In the Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka team match, Sri Lanka batted first and the run target was easily exceeded by the Bangladesh team. The Bangladesh team did well in the bowling line for which the Sri Lanka team was under a lot of pressure. Did not perform well. Najmul Hossain Shanto of Bangladesh team scored 90 runs from 101 balls. Shakib Al Hasan scored 82 runs from 65 balls. Bangladesh team did very well in bowling and batting.

Today's Afghanistan vs Australia match is going to be very interesting. If Afghanistan can win this one somehow, then they are almost confirmed of a semi-final spot. And worse, there is a good chance that Australia may not qualify for the semis. So this match is like do-or-die for the Australians. Australia is in good form BTW. First of all I didn't expect this victory from Bangladesh. I thought Bangladesh would lose this match like the last six matches but the matter changed completely today with a big run partnership of Shanto and Shakib.
You are right, I also did not believe that Bangladesh will win. 2 wickets fell in 3rd and 7th overs, I thought Bangladesh might lose in the end so I stopped watching the game. Shakib and Nazmul Hossain both performed brilliantly as a result of which Bangladesh won in the end. But Bangladesh lost 5 wickets from 32 overs to 41 overs which was completely disappointing, I think if Shakib and Nazmul Shanto could not have made a big run partnership then it would have been difficult for Bangladesh to win. Do you think Bangladesh could have won if Shakib Nazmul didn't do well? However, Bangladesh lost 6 matches in a row and finally got victory. I feel very happy as a Bangladeshi supporter. Bangladesh batsmen played the match with full confidence. Bangladesh's two batsmen, Shakib and Shantu , faced the Sri Lanka bowlers with vigor and did not let anyone down.Bangladesh faced the Sri Lankan bowlers in today match, if they had not faced their bowlers.Today would have lost the match.If the rest of the players of Bangladesh had played carefully, these wickets would not have been given.Shakib and Shantu supported each other and scored 169 runs and won everyone's heart.Shakib and Santu were two such batsmen who have scored 169 runs together in the match of today if both of them had got out earlier, they would not have scored so many runs.
Both teams tried well to win the match. If you see the Srilanka stats so you saw that Srilanka made only 279 runs in 50 overs and lost 9 wickets. But Bangladesh team played decently. They just cover the whole score in 41 overs and lost only 7 wickets. Shakib Al Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto both pull the runs to the winning line. Shakib Al Hasan is also the player of the match. He made 82 runs and Najmul Hossain Shanto 90 runs. Congratulations to Bangladesh team.

Bangladesh played really well and I think that kind of performance the fans want form Bangladesh from start of this ICC competition but unfortunately Bangladesh performance were not up to the mark and that why they really disappoint this supporter. Anyway they done a good job tonight so we should appreciate them because everyone taught that sirilanka has strong balance team which has ability to got victory but Bangladesh captain and shanto phenomenal performance help Bangladesh to come out of this difficult situation later tale under batter played little bit aggressive innings and thus they won the important match.Shakib and Shanto batted with a lot of confidence in today's match. The performance of these two batsmen really impressed me today. Both the batsmen batted very responsibly after losing the two openers in quick succession. And they were able to build a huge partnership of 169 runs. And because of this huge partnership, the Bangladesh team won. However, the performance of Bangladesh's middle-order players was poor. Bangladesh would not have lost 7 wickets if the middle-order players of Bangladesh could bat with more responsibility.
Taskin did not get a wicket today but he bowled brilliantly. On the other hand, Tanzid Shakib got 3 wickets but he gave 80 runs in 10 overs. The performance of the bowlers was quite controlled by Bangladesh today.

The Bangladesh team will be under a lot of pressure today because if they cannot occupy the 8th position in the points table, they will not be able to earn the right to play the championship later.
Both team has played thier the best cricket but at the end one has to win while the other has to lose, so I will not say that Mathews wicket really damage sirilankan team but they has scored a decent target, but their bowling were a bit off colour because if they get any of these two batter shanto and shakib wicket before they build a big partnership then may be sirilanka get thier track to the victory but unfortunately they were unable to done it and that's why they lose their grip and got defeated.Tomorrow we have a tough fight between Australia and Afghanistan, I am early sure that Australia will be the winner but if Afghanistan does some magic then they will be surely very favourite for semifinals.

