The first ODI between Bangladesh and New Zealand got called off because of rain. Despite the weather interference, we had experienced impressive bowling from the Bangladesh, giving hope for a potential win if rain hadn't disrupted the match. Looking forward to the next game.
It's unfortunate that weather is affecting so many matches lately. Let's hope the rain doesn't dominate the ODI World Cup, and turning it into DLS World Cup.

1st ODI 2023 played between Bangladesh and New Zealand. New Zealand scored 136 runs in lost of 5 wickets in 33.4 Overs. Bangladesh lead this match but unfortunately Rain come and match abandoned. Mustafizur Come back again and picked 3 Wickets Against New Zealand 1st ODI. Will Young batting performance outstanding scored 58 runs with Henry Nichollas who scored 44 runs miss his fifty by 6 runs. Bangladesh bowlers performance brilliant especially Mustafizur Rahman picked up 3 wickets by giving 27 runs in 7 overs and Nasum Ahmed who picked up 2 big wickets by Just giving 21 runs in 8 overs. If Rain doesn't come Bangladesh has very strong chances to win this match beacuse they picked al read top 5 wickets of New Zealand and restricted 136 runs and its difficult for New Zealand to win this match.
Yesterday there was a lot of rain all over Bangladesh. The weather in Bangladesh is not looking good not only yesterday but for a few days. Today's India vs Australia match will be a tiger-to-tiger fight. Both India and Australia are very good teams so they have a 50-50 chance to win & loss. It is very difficult to predict between these two teams. Australia is as strong as India is. However, since the match is going to be held at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, India can perform a bit better at their home ground. But in this match, whichever team bats first, no team can give a target of more than 220 runs. Because both teams have very good batsmen and bowling. So one team has to play very hard to play against another team

Today is the day beginning of the first ODI match between New Zealand vs Bangladesh. Stats says that, New Zealand hasn't defeated Bangladesh in men's ODIs at their home ground for 13 years. Regardless of the opponent's strength, Bangladesh has often managed to come out on top. However, the NZ bowling line-up is quite strong and has the potential to destroy any batting lineup with a strong and short spell.
The New Zealand captain admitted that Bangladesh is a very tough opponent on Bangladesh soil so this series will not be easy for New Zealand at all. Bangladesh captain Liton Das is very optimistic about this series. Tamim Iqbal is returning to the team after a long injury and Mahmudullah or Soumya Sarkar are likely to be in the XI. Shakib Al Hasan has been rested in this series. Basically, new players who have been given a chance in the XI after a long time can be tested through this series and given a place in the World Cup squad.
The decision to field after winning the toss seems to have been correct. Bangladeshi bowlers are bowling great today. Batting of New Zealand batsmen is very slow. They managed to collect only 26 runs in 10 overs. However, New Zealand lost two important wickets. And Mustafizur Rahman took both the wickets. Also Nasum and Shakib's bowling is very controlled. No bowler has given an average of more than 3 runs an over so far.
I think 250 is tough enough from here for New Zealand to score .They have lost another wicket now .Mustafizur Rahman took Nichollas wicket and 29th over end .Isn’t it tough for New Zeland to reach 250 .I thibk Bangladesh are really doing well on bowling to tight New Zealand to score rapidly .As expected the pitch is spinning supported nevertheless soinner fail to pick any wicket .I think New Zeland need speed up and take some quick runs to get good total .I think they have good batting unit and they are really capable to do that .

Going into a big tournament with a couple of wins under your belt does give you some confidence but i think it's about testing the water.
Exactly this is a big tournament. And both teams are good in performance. In this tournament these two teams have two series ODI and T20. So they will play 3 ODI's and 5 T20 matches. At this time this little bit difficult to say who will win because both are good teams. So let's see and enjoy. And I hope Australia will perform well and will win both of the series.

India are resting 4-5 players and would like to test the bench strength and fitness of Iyer etc. Australia on the other hand would love to give some game time as main players like Cummins, Starc, Smith etc were out of the action due to fitness.

Bangladesh team are so strong im their own patches, that's what we have seen in today match. Newzealand batting is not good and they are struggling too much. They lost to England because of poor batting. If thet playing same then I don't think NZ team will reach to semi final.
Bangladesh team played well today and it would be interesting if rain doesn't interrupted match. Nasum Ahmed is key bowlers for Bangladesh team. ICC should now look for atleast one pitch where playing could be possible despite of rain

We saw what Rain Parera did in the Asia Cup, many called it mismanagement (Mainly because of petty politics between 2 specific boards, which was true).
Having said that we are seeing plenty of matches getting washed out due to rain. Eng vs Ire, IndW vs MalW (Asian Games) and Ban vs NZ is the latest casualty, although most of the fixtures are kind of warm-up exercise but let's hope the rain stays away from the WC. Sep is monsoon month so fingers crossed.

The game is very beautiful and it is being held in Bangladesh so if Bangladesh lose their home game it will hurt their honor a lot. Bangladesh is performing very well in bowling. But the game is delayed due to rain. Many of my friends are enjoying the game at the stadium but I am not able to because of busy schedule. The weather of Bangladesh is showing a lot of chances of rain and it is raining a lot all over Bangladesh. Due to which the rain has affected this match too. However, due to the weather conditions today, it seems that this match will not be held today. The next part of this match may be played another day. The match is still ongoing and it seems Bangladesh has a good chance of winning if they can take a few more wickets in next overs.
Yeah. They need to keep taking wickets at regular intervals in order to restrict NZ under 200 which is a losing total. Rahman is the only one who bowled well so far while the NZ batsmen are playing well currently.Expected Williamson to return in this match, but it seems that he is trying hard to be fit before the showpiece event.
The match is looking good, Bangladesh is dominating the match with excellent bowling. The current run rate is below 5 but one big partnership can change the game completely. If Bangladesh wants to win the match then they would need to restrict the New Zealand side under 250 runs. The way they are playing now it looks like they might be able to do that. Mustafizur Rahman has taken 3 wickets and after this over he would be left with only three overs. I think after he completes this spell, NZ would start forming a partnership as he is the only bowler looking good now.

New Zealand is good team with good fielding, batting and bowling. If match completed then New Zealand had more chances to win because their is top class of the World. With 200 runs in 42 overs, it can win the match against Bangladesh.
What makes you think that? New Zealand were clearly struggling a lot since they already lost 5 wickets and their tail can't really bat well. Bangladesh would have probably restricted them under 200 if the match resumed.However, I am not sure if they could win despite the low target thanks to the absence of Shakib from their team.

New Zealand is good team with good fielding, batting and bowling. If match completed then New Zealand had more chances to win because their is top class of the World. With 200 runs in 42 overs, it can win the match against Bangladesh. Their captain strategies are very excellent. This team always give tough time to all big name like Australia, India and England. It lose match due to bad luck in final of World Cup against England. New Zealand team is hard working , in every format they performed well. First ODI is ended without result. Now two matches remain. New Zealand is not in good shape in ODI format now. They won the first match of the ODI format against England. But in the next three matches, the team lost by a big margin. New Zealand batsmen can't bat well against Bangladesh today. Will young and Henry Nicholls played some long innings, but neither batsman played well. New Zealand managed to collect only 136 runs in 33.4 overs, losing 5 wickets. If the match had not been abandoned due to rain, the New Zealand team might have lost this match.

The first ODI match between Bangladesh and New Zealand was abandoned due to all calculations due to excessive rain. Today, Bangladesh was ahead of New Zealand, so the abandonment of this match today must be a bit of a pain for Bangladesh. Rain caused problems a few times
We have experienced a lot of matches being abandoned by rain recently and this has recently ruined some of the matches which could really turned out to be interesting if there had been no rain. Recent Asia Cup matches were also affected by the rain. I hope we do not face such a situation in the World Cup, as it is also being held in the Asia region.
This match could turned out to be a close one if we had the full 50-over match as Bangladesh were really bowling well. Hard luck to them as they could not play the match and the match resulted in a draw.
The next two matches will be at the same venue, Mirpur Bangladesh and I hope we see better weather on September 23 and 26, the match days.

In the Bangladesh vs New Zealand 1st ODI match, New Zealand went into bat in the first innings and they have already lost 5 wickets. But the saddest thing in today's game is that the game is not being managed well due to the rain, the game was brought to 42 overs due to the non-stop rain, but later when they came to bat again, the match was still stopped due to the same rain again. In today's first ODI match, the conditions are very bad for both the teams, mainly due to bad weather the players have to face this situation. No results yet due to rain stoppage but if rain stops play is likely to start. When you see that New Zealand scored only 136 runs in approx. 33 overs with 5 wickets down, you would immediately call it a bad start from the New Zealand team. Remember New Zealand team was the finalist in the Last ODI World Cup and their performance before the start of the World Cup is questionable
Although this match is delayed by rain and we do not know if we could be able to finish this match or not, but believe me, if there was no rain interruption, Bangladesh would have fancied their chances of winning this one.
