The defeat of the Indian cricket team in the final match against Australia can be attributed to various reasons. While the Australian bowlers displayed only average bowling quality, the Indian batsmen seemed to give away to the pressure of the importantl match. Despite Rohit Sharma providing a solid start, the top-order batsmen failed to capitalize on it. The collective nervousness of the Indian batsmen resulted in struggles against what was deemed average-quality bowling.

Initially, Australia did not do much better in matches where South Africa were in a better position than India from the start. But it was really interesting that the Australian team got a great victory in this World Cup by beating South Africa and getting to the final instead. Although we have seen that India have won each of their matches by a great margin from the opposing teams, but in the final match against Australia they played very badly. The five-time world champion team, Australia, won the World Cup for the sixth time with an outstanding performance against India in the final match. No one could have imagined that Australia would present such a beautiful game to everyone, but I appreciate the Australian team, who defeated India at the Indian ground and became world champions for six times.
The Indian batsmen may not have been able to take the extra pressure of the final match naturally as the Australian bowlers have not bowled very well. In the final match Australian bowlers had average bowling quality but Indian batsmen were more nervous that's why they could not deal well with the average quality ball. Rohit Sharma gave a good start, after Rohit Sharma's dismissal the top order batsmen should have done a bit better. If the top-order batsmen could have done a bit better, India's final finish would have been better.

In the match India lost against Australia, there is no specific person to blame but the batsmen's combined poor performance which led to the team's loss. If India's opponent in the final match was South Africa or New Zealand instead of Australia, then India would have won this match.

They were very much interested in winning that final match, but Australia played well on their day. I still believed that with the form India was in, they should have won the World Cup, but unfortunately, they could not deliver on the biggest stage of World Cricket.

From the very start, after Rohit's dismissal, the Indian team looked under pressure. The Australian team had only one strategy; go hard or go home. They were putting pressure on every step of the way with their aggressive fielding and bowling. That partnership between Virat and Rahul was good, but they had not taken any chances and dried up the boundaries. This was the phase where Australia locked their victory.

The partnership between Virat and Rahul stabilized the Indian innings. But after sometime, they had to step up the scoring rate, which they failed to do. During middle overs, India was scoring at around 3 runs per over, and that too against part-time bowlers such as Glenn Maxwell and Travis Head. And when finally they decided to accelerate, Virat got out and the innings simply collapsed. Also, horribly disappointed with Suryakumar Yadav. He was supposed to score valuable runs under pressure situations, but he failed when it mattered the most.

I like to treat everyone as a friend 🔹
The final match was really incredible. Australia showed a surprise that day.  India played very well throughout the entire ICC World Cup and in every match India won the matches by a huge margin of runs. But coming to the final, Australia showed a good game, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra jadeja, SKY all these players were dismissed by only a few runs.  In the game of cricket I think India has the most fans and most people predicted that India is going to win the World Cup this year. But India came to the final and showed a very poor performance. Australia had a very good preparation due to which Australia was able to play so well in the final. And they won this World Cup

As dominant as the Indian batsmen have been throughout the World Cup, no one expected the Indian team to face such a batting disaster against Australia in the final. India even won the first round match against Australia very easily. So everyone thought that the host India team was the favorite in the final match.

Apart from India's three experienced batsmen, Rohit, Kohli and Rahul, none of the batsmen can bat well. I expected a somewhat responsible performance from Suryakumar. But as usual he also cannot play big innings. The bowling of the Australian bowlers was very controlled. At the same time we must appreciate the captaincy of Pat Cummins. Pat Cummins has managed to use the right bowler at the right time. This is why the Indian batsmen were under a lot of pressure.
But it must be admitted that Australia prepared well for their batsmen as well as bowling. think how India set the target to just 240 runs. Although India could play full 50 overs but could not collect good runs. And Australia overcame that target with 43 for just 4 wickets there. And Australia won the match by 6 wickets. But if India had fielded without batting first, they would have had a lot of chances to win. But luckily Australia won the toss and they decided to field. Coming to the final match, India's game quality was poor and their luck were also work very bad. Due to this India lost the final match by playing the match in their home ground
Australia won the toss and decided to field first. India's strongest batsmen were bowled out for 240 runs by brilliant bowling. With a target of 241 runs, the Australian team came down to bat and got a shock at the beginning. After losing three wickets for 43 runs, the Australian team was under a bit of pressure. After that, Head took the lead of the team. With the great batting of Head, the Australian team began to get a glimpse of victory. Head made 137 runs from 120 balls. Undoubtedly, the Australian team bowled brilliantly as they managed to restrict a team like India to 240 runs.
Australia was behind South Africa in the points table and India and South Africa were far ahead in terms of points, meanwhile Australia went to the last minute and got a chance in the final and they beat India in the final match and became the champion.  It is a big achievement for them. India is a very good team in the game of cricket to beat that team so badly and win the match is a big thing. I always appreciate Australia's win like that. Australia won the match by 6 wickets which was a truly remarkable victory.

