Tough loss on the team total as the Colts missed a field goal, moving on I got the Raiders @1.94 for now just because the coin said so. Grin

I also missed the early games as I was waiting for my football ticket to get settled, anyways i'm eyeing the Cowboys -6.5 for the SNF game as they're able to beat Washington by 7 on the road.

It looks like Mahomes will easily cover that 300+ passing yards as it's only the 2nd quarter and he's already at 190 passing yards.

The Colts made it look easy with their win against the a lowly Cardinals team which just can not win a game at their home stadium.
I think that is 4 games in a row there without a W.

I am on the Chiefs for today as the EPL took all my watching time before the earlier matches started.
Mahomes with an over 305+ yard passing performance is in the cards for this match as they just seem to keep scoring in their last three matches.
So expect no different boxing day.

Anyways, on to the holiday break and on the Colts to win on Christmas day.
Thinking another upset will happen against the Cardinals at home in Arizona.
I agree with this one as well, I feel like the Cardinals regression will continue and Colts get the win but I kind of like the team total more as the Colts have been scoring a lot and the Cardinals gave up a lot of points in their recent losses. With that said, i'm going for Colts team total over 23.5 @1.9, if the Lions were able to score 30 then it should be doable for the Colts.

Also, many thanks to Sportsbet for giving out some sweet free bets this Christmas.  Cheesy

It was the exact opposite of the above said: Jimmy G had the 2 interceptions (from what I remember while watching til I had to leave) and then those Titans brought on the pain in the second half after getting shutout in the first.
Quite the upset until that first interception happened for the 49ers.

I honestly want to avoid the match winner market and go for some prop pick but unfortunately sportsbet isn't offering interceptions so I had to go with the betbuilder route.

Tannehill's int stats at home is interesting, it's the same as their home record which is 5-2 and 4-3 on the road. With those numbers I think he's likely to throw another int and 49ers will probably squeak out a close win since they can't afford to drop another match as they'll be facing the Rams and Texans in the last two matches and it'll be tough to pull a win against the Rams.

Some teams are playing tonight so they get them done before the holiday break:
Washington vs Philadelphia & Seattle vs L.A Rams

This should clear up the tables to see who gets their place a top the NFC and AFC tables.

Don't forget to put in your picks towards the Thursday night football challenge for your chance to win a freebet:

@wheelz1200. The game is presently 10-3, however, I agree. The Bears is only 4-9 against the spread. The Minnesota Vikings might only be 2-5 on the road but they are 7-6 against the spread. If the Bears had a better record against the spread, +7.5 might be a good bet with only 1.85 odds. Similar to Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields was also a disappointment.

Skipped the Browns game as I really like the Chicago Bears to cover +7.5 @1.85 since the Vikings are in a tight spot and I still can't believe they're the ones who gave the Lions their first win. Hopefully, the trend on the road continues as they've been winning by a single possession and I think the Bears have a decent shot at winning as the Vikings are 2-5 on the road.

How about you guys do you have any insight or bets on this division matchup?

This is gonna be a tough fight for the Bears to pull this out.  Even though they are home they can't score.  And fields might be good someday but right now he needs a lot to go right for them to just stay competitive.  If he had Allen Robinson to throw too it would be better but he has Mooney and that's pretty much it.  Viks and tee up on them without fear of getting burned.  It's 10-0 now but this one might get ugly.

I don't know about you but if someone told you Lions would beat the Cardinals and Buccs to get absolutely shutdown by the Saints in the same day,
Would you believe them?
I certainly wouldn't. Yet both these scenarios just happened for Sunday night football.
These are the matches where they are clinching playoff berths yet this happens.
Shocking results as Detroit had only won this game and the other last weekend and New Orleans without their starting quarterback.
Yeah, the number of underdogs winning this week is unbelievable, Packers nearly lost against a short-handed Ravens team, Texans trashing the Jags like they don't have any injured players.

I might have to tread lightly for the following weeks after this brutal beatdown from the underdogs.

