fact bouncing around the idea of a storage coin. So, YottaXtraBlocks is the idea... Yotta being a very large measurement of data for those who do not know. In fact, 1 yottabyte = 931,322,574,615,000 gigabytes (931 trillion)

We look forward to your input and additional suggestions!!

Thank you!

Since you have form a new team, why not start a new coin or a new beginning, like peepcoin which other members tried to relaunch but failed because of the scam accusations attach to it,people who earlier trust this coin will have second thought trusting it again, especially if they lose huge money.

Thank you for your input, Robelneo.

We did in fact discuss this at great length and although I know nothing about the peepcoin situation, we decided that transparency was far better than shoving the problem under the carpet and moving forward with a new coin. Doing so would have risked other peoples money even more by trying some trickery to save our funds and perhaps most important of all at this point, is to note that; we are not taking anyone's "new" money. There is no ICO... There is only trading on the exchange. Once people feel good about what is happening, trading should start again.

With that said, it should also be known that even though this project is a recovery so that (hopefully) none of us lose money, it is also stage 1 of a larger coin project, with a new coin and a powerful concept that Borzalom and I have realized is desperately needed in the crypto world.

In the mean time, we are first of all fixing the blockchain of XBY and secondly, debating the coins purpose.

Hope that helps!

It is my pleasure to announce that the XBY Bitmox recovery campaign has just taken another positive step.

As the NEW Lead Programmer and NEW Official Developer of the NEW Bitmox, I would like to welcome to the TEAM, CCRevolution as the Head of Marketing. Additional information will follow as we continue to strategize how we will relaunch BITMOX.

Thank you Borzalom! We have our work cut out for us indeed.

Obviously we are dealing with a very unusual situation and one that will require time to correct and rebuild trust. So, just a quick overview so that readers can better understand what is happening here:

Back around the beginning of January, myself, Borzalom and many others made purchases of XBY (Bitmox) on C-CEX. If any of us had known we were being scammed by the original DEV, obviously we would not have bought and this project would likely have died completely. However, what has happened here is that a veteran marketer of over 20 years (myself) and a veteran programmer of over 25 years, with almost 7 years in blockchain and crypto (Borzalom) were among those who were stiffed...

Over the next few weeks, I personally was sitting with my sell order at 1 satoshi, hoping to get my investment back. But, the daily purchases became less and less as days passed and then they stopped completely. This is when I decided to take a shot in the dark to try to find the DEV (I was still unaware of what really happened) and I wrote the following post on the thread I found for Bitmox:

Next I sent him a private message... of which I will show the first two I sent him:

Then after a few more PM's back and forth and a bit of teamwork on the forum, we began communicating directly through Skype. This eventually lead us to the point we are at now, which is an official assembly of the CORE DEVELOPMENT TEAM for the NEW BITMOX (XBY) COIN.

More people and more ideas are welcome, so please contact me to discuss.

As for the skin we have in the game... Well, as mentioned above, we are the same as any other investor but now we are also investing time. We want to do everything possible to make this coin a success and what I have learned is that Borzalom is a good man, with strong ethics, a brilliant mind and a desire to create something great for the blockchain world. I too am an open and honest communicator with strong ethics and integrity, along with a desire to help people make money.

So, we do not and cannot make any guarantees at this point, other than we are going to try our best.

We also do not ask that you trust us because we know trust is gained over time as we reach milestones...

All we ask is that you have patience and if you have ideas, to let us know. We will share everything we can as we go.

Thank you for your time!

Stay tuned...

There's a Bitmox scam thread existing here, ask the thread started to lock it so you the coin can gain credibility,if that thread continue to generate comments, people might think that their is no take over on going, goodluck to your coin, although not a good start but still had a big chance.

Bitmox, scam , C-cex, thread closed
those key words sounds clear and dangerous

Well we could possibly rent hashing power? I don't really have power to mine neither.

Our community needs to have enough hash power to mine the blocks. The coins security depends on it... If someone rented more hash power than we have, it would be possible to attack the block generation and therefore renting is not a good option for us.

Maybe the coin should be PoS then? Only block reward of 0 + tx fees.

Do you think you will be able to hardfork the coin OP?
I might just join this for fun, i have no programming skills but i can host a node or try to make a block explorer for this if you get the source fixed  Cheesy

Sincerely, Onni

Of course, I have the requested programming skills that needed the hardfork.
I think we get the best result if we hardfork to first block and premine the 650.000.000 coins and send these coins to BGVUg2AzNEd3T28zQBNG2v8hzqbC3bDoDf  (ICO) address. After this succeed then C-CEX will have enough deposits if anyone want withdrawing own coins from market.

I don't have good graphics card. I don't have enough hashing power to premine the first blocks. If you have then I welcome if you contribute this.

Need premining 650 blocks and each block reward will 1.000.000 coins. After this then need send each coin to original ICO address. Why 650 blocks ? The longest chain win and original chain is only 330 long.

I'm thinking that we would be better in the future. POW is good but the 650.000.000 coins enough and don't need more. If block reward low then nobody mining. If reward high then coin inflation also high therefore mining will unprofitable.  If the transaction fee will high then coins go to miners and mining will profitable without block reward. This is a good test the future of Bitcoin when the block reward will very low.

Well we could possibly rent hashing power? I don't really have power to mine neither.

I have compiled a big data search and found some projects with nearly the same source code base. Bitmox has a copy-paste code with no new features. Not all the coins listed are scams, I just attached the list of coins which shared same source code and have the same bugs.

"Who is I'm ?" lmfao terrible terrible ANN. Got some good laughs so thanks for that. Goodluck with whatever you're trying to do.

Obviously ENGLISH is not his first language, but thank you for pointing that out!! Your contribution is VERY helpful. Roll Eyes I will not bother to dissect what you have written because its really just a waste of time to point out flaws in other peoples work. But hey.... thanks for the best wishes!! Your future contributions are always welcome but let's try to remain on the positive side because we are all here as a result of a scam and as such have dealt with enough negativity. Any suggestions for a proper and more noteworthy ANN are welcome. Thanks!!

I agree... Building credibility is very important now.

After reading recent posts from above, I like how this is shaping up. Now we just need more people to get involved.
