India got off to a good start but Indian openers are hardly rotating strikes.

59 runs in 11 overs and just 5 singles, they are only banking on boundaries. Not bad but at the same time they are playing lot of dot balls which is not good practice.

What a fabulous batting by Shubhman Gill. He became the youngest batter to score a double century. If he had also gotten out cheaply like the others then India wouldn't have given a massive target of 349 runs. Another dominating performance by India because of this young batter. Now it's time for the bowlers to get wickets.

Virat Kohli unfortunately got out for just 8 runs today. Due to which India is under some pressure today. But Gill is playing very well and he has already scored 147 runs and so far he is playing. I think India can cross 300 runs with only 8 overs to play. Because they have scored 269 runs in 42 overs so far. New Zealand is bowling very well due to which India can collect very little 4/6. And they go ahead with only single runs

Two top order senior players did not perform as expected in this match. Rohit Sharma gets some runs but Virat Kohli fails. A doubt that was created in the match due to the early loss of a few wickets that is gone at this time. India is now able to build a safe and reliable score. So far India has collected 251 runs in 40 overs losing 5 wickets. Shubman Gill is playing an amazing match today. He is still unbeaten with 135 runs from 114 balls.

Ireland is accelerating in the last few overs. Last 5 overs have seen 46 runs and all the Zimbabwean bowlers are getting the stick. They can't match Jadeja's capabilities in the longer versions. And for captaincy, Rohit Sharma has been quite disappointing IMO. I don't think that India is going to win an ICC trophy under his leadership anytime soon.

We can't be sure about it. The performance against Sri Lanka is different from the performance against New Zealand. It isn't easy to score same as 373 and 390 against New Zealand, because the bowling is simply hard. Just because the batsmen performed good, Indian bowlers were able to do their best without pressure. When there is pressure surely the Indian bowlers will find it hard to take wickets.
