We could say lack of experience too, because more often that not we are overconfident just because of our lack of experience.
Shahidi sent Mujeeb to do over where Maxwell ended the innings, he was already expensive, meanwhile Naveen-ul-haq had one over left and done better, got two wickets already, why was he not sent? There were no point to hold him for next overs becuase it was already do or die.
Those dropped catches count too, they must be regretting it immensely, such a waste of easy win, that too over team like Aussies, great morale boost it could have given them.
Their coach Jonathan Trott only showed emotions during last moments of game when Maxwell was becoming trouble, otherwise most of inning he was like blank face lol.

Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad had completed their quota. Mohammad Nabi and Azmatullah Omarzai were expensive (and still Omarzai would have bowled at least one more over). So at this point, I don't really want to blame the Afghan captain. It was a good opportunity for them to enter the semi-finals, but they made a mess of it. Still there is a chance, in case they can win against South Africa.

I am not sure whether it is lack of experience or overconfidence. From what I have seen, this is not the first instance where Afghanistan lost a match, that was firmly in their grasp. Australia was down to 91/7, with Maxwell and Cummins at the crease. Maxwell wasn't able to walk so he was restricted to hitting boundaries. The required run rate was well over 6 per over. At this moment, how hard it is to defend a total of 291? All the effort put in by the Afghan batsmen (especially Ibrahim Zadran and Rashid Khan) was wasted by the pathetic performance form their bowlers.

Australian 5 players got out very early in this match but when the Glenn Maxwell came to the crease, there was raining of sixes all over the ground and every bowlers he smashes down the ground. He hits out 10 sixes, what a batsman he is , never seen such of his batting as he was really smashing today. Although the first batting by Afghanistan was quite good, they also give them a better target according to their team, but when the Afghanistan got first 5 wickets they though that they win the game. But this is cricket any thing and anywhere can happen.
Finally good luck to the better team Australia as they work hard and win the match by 3 wickets with having some balls remaining as well. See them in the coming matches with more speed batters.
@TakeItEasy when I had started watching the match they needed 121 runs and then I saw that Maxwell was on the crease and I said to myself if this guy sticks around for a while Australia would win and then he turned the heat on and won them the game. Lastly I’m not surprised to see Australia win because of their experience and winning mentality both which Afghanistan player’s will develop over a period of time.

Credit should go to Cummins as well, he held his wicket so well, without him despite Maxwell being there nothing could have been done. It was wonderous to watch Maxwell last night, how his shots either find the gap and go for four or for a six.

Phenomenal performance from team Australia they played thier wao cricket and to be honest they were on fire, we have rarely seen such kind of performance from player at such pressure situation where they lose thier important player already and everyone expect that now nothing can help them out of such trouble situation and out of no where Maxwell come Maxwell hits and Maxwell win 
. I think now Maxwell will be a horrible dream for Afghanistan team because personally I believe too after dismissal of stoinis that Australia are out now they can't because a single handed player can't score double century but Maxwell broke most of records and make a phenomenal victory
Exactly that was an excellent win. Maxwell is Maxwell. When Australia lost 7 wickets. I left and was sure that Australia will lose this match. But when I came back. And saw the stats of the match Australia just surprised me and when I saw the Maxwell score I was smiling how he is managing with injured leg. He didn't leave pitch due to his leg. He just played and made 201 runs and just because of him Australia won the match. . I think now Maxwell will be a horrible dream for Afghanistan team because personally I believe too after dismissal of stoinis that Australia are out now they can't because a single handed player can't score double century but Maxwell broke most of records and make a phenomenal victory

The second match of the Bangladesh Women vs Pakistan Women ODI series has started. Bangladesh Women have won the T20I series, but have performed very poorly in the ODI series, losing the first match as well. Bangladesh women's team could not play relatively well at home.
Paksitani women team performance is really bad from recent time they lost most of thier bilateral series and recent bad performance in Asian cup really push thier Moral and confidence down which has really bad impact on thier performance. But now in series against Bangladesh they played sensibly and shown some good results at first match but now during second match they played well by chased required target but due to lack of significant partnership they lose a grip on match and that why they just level the required target on last ball while during super over they unable to match the required target that's why they lose second match and tie the series by 1-1 now last and Third match will be deciding I am sure paksitan will took his Asian game revenge from them. What an excellent match. I really appreciate Glenn Maxwell who just pull his team to the victory line and cross the line and won the match. What a massive score he made 201 runs. I was thinking that Australia just lost the match because they lost 7 wickets under 100 runs. All the credit goes to Glenn Maxwell. I really enjoyed this match. Congratulations to Australia.