Edit : Another close loss, Bears got the touchdown in the final possession but they don't have enough time for the extra point.  Lips sealed

Trying out this +200 parlay (Cards ML, Packers ML, Bills ML and Jags -5.5)  since I don't like the spreads on most matches except for the Jags. The Texans are missing a lot of players and I expect the Jaguars to come out on top here and win by at least a touchdown or two. Same goes for the Bills and Cardinals, both of them just lost their previous match and I think they'll turn it up here knowing there's only a few weeks left to lock in those playoffs spot. Ravens are also missing a lot of players and the Packers should get the win with ease.

That TNF matchup was amazing to watch no matter which team you went for.
It came down to the wire and was settled in OT.
Mahomes had 410 yards passing so you know how it went but Kelce was the star of the night with the two touchdowns in the final few minutes and in extra time to seal the win for the Chiefs.
It was high scoring of course so everybodys overs won that night.

Chargers and the Chiefs ought to be a slugfest so I would expect Mahomes to turn up the juice on those passes to punch them into the endzone.

Chiefs have been hanging 30+ on people and on paper this seems like an easy over pick which is causing me concern.  I'm actually leaning on the under side of this one.  Go against the grain, most of the money is on the over.

The over hits but Rams defense was too much for Murray as he threw 2 interceptions which gave enough breathing room for the Rams to blow the game wide open and secure the win.

For later i'm liking the Chiefs, both teams could score a lot so another over seems likely but i'm leaning more towards the Chiefs since their defense looks pretty good recently as they hold teams below 15 points.

Thanks for this, appreciate the summary. I did get into baseball for a bit to try and understand how things worked out but it's all flown the brain coop since and then, blame my age and lack of motivation but I got pretty lost trying to dig into NFL.

But yeah! Packers and Steelers for me were natural picks as I felt they were the most offensive and relied always on one high performing quarters or two. Terrible to watch as a fan I guess though.

Had Cardinals to win this one with Higbee to catch on the over 49.5 yards but he was ruled out of the game so it voided it anyways.
Sorry ralle14 but your sharps in Nfl are slipping. Wink

Here is how the table looks for the teams who are going qualified to clinch and who are in a wild card position:

What an overtime win by the Bucs yesterday, couldn't believe they'd hold when everything is falling apart for them throughout the final quarter.

Today i'm going with the obvious pick which is the Cardinals moneyline and over 47.5, divisional match but both teams have the potential to bleed a lot of points so i'm expecting a similar outcome just like their last meeting.

So, guys, NFL n00b here, be wary. Could someone tell me where we're at with all this playoff goings on. Just to remind myself, these were my preseason picks on outright winners:

Steelers @37.3
Dolphins @34
Patriots @34
Seahawks @25.2
Packers @14.2

According to Sportsbet.io odds right now, these are:
Steelers @91
Dolphins @251
Patriots @8
Seahawks @251
Packers @8.5

So I'm not doing too badly, then? 2 of my 5 picks are in the Top 5. But exactly how far away are we from finding out who goes through and all that? Uncle Google is confusing me.

After my MLB heartbreak with BoSox, I'd love to get some happiness from Super Bowl =)

The current timeline of NFL games is week 14.

The regular season schedule goes up to week 18.

Then it goes like this on a week by week breakdown.

Wild Card Games (january 12 - 18)
Divisional Round (january 19 - 25)
Conference Championships (january 26 - february 1)
Pro Bowl (february 2 - 8 )
Superbowl (february 9 - 15)

Green Bay Packers is a good pick. Aaron Rodgers has looked great despite his COVID protocol troubles and injured toe. I think Rodgers is passing the ball the best out of all the current active quarterbacks playing. The biggest question for green bay is whether their defense can hold up. Green bay's defense gave up 30 points today, against a chicago team not known for their offense. In a close game, that could be the difference between win and loss.

Going for a cheeky 2 team parlay between Bucs -2.5 and Broncos moneyline for a total of 1.95, Bills are somewhat shaky and have been struggling against winning teams plus the Bucs are one game away from contesting the top spot of the NFC. Broncos are hungry for a win and I don't think the Lions would pull off another upset twice in a row knowing they have a lot of missing players.
