Changing avatars is currently not possible.
Also my poloniex address is still the old format. Can I withdraw to my wallet with the new address format?
The old numbers format are interchangeable with the new rs format

I can use the numbers forever, or they will eventually abolished?

They are still being recognized in the core, but it will not be supported for ever.

I'm pretty sure the dev's said the API will always support the numeric IDs. however, all the wallets and UI will only support RS going forward to minimize user data entry errors.

You are right. I worded that wrong.

On the price:
Shit.....but NXT is not the only alt that's suffering. It's August, people want to cash out for holidays and summer toys.
Look at the current alt-coin slaughter as a damn good buy-in opportunity......

I don't want to see cashing out for Christmas, lol

Heres my 3 cents for today:

Transaction fees:
Will be lowered/changed soon.
I agree that a 1NXT fee to change an AE order could be seen as being too high, but the AE is not intended as a high frequency trading platform and, right now, thats the way it is.

On exchanges:
We've just had two new exchanges come on board with NXT:

www.ccedk.com
www.hitbtc.com

Both are fairly new, but very professional, and both offer a range of fiat transfer possibilities, which is cool.
They obiously suffer from the chicken and egg problem : need to get volume to get users, need users to get volume.  Shocked
But: if you want to have a trading option that isn't BTER or Cryptsy, put your money where your mouth is and start trading with them.
I've been doing most of my NXT trading on CCEDK recently, and I've also traded some BTC and NXT on HitBtc, They both work very well.

On the price:
Shit.....but NXT is not the only alt that's suffering. It's August, people want to cash out for holidays and summer toys.
Look at the current alt-coin slaughter as a damn good buy-in opportunity......

I understand charging a fee, but 6000 sats? just to change my price? Sorry that seems unreasonable. I have a suspicion many agree.

I would say 99% already agree 1 nxt fee is too high and have been waiting for it to go down. Nobody disputes that it will drop. But your statement implied there should be no fee.
Hence my not so nice sarcastic ebay link.

Don't mind me I'm just mad because I"ve seen nxt rise and then fall so many times but never sold and rebought like the manipulating whales are doing. I feel like a sucker. I paid a lot of usd to get the low six figures nxt that I have. I'm being punished being a holder because I never sell them. If I sold on pumps and bought back on the dumps I'd have closer to a million nxt. I'd love to have a million nxt but can not afford it. So the fact that I had opportunities to increase my nxt by trading but never doing so because of my fear of being a bitcoin bag holder waiting for nxt to go down. How naive to think every time nxt hit 10k to 15k that it would never go back to 5k. I feel so dumb.

What you describe is exactly my situation too: bought (mostly) at peak; low 6 figure holding and since then have been sitting on my hands watching the price head south. Can't say I feel like a sucker though - no-one conned me into buying when I did and I knew I was taking a risk but the potential upside for NXT is huge so imo the risk was and remains worth it.

I just tried to cancel a sell order to adjust the price in the AE and says I need 1 NXT to do so? It costs me to adjust the @^#%#^ price of my asset?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh?

Yes, cause it is a transaction on the block change that needs fees.

Send me your address and I'll send you some NXT for fees.

Thnak you that is very generous of you, but Its cool man I will just purchase a few and send it. I just don't think it makes any sense for me to pay 1 NXT to lower my price on an asset only worth 25 NXT. (I am lowering it from 28 to 25) just seems, wrong. 4% fee just to change a number haha.

instantDEX will solve this.

The transaction fee will be lowered. The core devs are talking about having a fee schedule such that different types or sizes of transactions require different fees. I don't know where this is in the development plan, but they are aware that 1NXT is far too high for most transactions.

That are good news!

5200 satoshis to change an order and 5200 satoshis to place an order. That might be much for a 1$ transaction. But many brokers have a flatfee for fullfilled orders : ~5 USD!

Also if you want to sell 1 Million NXT on the NXT AE you still only pay 1 NXT Wink That is the lowest fee ever!

You must have many friends.
Not many no. But your accusatory statement that nxt or any coin is being unreasonable to have to charge a fee to make a transaction was silly. You could have asked instead of demanded an explanation for your "@^#%#^ price of my asset?". Its not nxt's fault that you don't understand how things work. I'm not mad at you please don't be made at me. its no big deal. Who the heck cares anyway all my coins are dying ahhhhhhhh.

3.4 cents is unreasonable? Charles Schwab would charge you $7 and you would think it was a bargain.  Smiley

Hey welcome to bitcointalk. This is a site where people discuss things related to this new thing called cryptocurrencies. Everything you do within it is a transaction that must be validated by peers on a blockchain. Come back and check it out some more after you visit the website you thought you were on. Here is the link. ebay.com