@Helliumz in my personal opinion it felt like team India wasn’t interested in winning this match because they completely lacked the intent that Australia player’s showed and had they put in some more efforts then this would have been a real competitive match. Furthermore now I’m looking forward to the new team led by Pandya and Pant because these two can take a more aggressive approach and not surrender the match due to pressure.

The Ashes series win against England

A little correction. Australia did not win the Ashes in 2023. They just retained the trophy because the previous winner was Australia already. The Ashes series of 2023 was drawn. But, according to the Ashes rules, the previous series winner retained the trophy. I remember that England had terrible luck during the series. England could have won the 4th match but rain washed out the match.

Back to the main point. Australia played awesome in the last years but they did not play well against India right before the World Cup. Even they lost the first match against India in the group stage. But they have won the World Cup from there.
The Ashes series 2023 was drawn but Australia won the series in 2022 due to which Australia retained the Ashes series despite the draw this season.
Australia's early performance was not good at all. Australia played an ODI series against India before the start of the World Cup where Australia lost the first two matches by a big margin although they won the last match against India. After losing the first two matches against India, Australia also lost against India in the World Cup tournament and Australia lost a few more matches in the first leg. Due to Australia's poor performance in the beginning, we thought that Australia might not make it to the semi-finals, but in the end, Australia turned around brilliantly and that home stand took them to the World Cup.

India could not perform in the final match the way India performed in the remaining ten matches except the final. Mohammed Shami, Siraj, Bumrah could not continue the way they bowled in other matches in the final match. After all, India performed very badly in the three departments of fielding, bowling, batting, for which if a team does badly in all three areas, what can be expected except defeat.

No need to blame the pacers (Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj), when the batsmen failed to do their job. A total of 240 was never going to be enough, especially in a flat track such as the one they had at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. A decent total was somewhere between 260 and 280, and a winnable total was more like 280 to 300. Australia won the toss and that proved to be very crucial. Indians were a bit overconfident, and that was evident in the manner which Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill batted.
Yes I am Fully agree with your comments. In a match basically if a team cannot score enough runs to fight then there is nothing for the bowlers to do. Yes it is true that the bowlers were enough to defend 240 runs but if the opponent is Australia then it becomes very difficult. If India had set a target of 240 runs with Bangladesh or Sri Lanka, there is a chance to defend. In fact, the target of 240 runs was India's weak spot that day. However, nothing can be said to prepare India well for the upcoming 2027 World Cup.

Anyway the unfortunate dismissal of Virat Kohli really change entire things for india because when he lose his wickets entire Indian team lose his confidence and Thier body language indicate that they already lose match before it actually come to end.
Australia winning the toss was crucial and the Australian fielding was really impressive and they were determined to win at any cost with the dedication they showed in the field while the Indian fielders were not that good and leaking runs, just look at the number of runs India gave in the form of extras and it was a turning track aiding the spinners and Ashwin who is one of the best spinners was not in the team.

I think even if India had scored 300+ runs it would not have been too difficult for Australia to win the match. Because they went on the field without the preparation that Australia will win the 2023 World Cup, where the Australian captain said they have the experience of how to play the World Cup. Although 300 plus runs would have been difficult for Australia to win but India could not make it.
I totally disagree with your statement because if India scored 300 plus then it will be like impossible for any team to chased such high target under pressure of final and some magnificent bowling of you opponent trio, no doubt Australian has good history in ICC ODI World Cup and they always done decent in last stages of World Cup but they way indian bowling get rythm through out the tournament and performing majestic performance will make really difficult for Australian to cross such high target on thier home ground. Anyway the unfortunate dismissal of Virat Kohli really change entire things for india because when he lose his wickets entire Indian team lose his confidence and Thier body language indicate that they already lose match before it actually come to end.

This exactly. Kohli's is like knot that holds the team together, I have seen someone argue here before that Kohli's SR was low and he was playing for personal milestones, I consider it incorrect, had Kohli been on crease for long while in finale we could have seen India easily score 300+ runs, and Rahul would not have played under pressure as he did.

@Bitcoin_people I don't think Australia would have been able to chase has score been 300+, India's bowling is destructive, with low score bowlers were under pressure too and it took away their freedom, we already saw Shami replacing Siraj.

