Micheal Bracewell played an outstanding innings and Newzealand was about to win the match but Micheals wicket took that possibility away . It was a very good match played by both teams as both if them gave their best but India won because of Thakur and Siraj. They took all important wickets at crucial times.
This kind of stuff happens all the time in cricket. Some players heroically try to save their team and almost always end up on the wrong side of the result. I expected India to win even though NZ crept very close to the target.

India should be embarrassed of themselves for almost messing up the game even though they looked like they would win comfortably at one point.
That was one interesting game by India and Newzealand and till last minute you can't tell who will win specially before Micheal Bracewell wicket , after that things got out of Newzealand match .
India balling side has improved alot after T20 world cup . Thakur and Siraj have proved themselves in ODI format.

2nd ODI ICC Championship Match started today at Allan Border Field, Brisbane. In this match Australia Women vs Pakistan Women two teams came to the field to play. Pakistan Women batted first and scored 125 runs in 43 overs.  Few runs I think.Pakistan Women performed poorly in the match.Pakistan Women went all out in this match. Now coming to bat Australia Women scored 61 runs in 10 overs. Now they need only 65 runs to win.
So here in this match Australian women team was looking really strong. Poorly Pakistan's women team didn't stand on the pitch and made only 125 runs. But Australian women team chased the target and won the match. Australian team made 129 runs in 19.2 overs and didn't give any wicket to Pakistan. Now Australia won the series and they are leading with 2-0.
Australia Women started batting well in the match. Australia Women bowled first and took the wickets of all Pakistan Women batsmen. Due to which Pakistan Women could not score many runs. Pakistan Women had a very poor bowling performance. Australia Women dominated the match from the beginning  took the match. Australia Women won the match till the end. I could not fully enjoy the game because of which I was very upset.

Oh, dear. You made my day. I can't stop laughing. I know it's a typo. It should be Hardik, Right?
It was Thakur who managed to get Michael Bracewell's wicket and saved the match for India. Siraj also helped by taking Mitchell Santner's wicket. It was an amazing game for cricket lovers. Congrats Team India.

I think Pakistan women team is too weak to play against big teams like Australia as compared to indian woman team, just like Pakistan man team performance before PSL after PSL we got such a phenomenal talent of Shaheen, Haris , etc. I think same like after Wpsl hope we will got some new potential full young talent Which will make Pakistan woman team more strong to compete with big team . Now let see what happen when will the WPSL will start.

India has lost first four wicket in 37 over with a runs of 234, it's not a good day for king 👑 Kohli unfortunately he didn't score some decent runs, but no woory he will. Now Shubman Gill play a phenomenal inning and score a spectacular century still he is on crease with Hardik pandya, now both 9f them need a long partnership in order to build a strong target of above 300 because still more than 10 overs are remaining where that can easily get them.
Virat Kohli unfortunately got out for just 8 runs today.  Due to which India is under some pressure today.  But Gill is playing very well and he has already scored 147 runs and so far he is playing.  I think India can cross 300 runs with only 8 overs to play.  Because they have scored 269 runs in 42 overs so far. New Zealand is bowling very well due to which India can collect very little 4/6.  And they go ahead with only single runs
Gill played soo cool. he score 208 alone. If Virat Kohli had played well, they would have scored around 400 runs. You expected 300 runs from India but they scored 349 runs.  Their performance was very good towards the end of the game.  They have always proved that India is the king of cricket, and I think India will win today's match.  New Zealand finished the game in 39 overs and they need 119 runs in 11 overs although it is possible to collect this run in 11 overs but I feel confused for New Zealand.
Yes it is true that India have played very well and it is natural to play well at home. All teams can play a little better in their own field. And no one is ever king just by playing well in their own field. You have wrongly said that India is the king of cricket. When you think about it, New Zealand have never played worse than India. New Zealand cricket team also played very well. The New Zealand cricket team almost reached the target set by India. If the New Zealand cricket team could have played a little better, then they could have achieved the target very easily

I liked what I saw from Gill, because despite losing partners at the other end he continued playing solid cricket and definitely deserved his double century. However I feel that team India should be disappointed with the way they allowed New Zealand to step back in this game, because they could have lost this match and this is a very important lesson for them i.e. they should not take things for granted.

They should be extremely happy with whatever they got. At one point, they were struggling at 131/6 after 28.4 overs. This was when Mitchell Santner joined Michael Bracewell at the crease. When Santner departed, they had reached a total of 293/7 in 45.4 overs. So in 17 overs, these two added 162 runs, at a rate of almost 6 runs per over. If Santer had stayed for some more time, then New Zealand would have won the match with a lot of ease. They lost, because after Santner it was the down to the tail and tail-end (Henry Shipley, Lockie Ferguson and Blair Tickner).

Michael Bracewell played so well but was unlucky to get LBW in very last over. It was a close contest and India managed to win this one. 9 Sixes and 19 Four from Shubman Gill and we saw another double century in ODI format. Such matches are bringing back interest in ODIs, when everyone is running after and focusing on T20 format.

He had been given importance as a bowler than a batsman. Even in this match he had bowled 6 overs with an economy of 7.17 runs per over. Now he got an opportunity and he played in a much responsible manner which had made him a tail batsman. Giving chances at the top order will let the team know his ability t perform.

A critical win for India, at the end of 48th over the required runrate was 12 and Hardik Pandya bowled well allowing just 4 runs with Michael Bracewell on the crease. The last over started with a six, but Takur managed to take the wicket and made it a win for India.

