I don't believe you: drop the price of NXT.  Do it.  I'll gobble that up like there's no tomorrow.

And if it turns out that you are sitting on those accounts: you forget that your wealth is just encoded in software, it's not magic, and the rules can be changed.

I don't believe Emule is an original stakeholder, but regardless, you can't support wealth confiscation / re-distribution.  This will destroy the Nxt community.

No one knows who controls those accounts.  The more people that criticize those stakeholders the less likely they are to want to participate because they will feel like they aren't part of the community.  Don't forget that by not selling they are protecting the network from a 90% financial attack.  Also, those big holders will be the ones that support Nxt into the coming years.  They will have the financial resources to do so.

Don't mind me.  I'm just baiting him.  Wink

BTW, I'm certain he's not a stake-holder:

That is beyond hilarious, love it.

Hi,

can a captcha system be integrated to prevent users from spamming the network with super small transactions?

I would like to remind you all that PeerExplorer.com runs a great program to award nodes and makes it an incentive to run public nodes.

The system will soon run low on caches (accounts with NXT in them) to award nodes with.

If a big stakeholder is out there reading this, a donation to the person running Peer Explorer would be great so he can add to the cache system of rewards.

This particular page in the thread is doubleplusgood. And we reached it BEFORE a cold, bright day in April.

@opticalcarrier: how do you feel about setting up an exchange implementation group, as outlined below?
Might be bounty in it for ya......

I vote that we don't.
We have talented guys in NXT that have been helping with exchange implementation (opticalcarrier springs to mind, + others).
If we spent the 100 kNXT bounty on financing these guys to set up an exchange implementation workgroup and get them to fully document their procedures, we can get a package together that will allow all exchanges to implement NXT without the technical problems that so many seem to be having.

Helping, documenting, spreading the implementation info and providing support will pay off way better in the long run than simple bribery.
Again, if providing tech help doesn't cut it, then we can try bribery.

Don't forget, we just blew something like 2-3 BTC on MintPal and they then turned around and said: "Sorry , we don't understand NXT, how about some nice TeslaCoin instead? "

I say we offer them 20k Nxt for testing purposes along with the help of our devs.  You could even tell Cryptsy that BTC38 and BTC-e are adding Nxt and vice versa.  Tell them it was an easy implementation with the help of our devs.

Sure but i have no idea about running an exchange.

I can prob write some stuff up on wiki on which apis to use, and examples of howto use them,  and tailor it to the interactions ive had with some of the exchanges ive already worked with

Just talked to bittrex, they have only 86 signups from nxt at the moment..

You should all go and sign up.

Quote
Go to https://bittrex.com/Account/Register and use SUPPORT_NXT as the invite code. This gets you past the invite code queue. Place some trades, enabled 2FA, or try any of our other features to help us stress the site before the final launch. If you find a bug, we're handing out bug bounties as well. Having a great exchange helps us but also helps the NXT community.

Done. Testing trading some DOGE until they add NXT.  Grin

done. got two accounts.

Yeah...auto-update: everyone gets the same bug at the same time.
Auto-updates - software's pure evil. Decreasing natural protection from social engineering attacks to 0 and decreasing natural protection from "fool developer" to 0. Software installation'd be completely under user's control. Even optional auto-updating is bad, cos majority'll flow to easy way, fatal risks to decentralized systems.

which is why I always thought by the mindset of its best to be on the latest NRS.
If there's critical update of protocol, good dev's giving time to to think/multicheck (for anyone and for himself) everything and always says about it. So does Jean-Luc.

** Cryptsy Update **

I just heard back from Paul (met him at the Miami Bitcoin Conference), they are looking to implement Nxt in the next few weeks.
I talked with Big Vern @Skype and I introduced CfB to him - he said he will talk to Paul about it (to get help from CfB if needed).

Fantastic. I did a virtual introduction with all the different devs including CfB and Jean-Luc a few weeks ago as well... they have the resources, now it's just a matter of finding time to implement. Nxt keeps taking another step.

Let me make a suggestion to keep this ball rolling.  We should ask the Cryptsy folks to document what was required to get NXT plugged into their system.  Then we should turn right around to allwelder or some of the other Chinese NXT members and see that this info from Cryptsy gets communicated to BTX38.com in China.  We need to be on both of these exchanges as soon as possible.  It is the only way we are going to get exposure to a new pool of capital to buy NXT and get our exchange volume back up.
during last voting(not for trading, just for adding to their database and mainpage),Nxt was ranked  back.victor is PRT.
http://www.coin38.org/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1672

BTC38 choose coins from their database to put it into trading system.
So we need first to let Nxt be added into their database.

I have contact with them, there will be another vote recently.

So now,we  first need to register on www.coin38.org,fill personal profile, prepare for the next voting for adding Nxt to their database.
Come on,Nexters.