There were no slip for spinners either (they were there momentarily then removed soon after), had they been there India could have gotten Travis Head early (two catches were in vain due to not having slips), then even this target would have been difficult chase for Aussies.

But your World best batsman never scored his century in the World Cup final, eventhough he had completed 50th century in the World Cup.His team India had not win the trophy and not lift the trophy. So personally think he only playing the individual game and never completed his century to contribute for his team when the team need his performance. This was criticism was made on Kohli by his haters, personally I had good opinion on Kohli. But his performance in the final made me to join the haters list.Because Kohli should understand what the cricket is by this big lesson. If he score alone for individual,he can play for the club and IPL .It's no use to score many hundreds,if he fail to score and make the chance the difference in the match.Australia was the true sports man to lift the World Cup,it was their six time trophy for them.

As this is a game of cricket in which anything can happen, if all the other batsmen didn't scores who says against them, no one because they always didn't make scores and the Kohli who always made scores but in this World Cup may be he didn't have good time he didn't made so it doesn't matter, BTW he was the Player of the Tournament and that rewards still goes to him.

Although if someone's is not accepting that he is the World best batsmen I didn't even care because Virat Kohli is not giving me money for that to support him haha  Cheesy. So, this is a part of game just chill pill.

Australia is a team that lost two consecutive matches in this World Cup but eventually won the World Cup. India was undefeated but India went from being such favorites in the final to losing the World Cup due to a batting disaster. No one in the cricket world could have predicted that the Indian audience would end up in such a frenzy in the joyous atmosphere.

Virat Kohli is still the World Best Batsman but I don't know why the Indian Media is criticizing him even he had made more runs in this World Cup. Although the Indian Team played well throughout the World Cup but they had made few mistakes in the Final Match as it also includes a catch drop from their fielders. Which puts them behind the Trophy and the Trophy of World Cup 2023 has won by Australia.

Still David Warner didn't made more runs in the Final Although its partner Trivas Head made the runs which were required for winning the match and a brilliant and smashed innings put them to a win against India in the Final. As saddened for most of the team as most of the cricketers retired in this world cup and they will not play the international cricket.

Indian bowlers played well throughout but there is a problem with the batting of Australia, as we have seen them how amazingly their reached it and how brilliantly they were fulfilled their dream of winning the World Cup. First thing is that India was good in both bowling and batting till the end of the World Cup but in the Final they were looking completely different. Nor their openers provide them a good start then the middle orders wickets were just falling and falling.

These all things matters, this was the plus point for Australia that there opener batsmen Head made runs for them, on the other side Indian openers didn't made the runs which were expected from them. Another thing is the middle order of Australia performed well while the Indian batters who come at middle order didn't perform well that's why they lost the final.

If we remember the final of the Asia Cup, we can see there that India bowled out Sri Lanka by 60 runs in the final match. But who knew that his streak would happen in the 2023 World Cup final with India vs Australia. By winning the Asia Cup, the confidence of the Indian team increased many times. India has won ten consecutive matches with power. But in the final match, the Indian team was bowled out for just 240 runs. If Shubman Gill had not been out, Australia would have been able to target around 300 runs in the final match. Australia bowled brilliantly in the final match. Australia's fielding was amazing. If we watch the game carefully, many players have done great fielding. Australia team has saved around 40 runs by fielding. The Australian team tasted its sixth championship thanks to their excellent bowling and batting.

Australia fielding was more improved then all previous matches. In the round matches Australia drops so many catches. You said only saving runs and didn't talk about ROHIT SHARMA catches taken by Travis Head. This catch was very difficult and from here I think match direction changes. ROHIT SHARMA was looking very dangerous. He was in extreme aggressive form. If he had play full powerplay then 300 runs is expected. BTW both team played well and no player should be blamed for India lost. Many team didn't even reached to qualifing round.
India played way well winning all 10 matches expect the most important final of worl cup. I think its a bad day for indian cricket and for Rohit Sharma and Virat kholi also beacuse they played almost their last world cup. I feel sad for Rohit Sharma he played very aggressively scored fast 47 runs in just 31 balls and unfortunately miss his half century by 3 runs short. Australia fielding and captaincy was amazing they played relly well in final especially travis head what a player he it such a match winner on big day for Australia.
They play aggressive cricket in the final match. Generally what we see with Indian batsmen is that they gradually increase their scores. At first they try to settle in the field and later they roar. But the opposite is seen in Final match. After falling few wickets the batsmen tried but they could not hold on their wickets. Luck did not favor them either, the top order batsmen were not good either. After winning 10 matches in a row, when you have to lose in the final, the depression will be high for everyone. At the end of the match we saw how bad the Indian batsmen felt.