Yeah.. Hardick bowled one or two good deliveries and that was it. He conceded 70 runs from his 7 overs and picked up the lone wicket of Lockie Ferguson. The Indian captaincy was baffling. Rohit decided to bowl out both Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj, and it was left to Hardick and Shardul Thakur to bowl the last two overs. It could have gone wrong, but India won the match somehow. And despite the win, the match showcased Rohit's vulnerabilities as a captain. He was clueless when Michael Bracewell unleashed the barrage on the Indian bowlers.

I don't know whether we can term Michael Bracewell as a lower order batsmen. But then, Mitchell Santner and Lockie Ferguson added crucial runs and they are definitely lower order or even tail end batsmen. I have noticed this ever since I started watching cricket. New Zealand lower order and tail end batsmen contribute significantly to their totals. Back then (during the late 90s), it was Dion Nash and Chris Cairns. The only genuine tail end batsmen to play for New Zealand were Shane Bond, Daryl Tuffey and Chris Martin. The last one was the most genuine tail end batsmen I have ever seen, and he only managed to get to double digits once in his entire test career (batting average of 2.36 from 104 innings).

New Zealand have been playing very well so far and the way they have been collecting runs they deserve to win this match, they now need 83 runs from 48 balls which is almost two runs per ball. If they play like this it is possible to collect these runs but I am afraid of their game and confused that they will be able to do it because India is a very smart team so it will be very difficult to play against them.
Michael Bracewell almost took the game away from India single handedly and one hell of an innings and if not for Lord Thakur yorker he could have taken New Zealand to a memorable victory. From 131 for 6 at one point and taking the team closer to the target is one hell of an innings and Mohammed Siraj was crucial by picking wickets at crucial times and i really thought Rohit Sharma messed up by giving the last over to Thakur.
No one was expecting end like this after having 349 runs on board by Indian batting lineup and having 131/6 very quickly after kiwis on crease for the batting what an amazing end extraordinary inning by Michael Bracewell at the end once I was feeling match is ended in favour of New Zealand, but Mohammad Siraj's last over give good breakthrough to India, and they came back into this match but after this all still brave Michael Bracewell was not ready to give up and done amazing stuff in last few overs which make this match one of the most entertaining matches in recent time but still all credit goes to Gill who done impressive double century for the India, and they are able to have target like 350 in this first ODI against New Zealand which is playing without their two stars Southee and Williamson.
If India have taken the match in an easier way, this could've turned to be a loss for India. They well understood the scenario of the match and kept the momentum amidst the scoring from the kiwis. As mentioned, the winning credit goes to Gill, because if he had missed to score then India might've made a target around 250 runs which used to be an easy target for New Zealand considering its performance.

Shubman Gill collected 208 runs from just 149 balls. They batted great. Due to such a remarkable performance, India set a huge target of 350 runs. But I was almost certain that after giving such a huge target, India would not lose. Although the pitch was a batting-friendly pitch. Michael Bracewell's 78-ball 140 saw New Zealand score 337 runs but they could not win. Since Indian players have been able to perform so well in the first match, I think India will win this series.
He was the talk of the town when he led the entire team in terms of score. Which may not have been imagined by many others. However, many could not imagine the level New Zealand reached in yesterday's match. When they scored 131 for 5 I almost assumed that they would definitely lose today's match. But could not expect that they will be able to score 337. If there had been one more wicket in that position, the result of the match could have turned. By the pefromance of both of the team in yesterday's match, it seems that it is not possible to predict who is going to win the series. But if India's top order batsmen can do well then India's chance is high in this series.

Hats off to Michael Bracewell.
At one point it was a dead chase where they were at 131/6 and from there he took a charge and gave his team big hope of winning the match and doing so gave a good scare to the Indian team but Lord Thakur was playing for India lol
Gill is proving his worth in ODI and it seems it's his fav format.
Michael Bracewell had really made the game enjoyable. Shardul Thakur is lucky to get his wicket with the yorker delivery. Bracewell would hit two more sixes in his over if he didn't get out in that ball. I believe Shubman Gill is going to be the next perfect openers for team India. I'm impressed with his batting performance. India should give more focus on their bowling section. They should include Umran or Chahal in the next ODI match. New Zealand is the top team in ODI format now.
This is the second time Michael Bracewell played a blinder when his team was in a tough situation and i have a feeling he's going to enjoy the upcoming WC.

We mortal beings should understand that Lord Thakur works in mysterious ways.

I don’t find any solid reasons now to troll Shardul Thakur lol.

At one point I had a feeling that India would lose the Indian bowlers were struggling to get Bracewell. Thanks to Thakur he was out at 140. India won by just 12 runs all because of good batting by Bracewell. MD Shiraz had another good spell as he got 4 wickets. He has confirmed his berth in the world cup squad after yesterday's performance where he again took 4 wickets. Overall a good chase by the Newzealand team.

I mean yes there were some matches where he choked and for that he was out of the squad, but now yes he is trying his best and finally got the place in the team. If you ask me, I will still choose Umran Malik instead of him, but to be honest Shardul played well in Today’s match. Regarding Gill, he played really impressive knock. For Indians 200 is like a piece of cake. First Ishan, Now Gill. Openers are really enjoying to play long game. I would still prefer left-right combination. Ishan and Rohit can do the job and Gill can fit at Number 4 ?
