If India had not batted first, they might not have been able to put up such a big score. And today batting in the first innings scored 397 runs for the loss of 4 wickets which I think is one of the biggest scores. Moreover, in Indian team Virat Kohli has batted brilliantly in every match and scored centuries and in today's match too he batted brilliantly and scored 117 runs. When the World Cup started, i was really critically about the spot Shreyas Iyer have in the team and when he did not perform during the initial few matches, i would like to see him gone from the team but then changed his performance completely and the way he is scoring runs is mind boggling and that too consistent and he will reach another century.

The point is that every batsman and player is coming out and playing their best cricket. This time all the Indian players are in superb form and if any player does not perform well, he may be at the risk of being removed from the team.
This healthy competition by the Indian team is doing all sorts of wonders for their team and this Indian team seems unstoppable at the moment.

India ended up scoring 397 runs and that is a big big score when you see that these runs are scored in the context of the semi finals. I do not know how New Zealand will chase this big score. They will have no room to play slow or lose wickets, they need to go for big hitting right from the beginning and there will be no stoppage to it.
