Apologies. Let me give a rundown of everything, mostly covered in the .PDF but with extra developments/decisions/news.
1. Regarding PoS. As I've stated the decision to hardfork from a traditionally pure PoW > PoS seems to be more technically difficult and that's why you generally see a clean PoS wallet swap hosted by an exchange. Presstab has worked wonders and delivered testing forks and code but we have been bughunting small but tough issues.
We've been debating whether to do a wallet swap hosted by exchanges and Presstab is more than capable to oversee that if necessary. However because we wanted to be one of the few/first to do a PoW>PoS hardfork the traditional way we've stuck with it. It's been a valuable learning process that helps myself, others and our PoS developer(s) better understand PoS for future work, because this obviously won't be the end. My PoS understanding has grown immensely and we will be improving PoS for a long time to come once we clear up the fork.
Because of this we've been blessed to get a second, very experienced PoS developer to help us do a hardfork the traditional way but he can't step in for a couple of weeks. I'm hoping he is happy to make himself publicly known, otherwise we respect his decision to remain anonymous. If anyone can get the job done, he can. We were debating whether to go for quick satisfaction or delay and get a fork done properly however difficult, and we've chosen the latter (see further points to make up for it).
2. Regarding the PoS time-frame. Because of the time we're spending on this I will be happy to discuss with privately and purchase NOBL from any poster in here to the tune of a few million each individual at 20 satoshi over the next few weeks. If you purchased NOBL recently thinking PoS may come sooner or were expecting to flip a quick profit but now it's taking longer than expected I will buy it off you and be done with it. I meant it in my update where I said I want to become a key investor and buy as much as I can as soon as finances come through and I can afford it (soon). My purchases from community members will be put into transparent wallets, they will be ongoing and they will become quite large if I have any say in it. If I get too many requests they will become IOUs, I will give more personal details and sign something if it makes you happy until I have enough funds clear to buy them.
3. Because of the wait I will be pushing out the Marketplace sooner rather than wait for PoS (
http://marketplace.noblemovement.com). This week. It needs SSL but then should be good to go at least initially. I still need to do some travel to make the case for large bullion trade but that will have to come after PoS. More merchants will be coming on board.
4. Wallet Because a PoS fork is not my forte I have instead been building alternative wallets incorporating all the features that have been appealing in other wallets from coins that have since unfortunately dwindled. This includes a new choice of designs, inbuilt explorers, greater control and flexibility, market stats, the lot. We will start pushing these out regularly with updates for those who want to test them until we're comfortable with a few finished products and release them officially with PoS. The testing wallets will start coming at the end of this week or next week.
5. Updates/Quiet We have been quieter for a reason. I've been very busy and it's been directly related to NOBL and cryptocurrency. Any news we can share will come as soon as it can, but I can't give timeframes or release news until it's 100%. I am not going anywhere, but if you want to buy NOBL, do it with a longer-term monthly mindset. If that feels too risky for you don't try to swing or trade because until we have something finished we won't give too much info. to affect the market. Like I said earlier, if you feel burnt by the last week and don't want to sell at a loss but are happy to wait a little, PM me and I will take it off your hands as soon as funds clear.
6. Community Involvement New teams, new developers, new ambassadors. We'll be updating and improving our site. I still stress we need community involvement for promotion and other developments. We can't have everyone sitting around waiting for news and announcements and for us to do stuff. Be the news, promotion and announcements (and get paid for it). Don't get me wrong we love doing this and have been working, but this is a surprisingly thankless job, relatively unpaid and full of death/money threats (of which all kinds I'm now accustomed to). NOBL always comes first for me unless it's time when I need to get the rent paid. Fortunately a lot of my side work is crypto. related and will benefit NOBL in the long-run.
Edit: Above about work is not me complaining in the slightest. I love this scene and after 7 months most pretty much washes right off me. I have nothing to hide and my personal security is quite serious. I'm just trying to make a point that the reality is we are not structured financially or culturally nor function like a corporation where we are overpaid directors. I do see a lot of potential future scenarios play out though, and we'll see where crypto. takes us in a few years and how community sentiment changes or 'evolves'.The mini-update for those who missed it:
