In today's Afghanistan vs Australia match, Afghanistan scored 291 runs in the first innings with the loss of 5 wickets. Not only did Afghanistan's batsman Ibrahim Zadran not collect a lot of good hits, but later took the game. Ibrahim Zadran's batting performance was outstanding as he single-handedly scored 129 runs for the team off 143 balls, and ended the game unbeaten. If another batsman could have caught the game the way he batted and scored a century, it might have been 300 plus runs. However, today's match is for Afghanistan whose chances are low but if they can put Australia under pressure in the second innings then it is definitely possible. I think Afghanistan will not be able to beat a strong team like Australia so easily but it can be possible if Afghanistan perform well. And currently Australia is very strong and in a good position in ICC World Cup if they win today's match then they will qualify for World Cup.

A descent of 292 runs provided a target for the Afghanistan team. It is a good enough target considering the pitch. Afghanistan have a slim chance of winning if the bowlers do well. Afghanistan batted well in the last 10 overs. They collected 97 runs in these 10 overs. Rashid Khan's innings of 35 off 18 balls was much needed. Ibrahim Zadran was also unbeaten on 129 runs. Mitchell Starc bowled very badly today. He gave 70 runs in 9 overs. Spinners have the potential to do well on this pitch. Looking forward to see the bowling of Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan. If these two bowlers can bowl controlled, the Australian batsmen will be under pressure.

This is getting really ugly. Mathews went to Twitter to post a video, which shows him arriving at the crease within 110 seconds after the dismissal. But then, he complains about the helmet and ask for a replacement. This is when Shakib made the appeal and got him out. I am a bit confused on whether technically he is out or not. But from a sportsman perspective, I would rather side with Mathews. Shakib should have warned him first rather than appealing against him. What is the point in winning matches like this?

Oh Really, So I think players should not go for the third umpire reviews and rather ask the opposition players that please be warned, next time we will take the DRS but this time out of sportsman spirit, you may continue playing.

Both teams are playing for a win and they won't leave any legitimate opportunity that may take them to the winning position.

And finally, if you think that Sri Lankan players have more sportsmen spirit, then Mathews wouldn't have taken this battle to social media? Isn't it against the sportsman spirit?

I don't understand do you think cricket is a place to show humanity? The match was very important for Bangladesh. Why would they miss the opportunity? If you don't follow the rules, it's your problem. Why would someone else show humanity to you? Shakib appealed, and the umpire ruled out. Being a professional player should follow our rules. ICC has created this huge rules book. What is the need to make rules if the players do not understand the rules to see the greatness? I fully support Shakib's work. Professional players must be well aware of the rules and follow the rules.
He is not talking about humanity, he is talking about sportsman spirit. Although it is in the rules, just like Mankad, but it is disgraceful to this beautiful game of cricket. Everyone is free to give their opinion on the matter, but I think every player should respect the sportsman spirit. In the series between Bangladesh and New Zealand, Litton Das called back Ish Sodhi after he was Mankad by Hassan. Shakib is a senior player and should set up a good example. That is all we are saying.

I would say if this is disrespectful to cricket then why is ICC not changing this rule? As ICC rules we have to follow it. Now parties may apply to change the rules. Mankad too everyone says it's disrespectful, it shouldn't be done. But has any cricket board or player appealed to ICC to stop it? As far as I know, he did not. We accept these rules. It's part of the game. But after getting out we feel it is disrespectful to cricket. ICC should amend such controversial rules, if not, then normalize it.

Afghanistan current score is 212 runs in loss of 4 wickets in 43th Overs. Ibrahim Zadran is playing outstanding scored 98 runs unbeaten in 127 bhalls, just needed 2 run to make a well deserved century. Rahmit shah is out after scored 30 runs in 44 balls and Hashmatullah Shahidi captain of Afghanistan team is score onky 26 runs in 43 balls. Australia bowling performance is good Mitchell start picked 1 important wicktes by giving 45 runs in 7 over and Adam Zampa also picked 1 wickets by giving 47 runs in 9 overs. Afghanistan is looking to scored 270 plus runs target for Australia. But a scored of under 300 runs Australia have ability to chase down early.

