No need to feel bad about the terminology. That is a standard one. The match was abandoned due to crowd disturbance and Sri Lanka was declared as the winners, since they were ahead as per the Duckworth/Lewis rule. Back then, it used to be very difficult to control the crowd. After a few such incidents, the BCCI ordered the construction of barricades around the stands, and these sort of incidents never got repeated.
I didn't find any joke in it because my mind is functional . :-P

But in reply to your comments, yeah it was shameful considering Eden garden has a rich history and they fucked up badly and BCCI along with the states keep this memory fresh so that no one can repeat such shameful act ever again.

Yes, The final was won by Srilanka but they beat India in the semi final in India. This was the biggest upset and the Indian fans did not allowed to complete the match when they saw their team losing. The stadium was put on fire.

They will get 100% of their contract fees, and earnings from advertisements and endorsements. At the most, they may face a 10% or 20% reduction in the annual salary (in the form of forfeited match fees).
That is a very generous pay cut if you ask me. Politicians themselves received around 30-40% pay cuts. This makes Cricketers even more lucky under current conditions especially when the world is facing a recession.Yup.
Adding to that, only a few of the cricketers have contributed to the COVID 19 relief. Individuals such as Ravi Shastri are yet to donate a penny, despite almost every single celebrity in other fields doing so.
