Starc and Hazlewood just destroyed the top order batting lineup of South Africa, 44/4 in 14 overs. I don't understand whats the benefit of playing so well at group stages if you have to do this in Semis? South Africa only hope is rain which has stopped the play right now. But looking at batting inning performance of South Africa squad in this match was very bad, if they perform in the batting inning as they did in previously, they definitely won this second semi final match from Australia squad. They made low quality defending target of just 212 scores and then there whole squad was wiped out on the crease. At present time, Australia squad need 20 scores from 64 balls with 4 wickets. Today, Australian squad will win with a great margin and South Africa squad will suffer a very disappointing loss which was not expected at all.

South Africa! Damn! I feel that they will never get rid of their chokers tag in big ICC tournaments sadly. Even Afghanistan put up a better fight in comparison which goes to show why the chokers tag suits them perfectly.
Never understood why Bavuma was in the team and why the heck was he chosen as the captain. I applaud Miller for his amazing performance under such insane pressure. Looks like it's India vs Australia yet again in the final.

Bavuma, as the sole captain, has to accept responsibility for South Africa's poor performance in today's match. South Africa were under a lot of pressure early on with his wicket going. If David Miller had not played an innings of 101 runs, it is doubtful whether South Africa's total would have been 100 at all. However, Bavuma may not be seen as captain after the World Cup.

The game isn't over yet and South African spin bowlers may do some magic for them. Both set batsmen Travis Head and David Warner are out and now is the only way that South Africa can pull back in this match is to keep on talking wickets and bowl them all out before they make 212 runs.
They just cannot restrict the Australian team because the required run rate is only less than 3 runs per over. Pretty easy for the Aussies to win this match if they can bat out the full 50 overs, even this target can be achieved with 35 overs or so.

I was not expecting that South Africa will perform like this they really disappointed. David Miller was good in this match who made century. He was pulling the runs but others players were not standing on pitch.