Afghanistan collected 227 runs in 45 overs. It cannot be called a bad collection. If Afghanistan can somehow manage to score 50 runs in the last 5 overs, and set a target of around 280, Afghanistan's bowlers will have the potential to do well in the match. I have checked the pitch report. It is very difficult to score runs in the second innings on this pitch. Also, Afghanistan's bowlers are in a good rhythm now. They have bowled very controlled in the last few matches. And so even if the Australian team is in form, it will not be easy for them to win this match today. Afghanistan players will fight hard to win.

Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat first. It looks like a good batting surface, and a score of over 300 will be a par score for Afghanistan, as they have a very good spin-bowling attack. Afghanistan's strategy to go with 4 spinners on a flat wicket is interesting. I think it will backfire big time. Will they miss their pace bowlers in the powerplay and death overs? Is a big question.
The first powerplay will decide the pace of the match; if Australia get 2 or 3 wickets in the first powerplay, Afghanistan will look for a compatible score of around 250+.
Afghanistan bat first is good decision after winning the toss. Afghanistan current score is 96 runs in loss of 1 wickets in 19 overs. Ibrahim Zadran is playing outstanding made fifty his scored is 55 runs in 54 balls and Rahmat Shah is playing on 16 runs in 26 balls. This is very important partnership of Afghanistan between Ibrahim Zadran and Rehmat Shah. Afghanistan is playing very good  just lost only 1 wicket of Gurbaz. Rahmanullah Gurbaz is only scored 21 runs in 35 balls and get out by josh hazlewood. Australia bowling performance is not too good only fast bowlers josh Hazlewood picked 1 wicket by giving 16 runs in 4 overs. Afghanistan will looking to cross 260 plus runs.

Afghanistan have lost only one wicket but their run rate is very low. Afghanistan collected 117/1 in 24 overs. He is batting very slow despite not losing a wicket. Rahmat Shah's strike rate is 68 and Ibrahim Zadran's strike rate is 80. And Afghanistan are scoring less than 5 runs per over. And if this continues, the Afghanistan team can collect a maximum of 280. Australia scored 286 runs against England in their valiant match. But in the previous three matches, Australia scored 388, 399 and 367 runs respectively. It is easy to understand that the batsmen are in very good rhythm. So with a low target Afghanistan have no chance of winning this match unless they are very lucky.

This is the first time in the history of cricket that a cricketer has been dismissed for such a time out. Angelo Mathews should have faced two or three balls and then changed his helmet but he didn't. Moreover Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan should not have appealed. However, I have no complaints about this dismissal as it is the first time cricket has experienced the fall of such a wicket.
By the way, why the Bangladesh captain should not ask for it, if it is the rule? Does it ever happen that the umpire gives out and the third umpire overrules the decision, and the team players say that they do not want the out and let the opposing player keep playing? You get a wicket on a No ball, and the batsmen say that I am out and I forgive that it was a No ball. Cricket is a game played with rules and rules should be followed.

Rules are rules and it is the right of every captain to ask the umpire of a certain rule due to which the decision can be turned in their favor.
I have been watching cricket for so long but didn't know about this rule. I am sure this is the first time many cricketing fans come to know that these rules also exist in international cricket.

I agree with you. Cricket is a game and ICC has a very large rule book. And in every field of cricket players have to stay within the rules. It is not possible to manage the game by going outside the rules. There is nothing grandiose about it. And this is no place to be grandiose. Every team plays to win. So just why they go to see the greatness? Everyone here is a professional player.

Mathews was supposed to change his helmet after informing the umpire or the opposition captain. Then maybe Shakib would not have applied for out. But firstly Mathews broke the rules by starting batting late, secondly, he didn't get permission from anyone. So naturally the umpire gave out as per the rules after Shakib appealed. It should be taken naturally. An experienced player like Mathews should have been aware of the rules.

