It is going to be wickets that matter here if WI lose it SL will win the match as it would add more pressure on coming batsman.

Don't read too much in to this win. Apart from a few individual performances, South Africa still looks like a weakened squad. They were in trouble earlier on, but the partnership between Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller made the difference, with another good knock from Kyle Verreynne. Let's see whether they will be able to maintain the momentum.

For Australia, their middle order failed for the umpteenth time. This time it was Mitchell Marsh/Carey/Short.

An all round performance by SA team has lead to this superb win over OZ. And due to which they were able to beat OZ by 74 runs margin which itself is an achievement for them. SA will have to maintain this balance in coming matches so that they can win series as well. Klassen was his 123 not out innings was named man of the match.

SA has made a comeback and picked up crucial wickets and due to this OZ now require 95 runs in 58 balls and 4 wickets only remaining . This is getting tougher and most like OZ would lose this match. Ngidi is pick of the bowlers till now as picked 3 till now and bowling well too .

Even i did not expect South Africa to dominate the match, Australia started good but Klaasen played an exceptional innings to take South Africa to 297 runs and now Australia is struggling as they lost 5 wickets for 187 runs and they still need 105 runs to win the match and with the way South Africa is putting pressure on the Australian batsman it is a difficult task for them.

Klaasen is batting on 119 runs and Miller got out at 64. SA have a decent score on the board now and are 283/6 in 49.1 overs. Looking back the way they lost quick 3 wickets the team would be very satisfied as the middle order pulled them out from that initial trouble. Now SA will have to pick up early wickets else OZ opener are very aggressive and will take the game away if they stay 10 -15 overs on the pitch.

It looks as if the partnership between Heinrich Klaasen and Kyle Verreynne pulled South Africa out of trouble. When Temba Bavuma got cleaned up by Pat Cummins, they were struggling at 48/3. This partnership has added valuable runs, and that too at a good pace. Ashton Agar is not playing today, which is very surprising after his good performance during the T20 series.

Verreynne is batting on 26 and SA now require a good partnership to ensure they could sustain full 50 overs and can score as close to 300 runs in order to put pressure on OZ.

Asia Cup used to be one of the most high profile tournaments in the international cricket calendar. I am sad to witness its decline. Now they have converted the tournament to T20 format from ODI, which will further erode its importance. They could have at least increased the number of teams from 6 to 8, but right now they are not interested in that idea. Else, it would have given cricket crazy nations such as Nepal a chance to compete against the big teams.
