Still it will affect due to the players walking on the pitches, so days passes there will be no grass but better have something other than nothing that is why they choose one stadium to play this tour.

The matches may be held at the same ground. But there is a chance that different set of pitches are used for them. As far as I know, most of the grounds have 2-3 pitches and the curator usually prepare 1-2 additional pitches in addition to the main one. If that is the case, then the concern about the surface deterioration doesn't make any sense.
I am not talking about the deterioration, imagine the pitches were too close to each other so infield players will walk and run over their while fielding which could do some damage to it so it may not act like a fresh pitch even though players were batting on different pitches.

They are trying to limit the time window and the travel requirements in order to ensure the safety of the players.
The travel requirement is intense and they will quarantine you where ever you go and it is a smart move by the ECB to have a location for the matches but what happens to the pitch, it will deteriorate if they are playing all the match in one ground, no idea how they will be dealing that as i always thought pitch preparation takes month.

all of the ODIs against Ireland will be played at Southampton. Earlier they were planning three different venues. Similarly, all the 3 tests against West Indies are being played at Manchester and Southampton

As mentioned by @bryant.coleman the test are being played on two different pitches and the one days will be played on the same ground. I do not think it will hamper the pitch as, there is gap of few days after every match so it won't be a big problem.

Right now tough schedule for England as now they are going to play last test match 24 to 28 July and then just very little time for rest as 30th July they have first ODI against Ireland then they have test series against Pakistan hopefully all goes good for rest of all players.

It is understandable. Because of the COVID 19 pandemic, they want to play as many matches as possible in one go. If you check the schedules, all of the ODIs against Ireland will be played at Southampton. Earlier they were planning three different venues. Similarly, all the 3 tests against West Indies are being played at Manchester and Southampton. However, there are great teams already played in cricket and this should be their goals and mindset that one day they will be able to meet them and by that time comes they should be ready for it. Winning or lossing does not count when it comes rather it is how they play and showed their worth as a team.
As far as i remember Pakistan always produced great bowlers but now they fail to produce exceptional talents we used to see in the past may be because of their selection process or lack of clarity and preparation in finding out new talents, whatever it may be it is hurting the team as i always thought Pakistan had the best bowlers from Asia but now India took over that position and developing new talents is always necessary for cricket to flourish and every team must improve their infrastructure in finding young talents.

Most of the games played around right now were with zero audience. There is no information shared regarding the upcoming match between England and Ireland. This means the match seems to be played as the past without any kind of restrictions. Both the squads were with young players. This will be very interesting to watch, and after a long international cricket is being played.

Ireland has announced a 21 member training squad for the series. And it includes most of the familiar faces. I heard that they landed on Southampton via a special chartered flight. Today they are supposed to take part in a practice match, although I don't have any details regarding the same. On 26th, they will be playing a warm-up match against the England Lions and the first ODI will be played on 30th July.

Thanks for your replies. I understand your skepticism regarding the current form of the Irish cricket team. Actually, their performance seems to have gone downhill after they got the test status. But still, I am a bit more optimistic. From what I have seen, the Irish players have a never say die attitude. They have managed upsets, even during the most distressing times. I am just hoping that they will not end up like Kenya (after all the hype made when they reached the 2003 World Cup semi-finals).

Irish team is no match to the present England team. The team which will be playing the three ODI's consist of mostly inexperienced players. These three ODI will only help the younger players to gain experience. Not looking forward to anything else.

If you ask me i really love the underdog winning the match but when Ireland defeated England in the World Cup they had a really young team and they had some really surprising players that are not exposed to the general population especially Kevin O'Brien was crucial for the win and i seriously do not remember them replicating that win against any top opponents after that but the present England team is the best they had as long as i remember watching cricket.

There is no depth in Irish cricket. The Irish cricket team is a combined team representing two different countries (the Republic of Ireland, and Northern Ireland). In both the countries, cricket can be regarded as a minor sport. The first class structure is in the infancy and two of the four provinces doesn't even have first class teams (Connacht and Munster).

There is some cricketing talent in Ireland, but then the ultimate dream of every Irish cricketer is to play for England. Those who are really good (such as Eoin Morgan) play for England on a continuous basis. Those who are not that good (such as Boyd Rankin and Ed Joyce) return to Ireland once they are kicked out of the England squad. If they continue to lose their best players, how can they compete against the best teams? You can say that it's just one or two players. But these are their best players. Imagine an Irish team with Eoin Morgan as the captain. They could have offered a lot of resistance even to the big-3 teams.

Someone can confirm this - the next international ODI match will be played on 30th this month, between England and Ireland in Southampton. England seems to be struggling against West Indies now, and therefore I would say that there is a realistic chance of an upset or two. Ireland is not in great form for the last 1-2 years, but a win against England can be life-changing for them.
You cannot underestimate the England side in ODI, in the Test format it was a close match in the first game against West Indies and they were lucky as England was rusty in the field as they dropped many chances in the final day and in the second Test the weather was helping West Indies and one day was washed away and that will provide West Indies an advantage as they could draw the match from this situation but not expecting any upset from Ireland and that too in ODI.

How do you expect that, Ireland will win an ODI match against England? England is much much better than Ireland team. It's true that England lose against west indies, you know some of England's legendary players were not in the squad to corona virus issue or their personal issue and West Indies is a hard team too. West Indies are better than Ireland. I've seen a news that, Jofar Archer will back on next match, he is a great bowler. I think he will be able to give us a devastating innings against Ireland.

@Vishnu.Reang yes it’s confirmed that England are playing Ireland on July 30th, and for next time you can always type Country Sport Fixture in google, e.g. England Cricket Fixtures as that’ll help you see all the upcoming fixtures quickly. Furthermore Ireland captain has warned England that they have the potential to cause an upset, but in my personal opinion England has a superior squad, hence I feel that we won’t be witnessing any upset in this fixture.

A lot of people are comparing Babar Azam with Virat Kohli (including Inzamam-ul-Haq), but in my opinion this is not proper since Babar has played a lot less when compared to Virat. Recently Harsha Bhogle rated him as one of the over-rated players in T20, despite topping the ICC rankings.
Babar Azam is a young prospect and comparing him to established players will put extra pressure on him to perform and it will make and break players, he is really good in the shorter format of the game and he should showcase his talents in the Test format and that too for a longer period of time and the consistency reminds whether he could cope up with the situation and overcome pressure when he is compared to Kohli. Let him play his natural game and win many tournaments for Pakistan and then compare him to established players.

No doubt Babar Azam is a great talent. He is very young and he has got a lot of time to shine in the cricketing world. But, comparing him with Virat is out of the question. I do not think it would be right to declare Babar Azam as a overrated player. This guy has got a lot of potential and to display his talent he has to play more, unfortunately it is not happening.
