Self-exclusion should be taken seriously by gambling sites. But seriously, they can't break an iron with hands either. If you allow yourself to be excluded from a site, and you then create a new account through an alternative way to gamble, the site can't do much about it. Someone who likes to gamble will sooner or later always gamble, I suspect. There is very little that can be done about it.

I've actually started treatment, so while your statement is correct, this should be handled on an individual basis. When an account asks to self-exclude, it should be cut off immediately. Whether or not the cycle of creating new accounts continues or not is COMPLETELY INDEPENDENT of the request to self-exclude, which should always be honored - immediately - regardless of ANY OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES.
But still it do ends up on blaming the site because they had deposited again then lost their money again and again. If they do decide on making new account their its their
decision and theres no such thing about being irresponsible on gambling sites which people do really tend to show off.Once you do decide to self exclude then it would
automatically means that you do cut off from the site then why you would tend to make out deposits again?
It is on your own will and there's no one you could blame but only yourself.

Haven't played here, but played on the sister site which is owned by the same people. I think this may be relevant for this thread.

In October, I tried to close my account at Nitrobetting because I had a gambling problem. I did not mention this gambling problem explicitly to them, but shouldn't have to. It's embarrassing, but at this point, with my life in shambles, I don't care about admitting it. They refused to close my account after multiple requests. Instead, they said my only option was to wait for the account to go dormant. This is really concerning because A) yes, it is possible for them to close an account, and B) they advertise 'self-exclusion' options on their front page. After requesting my account be permanently closed & shut off on multiple occasions, I lost ~$15,000 USD. Note, I was a losing player throughout my existence here. Never had a winning month. I was very profitable for them. Had I been a winner, my hypothesis is that they would have honored my initial request. I did ask them about this, and they said "at no point did you mention you had a gambling problem". That's true, but I shouldn't have to. My hunch is that upper-level management was not made aware of this situation or else they would remedy this. Instead, mid-level support agents are now telling me to get lost and they have no interest in discussing ethical/moral concerns of mine, which center on them accepting business from someone who tried to self exclude numerous times.

Hi craym1890, please send a DM to our team over at Nitrobetting and send your ID as we take self exclusions seriously.

Thank you.
-Kevin

I wish that were the case; my life would be in a much better position had they done so. I already had an email exchange with their support team and they refused to do anything other than blame me for not explicitly stating I had a gambling problem. My account is finally blocked, but it was 4 months too late. That said, I sent a DM to them with you on copy. I hope you received it, but just now realize that it may not go through since I'm a 'newbie' account.

Hi Kevin - sent you a PM. Cannot contact nitrobetting on twitter; it says DM's not allowed ...from my account, at least. They also don't enable new accounts to DM them on here. Would appreciate if you reviewed my case or got me in touch with someone who can help.

Hi craym, we replied to your DM.

Thanks - I sent the email to nitrobetting as suggested; curious to see whether they take self exclusion as seriously as you mention above!

It is still important for a sportsbook/casino to be licensed beyond just data processing. It provides at least some sort of recourse / holds them to some level of accountability. This entity does not have that license. They only have a license to process data, which is all is required of them to offer their services from Costa Rica. That's why hundreds of thousands of casinos/sportsbooks operate from Costa Rica. There is no one to hold them accountable when disputes arise.

Yeah, this place claims to be licensed, but the users should be aware that it has no gambling license. Gambling licenses do not exist in Costa Rica, where Nitrogen Sports / Nitrobetting operate. Instead, they likely have a general data processing license, which is a loophole. But, if you have any complaints against them, you won't be able to recover anything by going to this data processing license issuer. That's why it's important to play at places who have an actual gambling license. You have some recourse in case the company violates their T&C.

It makes little difference which license a bookmaker has these days. Even with a license from Malta where the MGA is located, there is no guarantee of any kind between players and sites. A license is only about being able to legally offer your services, that's the only important point. I also thought that this site had a license from Curacao before?

My, how the reputation has sunk. Nitrogen was once the bee's knees for crypto gambling, but today it's a disaster.

I'd say stay away there are much better options in today's age

You can check the reputation based on the feedback here ; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=88706

Well, to be honest, although there are negative feedback already regarding the site but I'm still using the site as Nitrogensports is one of the oldest sportsbook in crypto,  but of course, I'm not as confident as before.

Is there a reason why Nitro doesn't have a outright for Bundesliga German soccer but it has one for England, Spain, Holland, Italy etc.

Hi! I will forward this to our lines manager and see what we can do.

Thanks for reaching out!

Sorry to say, You guys should close NitrogenSports now.
It's high time, you guys are obsolete. You have made over 100BTC from me in past 3-4days but your bonus system sucks big time.

Hi. We are sad to hear this. Please DM us your Nitro ID so I can check regarding bonuses.
