Ah well, India lost the toss and Batting first  Shocked. so far very slow start from Indian openers, Both Rohit and Rahul going with old tested technique of India "Keep your head down at start" no need to say both are eyeing on big inning because historically its batting paradise and India need at least 320 score if they want to win the game(Plus 10+15 runs for buffer) otherwise game looks tough for them.
As far now India is going good 95 for no loss and at a good rate of 5 runs per over.

Seems Captain dropped an all rounder and replaced with a full time bowler now team look complete.

350 for India,guaranteed. Wink

It's really irritating that India is loosing toss in last 2 or 3 matches but just like 3rd  T-20 match India is really rocking in this match. Current score is 126  with no loss in 22  over. Go RoHIT and Rahul.

This time India started well after losing the toss and Rahul has made half century and Rohit Sharma is batting at 46. India were 110 in 21 overs without a wicket. They will have to make 325+ in order to make this match interesting and win this one .

Yeah, so far so good. Rohit is very careful today or should i say slow? but i don't mind if he's playing slow because Rahul doing his job perfectly on another end and Rohit can easily keep up with his strike rate as game proceeds, it would be shame if he gets out though.

Indian Bowling looks tricky to me in absence of bumrah-chahal.

Need a big decision from the captain or the team will be unbalanced for this series.
The toss will be a big factor in this match too, India does have the players to chase the score but when they are put to bat first they usually struggle as they do not have the bowlers to contain the opposition nor able to pick wickets and the match depends on the toss and if India is able to win the toss they will be fielding first unless they are determined to make a huge total on the board so that they can put pressure on the West Indies batsman like they did in the third T20.

Historically, Vizag is a Batsman paradise, you are right Toss will be a big factor. The team that wins the toss will bat first. Since, India has a very weak bowling line up I think if Kohli wins the toss then he will field first, so that they can chase the score. Match depends on the performance of india batsmen.

Last match our top 3 batsmen failed to score good. Kedar Jadhav seems to be offering little as a bowler and to have him alongside Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube seems to be a Bad trio combo.

They have given enough chances to Kedar Jadhav, and time has come for the selectors to find some replacement. Everyone is very vocal about the selectors giving too many opportunities to the 22-year old Rishabh Pant. But no one complains about the 35-year old Kedar Jadhav, despite the fact that he has no noticeable performances to his name during the last 2-3 years. The last time he scored a century was almost three years ago. He made a total of 443 runs from 17 ODI innings so far this year. I am sure that there are better batsmen among the reserve players.
Don't blame Jadhav for not scoring runs,he should be up in the betting order or should open the innings because he is that kind of batsmen but lack of spot forced him to play down the order and shuffling too much also will damage the real nature of a player.India is playing with two wicket keeper batsmen which is the real reason they can't find three pacers on their attack.

Need a big decision from the captain or the team will be unbalanced for this series.

Virat Kohli & Co. will look to bounce back as they take on Windies in the 2nd ODI in Vizag today. Who do you think will WIN todays match?

The concern that India is facing is with Bowling department and if India manages to bowl well then they should win the match . Also expecting a change in a bowler compared to last ODI and batting line up may remain the same .

A day to forget for team India,Do you miss captain cool in this match? If MSD was playing then there will be total change in the playing nature of every player especially their fielding will be best.

Oh.. common.. you can't blame the absence of Mahendra Singh Dhoni on the defeat. I don't think the outcome could have been any different, if he was playing. His replacement (Rishabh Pant) was the top scorer for India, making 71 from 69 balls. India lost the match because the top order collapsed, and Sreyas Iyer also wasted a lot of balls while building the 3rd wicket partnership with Rohit Sharma. The total was only 80 runs after the 18th over and this slow start made sure that India would score less than 300. And any score less than 300 is not easy to defend on the batsmen-friendly surfaces of India.
I am not blaming team India for losing that match, just missed captain cool his place on the team is more than running scores so Pant is not the perfect replacement for him even if he score runs since the work behind the stumps will be much differ from MSD.

Hope,India will give best performance on today's match which is going to start in the few hours.Do you guys feel will there be any replacement in the team?

Harsha raising very good and critical question but sadly there is no solution to this problem for at least next 5-10 years IMO. its hard to find next Sachin,Sehwag, Yuvraj,Raina.

It's game, we need to enjoy every moment because some time, even though we score less 250 runs we will win, it doesn't mean we have to similar batsmen like Sachin, Sehwag, Yuvraj etc. Already current team members who scored decently in the last match but it happened in International cricket.

This Visakhapatnam ground is considered heaven for batsmen and both Indian- Windies batsmen have good record in this ground. If i am not wrong then this is the same ground where spectators enjoyed the tie after Indian team scoring 300+runs, same opponents (IND vs WI). So India might want to go with 5 specialist bowlers tomorrow.

I doubt if Indian team thinking about ranking atm. Grin they just want to be alive in the series by winning the game.

5 specialist bowlers including Jadeja? Or Jadeja in addition to five bowlers? I would prefer the first case, because from the first match it was evident that the Indian middle order is not as strong as they claim it to be. Once the top order batsmen got out, the run rate dropped to unsustainable levels, as Sreyas Iyer and the other middle order batsmen took a lot of time to settle in. And this was one of the reasons why they were unable to score a total in excess of 300. And at Visakhapatnam, you have almost zero chances of win, if the total is below 300.

Tomorrow is the 2nd ODI between India Vs WI which would be played at Vishkapatnam . It would be interested to see what changes team India does in the bowling line up considering the first match where India lost the match one sided .

Hmmm.. the Visakhapatnam ODI is very crucial, because this is a 3-match series and in case West Indies manage to beat India, then they will win the series. And this can have an impact on the ODI rankings for India, as they are currently at the 2nd place with 120 points. If they lose another ODI match, then England will be able to widen the gap between them and India.

It is a realistic point that there is a lack of batting all rounders apart from Jadeja and Pandya is injured for a very long period of time and you cannot find players like Sachin Sehwag or Yuvraj who could change the match with bat and ball and i feel we under appreciated Yuvraj when he was playing as he was fully utilized as an all rounder around the 2011 world cup and he performed above all expectations.

This problem is old but no one really talks about it much, so its good that prominent commentator from India speaking about this but i feel this statement should come from the management or selectors then we can expect some kind of improvements.

As far as i know not a single batsmen in the Top order wants to bowl or even try to bowl. Bowlers try to bat in the Test format but they are not good enough for the Shorter format.  some might say that Yuvraj is under appreciated because of his exclusion in 2015 World cup. but i believe he's loved among the cricket fraternity in India.