I think today's match was the best match in the history of cricket in which Maxwell played a brilliant innings to take his team to the semi finals. I think Maxwell has not won the match but has taken away the match from Afghanistan. I have rarely seen such matches in my life, but today's match was the best match of my life, in which one player turned the dice of the whole match. I don't think anyone would have believed that Australia had won the match even though at one point Australia's chances were slim after 7 wickets fell for 91 runs.
Maxwell remained at the crease despite a leg injury, He had trouble playing short but he still stood up. Playing an innings of 201 runs off 128 balls is an extraordinary performance. For cricket fans, today's match was in my opinion the best match of all World Cup matches, and this innings will be the memorable innings of Maxwell's life, but this innings will be written in golden words in the history of Australian cricket.

Australia after losing the first two matches in this world cup returned back strongly and won the remaining of their matches. On the other hand, the Afghanistan defeat hurt them badly and their chances of moving ahead in this tournaments becomes even more dull.

In today's Afghanistan vs Australia match, Afghanistan scored 291 runs in the first innings with the loss of 5 wickets. Not only did Afghanistan's batsman Ibrahim Zadran not collect a lot of good hits, but later took the game. Ibrahim Zadran's batting performance was outstanding as he single-handedly scored 129 runs for the team off 143 balls, and ended the game unbeaten. If another batsman could have caught the game the way he batted and scored a century, it might have been 300 plus runs. However, today's match is for Afghanistan whose chances are low but if they can put Australia under pressure in the second innings then it is definitely possible. I think Afghanistan will not be able to beat a strong team like Australia so easily.
Yeh Afghanistan played really well unexpectedly because I believe that they will be really collapse just like they have history against a strong team but they really shocked viewers because the momentum they carry on in previous matches still ongoing and which help them to gain confidence and play fear less cricket no problem how quality bowler bowl and how good he bowl. I really enjoyed the young talent Ibrahim zadran batting he is just a pure class in really young age. Anyway they are 60 to 80 runs shorter because pitch are not spin friendly and that the worrying moments for them while target defending because it's thier main strength to push opponent team off trackAt one time, it looked Afghanistan will win this match easily as Australia were 91 for 7 wickets down and it seems that Afghanistan bowlers will take them down easily but not to be. Glenn Maxwell played an unbeatable innings of 201 runs in only 128 balls and due to this brilliant and responsible knock, the Australian team were able to win this match.
Although Afghanistan bowlers took 7 quick wickets but then Glenn Maxwell stood between the Afghanistan win and he made sure that his team Australia win this one and it was a great innings of responsibility.

I believe that at this point it will be better if Adam Zampa comes to bat instead of Maxwell. That said, I don't know whether he will be allowed to bat again if he retire. Cummins has so far scored 11 runs from 66 balls. This is going to be one of the slowest innings in the history of ODI cricket. 43 runs are needed from 40 balls now. Afghanistan still at an advantage, I would say.

Phenomenal performance from Glenn Maxwell! I had stopped watching the match when Australia lost their 6th wickets. But I was surprised when I checked the scorecard after an hour. Maxwell was near two hundred and fighting alone for the victory. Eventually, he has scored double hundreds and contributed alone for the victory. Now Australia has ensured their position for the semifinals.

Maxwell played a superb innings so far, which keeping Australia in the match even after losing 7 wickets.
Australia needs 96 more runs to reach their target. If they manage to chase down the total today, it could become the best match of the tournament.
Australia done really good job they comback from no where when thier fans lose thier expectations at that time Maxwell come at which were really lucky to get two catch drop opportunity and scored one of his best innings when team really need such performance from middle and lower order, now they need 47 runs on 48 balls while still Maxwell is on crease along site with captain partner cummin. Now we can say that if Maxwell stay a bit long they definitely they will grab one of best victory from Afghanistan at really crutical situation. Maxwell feel high pain in lower back and different parts cramps but still he didn't lose his hope and still ongoing until won this game Australia needs 96 more runs to reach their target.