Mathews had to get out while changing the helmet, although it took a long time to change the helmet, that's why Shakib Al Hasan appealed to the umpire for which the umpire gave him out.
You are part of the minority defending Shakib here since the majority including me felt that Angelo clearly had issues with his helmet due to which he shouldn't have been given out in such a messed up manner.Only a fool would defend petty Al Hasan here since he himself has been involved in plenty of controversies over time.

Yes these are now filling the formality. Means they are just fulfilling the schedule requirements otherwise both teams have disqualified.
Yeh it's true that they are disqualified from current ODI world Cup but they are making thier position more good for upcoming ICC Champions trophy host by paksitan in 2025. Shakib has the history of creating controversy in the cricket matches before. It was a very bad move from him today. Even Mathews tried to convince Shakib about the situation, but he denied to reverse the appeal. Anyway, Bangladesh has won the match by creating an uncomfortable situation. Most of the supporter doesn't want to see the victory in such way.
First of all I didn't expect this victory from Bangladesh. I thought Bangladesh would lose this match like the last six matches but the matter changed completely today with a big run partnership of Shanto and Shakib. Although Shakib Al Hasan has done a good performance today but I don't have good feeling for him. This is maybe for those controversy who created already not only today story he make the controversy before starting the ICC world cup with his teammate.Today I really didn't like this attitude of Shakib, I saw that Angelo Mathew went to explain to Shakib even after that Shakib remained on his hard line. However, Angelo Mathew responded by taking Shakib's wicket and stop him from scoring a century.

Although they win their match against in the 42th over and they played good cricket. Also, the Sri Lankan team tried hard for winning the game but they were not fair enough runs to stop Bangladesh. Bangladeshi player's Shakib Ul Hasan didn't prove the true man spirit in the cricket, as you said it is not only his first time, he mostly did it in the previous matches as well.
Although good cricket we have seen also from the Sri Lankan Team, even they failed to defend the target but we have seen their hard work to the cricket field. Charith Asalanka played a good innings of 108 runs in 105 balls which puts the Sri Lankan team to give Bangladesh a target of 280. Unfortunately the target on the pitch they were playing 280 was not that much.

I think Bangladesh should have batted themselves after winning the toss, because their batsmen are not in good form, due to which their batsmen will come under pressure if the opposition team gives a big target. The current target may also prove difficult for Bangladesh. Hasan Sakib has taken three wickets but he has also been beaten a lot, he has given 80 runs in 10 overs.
Sri Lanka couldn't form a big partnership otherwise the score could have crossed 300.Now the onus is on the Sri Lankan batsmen that they will be able to defend this target or not. On the other hand, if the Bangladeshi batsmen provide a good start for their team in the beginning, the fans can surely get to see a good match. I think Bangladesh have won only one match so far and have only two points on the points table and even after winning this match they will not be able to progress in the tournament. Therefore, the win or loss of this match will not bring any benefit or loss to either team.

Shakib Al Hasan is player of the match for his all round performance picking 2 important wicktes and scored 82 runs in 65 balls, unfortunately miss his well deserved hundred by 18 run short. Bangladesh chase down the target 282 runs in loss of 7 wickets in 41.1 overs. Najmul Hossain Shanto also batting well score 90 runs in 101 and miss his century by 10 runs short. Srilanka bowling performance is not good they didn't pick ealry wickets after openior got out, Dilshan Madushanka picked 3 wickets but giving 69 runs in 10 over and Angelo Mathews also picked 2 Crusial wickets by giving only 35 rins in 7.1 but failed to defend 280 runs total.
The two batsmen Shakib Al Hasan and Nazmul Hossain Shanto put together a huge partnership of 159 runs for Bangladesh and there Bangladesh found a way to win the match. Bangladesh won this match but sadly Shakib Al Hasan and Nazmul Hussain came very close to scoring centuries but missed the century. From the way Shakib and Shanto left the game, Bangladesh was not supposed to win by 3 wickets but Bangladesh by six wickets. In the end, Bangladesh lost three wickets by a few runs. When the seventh wicket fell, it looked like Bangladesh might slip into the match but both batsmen finished well in the end. Due to being slightly ahead in terms of net run rate, Bangladesh is now the seventh team in the points table.
