Thank you all for your support and contributions to our XBY recovery thread. We are currently waiting for C-CEX to complete our latest request with regards to updating the wallet on their servers. This will allow for movement of the coins and some additional testing.

Also, just a quick reminder that the vote ends on the 21st of March. So far, consensus is leaning towards XtraBYtes as the new name. So, if you have any other suggestions, now would be the time to speak up.

Thanks and enjoy your weekends!!

Hey dev! I tried to compile for raspberry pi 3 but there is no enough ram and i cannot add more swap. Could you possibly cross compile for arm? Thank yiu Smiley

Linux and windows is supported now. I spent several days before successfully compiling both systems. Later, when we have a stable and final source code then yes we will compile more systems, not just linux and windows.

I mean that the executable that u compiled is not compatible with ARM architecture, and it is impossible for me to compile it with only 1GB of ram + 1GB of swap. A lightwallet like electrum or a fork of multibit would be nice too.

Yes, we will get to it ASAP but for now we are still working on getting XBY stabilized and trading properly.

Please be patient.

Why do you start based on a failed coin?
It is better to develop a new one.

Thank you for your suggestion, Xlcus. However, I will debate you:

1. This is NOT a failed coin, it is a recovery from a SCAM operation. We are doing everything possible to actually make this coin work, rather than just accept that someone STOLE our money.

To make an analogy, this would be like buying a car... In your statement, you claim that the car is not good because it has been in an accident and we are trying to repair the damage. However, the truth is that the car has not been in an accident, it has in fact never left the parking lot of where it was purchased. The truth is that the car only had the shell and wheels and looked pretty, but there was no engine or transmission and the seller never intended there to be anything other than just a shell and wheels to trick people into paying for the car.

2. Better to develop a new one?

This may be a valid statement, however it entails accepting that it is OK for people to steal from others in this industry and therefore indirectly endorsing scam coins. Well, Borzalom and myself disagree with this and perhaps others will follow suit and also make it so that the scammers do not get away with stealing peoples money in the future.

Developing a new coin, rather than putting the engine and transmission into XBY is a great way to piss off perhaps 100's of people and further give this industry a bad rap... We do not believe in this and feel that even though it may be easier for us to focus on one of our NEW COIN ideas... We are far better served to complete this mission first.

One thing that can be done is that the exchanges can start putting an escrow on the accounts of the developers of new coins and thus preventing withdrawal or transfer of BTC for a specified period of time. This would be a fast way to end new coin scams.

Thank you for your participation!!

Bitmox NEWS Release and RECOVERY

Original Bitmox Threads:

Bitmox announcement thread:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/delete-1742688

Bitmox scam warning thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1742783.0;all

Who is Borzalom (me)?

I'm a cryptocoin developer who, perhaps like you, invested in Bitmox. After seeing we were scammed, I decided to initiate the creation of a real community for Bitmox. I believe that if I repair the source code and we rebuild the node network, this coin can become a success.

Why?

1.) The Bitmox source code is public
2.) There are many Bitmox investors
3.) We are already listed on an exchange (C-CEX)
4.) I'm a real person and a real developer
5.) After the ICO scam, we are making everything transparent and clean
6.) The coin can be purchased very cheap

So, after the investors seemingly lost their BTC to the Bitmox ICO scam, this is an option to recover from big losses.

Milestones:

(completed) Warning sent to C-CEX
(completed) C-CEX understood and will help with what we need
(completed) Published the source code
(completed) C-CEX switched the coin to maintenance mode
(completed) Recoverd the original blockchain
(in progress) Reviewing all transactions and remove the fake coins

(next steps)
Publish the results of review
Repair the source code
Hard fork the coin
Begin mining
Create a Blockchain explorer
Restore withdrawals and deposits
Create a new development plan

From this point, I want see who else is willing to contribute some efforts before I invest more time.

It is my pleasure to announce that the XBY Bitmox recovery campaign has just taken another positive step.

As the NEW Lead Programmer and NEW Official Developer of the NEW Bitmox, I would like to welcome to the TEAM, CCRevolution as the Head of Marketing. Additional information will follow as we continue to strategize how we will relaunch BITMOX.

Why do you start based on a failed coin?
It is better to develop a new one.

Any bounty campaign like signature campaign, social network campaign etc???
I want to joined. thanks

Hello Judyrob,

Welcome to the XBY community!

I personally do not know anything about these types of campaigns. That said, I think anything to help get more exposure is advantageous to everyone. However, I will assume there are rewards for such a thing and those rewards are coins...?

This can happen but it would require donations from the community because there are ZERO additional XBY coins being produced. At this point, we do not even really have the ability to move the coins around because ALL the coins are in C-CEX wallets (on the exchange) and there are currently no XBY wallets available to transfer out to.

So, perhaps it is best to keep this on the back burner and open to discussions because I would be willing to donate if there is sufficient support from others to do the same and we could certainly create some sort of campaign.

In the mean time, XBY is still available for 1 satoshi per coin on C-CEX. https://c-cex.com/?p=xby-btc

Thank you for your input!

1 sat for XBY??? thats verry cheap dev
thanks

Yes, XBY is still available for 1 satotshi... How much longer before the coins are bought up remains to be seen. https://c-cex.com/?p=xby-btc

XtraBYtes is a good name and much easier to remember and it has no bad reputation attach to it compare to the old Bitmox so I prefer  XtraBYtes, but does it already has a ticker,it's much more hard to find a uniques ticker than a name .

Thank you for your input, Robelneo! We agree with you...

Yes, we already have the XBY ticker and trading is available on C-CEX.