Afghanistan's top order is batting very responsibly. Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz was dismissed for 21 runs. After losing the first wicket for 38 runs, the team has not lost any wicket till now. After 20 overs, Afghanistan collected 99 runs. Ibrahim Zadran remained unbeaten with 56 runs and Rahmat Shah 17 runs. Since Afghanistan have lost only one wicket so far, it can be said that they are batting well enough. Batsmen are batting responsibly. However, if Afghanistan gives less than 320 target in today's match, then their chances of victory are low. Australia team is in very good form. It will be difficult to beat Australia with a target of less than 320.

Bangladesh W vs Pakistan W
The second match of the Bangladesh Women vs Pakistan Women ODI series has started. Bangladesh Women have won the T20I series, but have performed very poorly in the ODI series, losing the first match as well. Bangladesh women's team could not play relatively well at home. Bangladesh women were all out for 81 runs in the first match, Pakistan women finally managed to win 5 wickets. Bangladesh Women won the toss and scored 169 runs in today's match. Today if Bangladesh women can bowl well like in the first match then Bangladesh can win. But it is very easy to win by 170 runs but it cannot be said correctly that Pakistan will win because they lost 5 wickets to make 85 runs in the first match. If Pakistan women win today then the series will be won. If Bangladesh Women win the series will be tied 1-1 and the 3rd match will be the final match. Let's see which team can win in the end.

Wrong! Angelo was ahead of the timer and the Lankans had video evidence to prove that. Also, why would anyone want to bat with their helmet messed up? Al Hasan just took advantage of the situation since he is a crappy human being.

As I said, you are part of the small minority defending this idiot while the majority blamed him. Angelo getting his wicket was proper karma.

Well, if it is in the rule books, it's Legal, just like Mankad. We can debate whether it is ethical or not and whether it is against the sportsman spirit or not. I think Shakib should have withdrawn his appeal. Initially, even the umpire also thought that Shakib was joking about the "time-out" rule.
Bangladesh did play well against Sri Lanka apart from that Mathew incident. The partnership between Shakib and Shanto was the deciding factor in this match. Bowling from the Sri Lankan was not up to the mark.

In the Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka team match, Sri Lanka batted first and the run target was easily exceeded by the Bangladesh team. The Bangladesh team did well in the bowling line for which the Sri Lanka team was under a lot of pressure.  Did not perform well. Najmul Hossain Shanto of Bangladesh team scored 90 runs from 101 balls. Shakib Al Hasan scored 82 runs from 65 balls. Bangladesh team did very well in bowling and batting.

These two (Najmul Hossain Shanto and Shakib al Hasan) ensured the win for Bangladesh. At one point, they were at 41/2 (this was when Litton Das got out), and Sri Lanka was having a 70% probability of win as per the predictor. But Shanto and Shakib took over and they slowly rebuilt the innings. 280 is not a small target, not even at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. So all credits to them for the win. And now coming to Sri Lanka, they have only themselves to blame. They got emotionally carried away, after the drama involving Angelo Matthews and Shakib al Hasan.

Bangladesh won match by 3 wickets and 53 balls left in the match against Srilanka. Shakib Al Hasan is player of the match for his all round performance picking 2 important wicktes and scored 82 runs in 65 balls, unfortunately miss his well deserved hundred by 18 run short. Bangladesh chase down the target 282 runs in loss of 7 wickets in 41.1 overs. Najmul Hossain Shanto also batting well score 90 runs in 101 and miss his century by 10 runs short. Srilanka bowling performance is not good they didn't pick ealry wickets after openior got out, Dilshan Madushanka picked 3 wickets but giving 69 runs in 10 over and Angelo Mathews also picked 2 Crusial wickets by giving only 35 rins in 7.1 but failed to defend 280 runs total.
In this match, Shakib lead from the front and done good job which bring second win for them in this world cup even still there is chance they can go down but now with this win some confidence is restored and players will also feel comfortable but incident which happen in this match is also big consequences which can create good controversies in future as well.

Bangladesh's bowlers done good job and not allowed any Sri Lankan to stay at the crease and create problems for them just Asalanka and Samarawickrama were who stay at crease for some time and bring their team at this target which was not enough to give them third win, and their bowlers were also not good enough as they need to have stop things for bringing down Bangladesh Shanto and Shakib change the situation done good job for their win.
