With a minute spot, I would suggest getting a couple of different people to read different spots.  You could have somebody doing mythbusting spots but I think it would be better to instead focus on the really cool features built into next and helping people imagine the reasons why they would actually want to use it.  People are very creative once you point them in the right direction, but the metacoin layer thing is a tough sell at first.     If you focus on the negative stuff people think about NXT, you come off as defensive but if you just talk about why your project is neat and why you're excited about it, that will attract more attention because people think its a good thing not a bad thing.

The perspective YOU bring, going into talk to people about NXT will be reflected in how they react.  If you think they'll hate it, they're probably going to hate it because you'll couch your words in such a way to make them prepare to hate it.  

You guys don't need to be defensive, you have a major advantage - a product that's out, and that seems to work with a development team that doens't have the legal liability of your competitors or some of the jurisdictional risk.   Your disadvantage is NXT appears to be a bit headless, with a few self-appointed organizers but no real structure besides stakeholders acting in what they feel is their own best interest.   It might be interesting talking about that, how NXT is a *real* decentralized org in that there is no formal company at all doing the development or paying for anything.

Not really a personal matter, the reason it was brought up is marketing strategies, not to start debating global warming in general.
I had no idea that so many NXTers are so uninformed, so I was surprised as hell.

The reason it is important to highlight (in my opinion) is that it's currently a hot topic in tech magazines in regards to Bitcoin. So it's a free marketing oppourtunity.

This seems the logical thing to me.
Anyone is free to think as they please.

The global warming discussion is one I would happily discuss, but not in regards to Nxt. That's a personal matter.

Look into the blockchain

I responded cogently to his post, and he has not rebutted.  I can only take this to mean that he's accepted my responses.   He's responded EMOTIONALLY to people who have POSTED emotionally.  So.... don't do that.  Be rational, thank him for discussing Nxt, and offer to counter his critiques with better information.  Bashing him or his post does nobody any good.

the only fact is that GW stopped since 15 years. since 1999 temperatures have not been rising and the arctic is at its largest in 50 years.
having said that preserving our planet and not exploiting its resources are a big deal to me.
so yeah there's no need to bring the GW BS into the agenda. it would only harm NXT.
keep it green but keep it factual.

Tiered voting is not suited for all types of decisions, so we need both regular and tier voting.

We are not in the business of politics yet. We're in the business of money and we should only compare the increased efficiency of PoS over PoW in money terms.
Peercoin has been playing the green spin game for a long time with only minimal success. This said, even they, who proudly display the green propaganda aren't as fast to associate themselves with global warming.
There is a reason for that.
There are certain politics a non niche business should always avoid. Among these is global warming. Another is nationality racial or religious preferences that are explicitly stated. There are many more, in fact the list of what not to associate yourself with its bigger than the opposite.
The incident that happened in the last few pages is an example of why certain things are avoided by the business world.
So now that, just like several of you, I was compelled to share my opinion after reading that someone was trying to go into the global warning business, I will leave this post at this hoping that I will not read about more people being added to ignore lists. Hoping that I don't read more about people's opinions on some business we have nothing to do with.

Just the same way we don't belong in politics, politics does not belong here.

Also for the confused, marketing = public relations = propaganda. So please don't find yourself offended by the term propaganda too because every business is in the business of that, they just call it PR.

I agree totally with Uniqueorn: Global Warming isn't a political belief or thesis, it's a fact and we should use the benefits of NXT for marketing and in discussions.

the energy efficiency  it's not just about preserving our planet but also about having a system which costs less to run. sustainable from just end users devices.
energy and hardware costs endured by bitcoin miners will be passed onto users when coins start running out (through increased fees)
not to mention these mining corporations are becoming increasingly scary...and wouldn't be surprised to see mining corporations holding the bitcoin system  at ransom very soon.
.and be prepared for miners strikes!   (those are guaranteed!)
in other words not having to deal with miners is a godsend.
btw bitcoins carbon footprint if it was to become main currency of the world would be 3x worlds total....
people who till the other day were eco trendys....have become bitcoin trendys...and now all of a sudden they don't mind hashing our planet away.

I therefore concluded to have a dedicated voting-fee distribution system.

Nxt is about distribution. The more the more robust, more reliable, more trustworthy etc. etc.


Anyway, I am interested in how a big shareholder could achieve what you said. The possibility seems quite low to me.
