Ibrahim Zadran who formed a unique partnership and kept the team momentum even after each dismissal was the mastermind behind their astounding win. His fortitude and leadership played a crucial role in raising the team spirit which finally resulted in their merited victory in the first match of the series.

Choosing to bowl first is good and in the upcoming match the toss will have big role. Rather than Afghanistan it is a must win match for Srilanka. The best performance happened in the previous match, and the same can happen again. The team that have improved much on T20 is now on the track to prove its ability in ODI. In the past the team players used to make mistakes going for big shots even when the score is lower than the remaining number of balls. No doubt sirlanka is a good team in odi format but you cannot underestimate Afghanistan as they have become really good and strong team in last couple of years . They have the capability to beat any strong team as they have done with Pakistan in recent t20 series.
