It is actually a little hard to find support for women’s cricket in the Southeast Asia region. Actually, in the whole of Asia, I will say. Especially in those countries where most of the people are Muslim. Muslim countries have a lot of strict rules about women. And Muslim women also like to stay at home and contribute more to the family instead of pursuing their own career.

So, it is not that easy to find women who are genuinely interested in cricket as a profession. Obviously traditional families in this region generally do not let the female child pursue a career in a sport like cricket.

But the popularity of women’s cricket is increasing in this region day by day. Another problem is the women who are actually playing cricket. For these countries, most of them are not taking cricket as a profession. They think of cricket to be their hobby. They should be able to understand the privilege that they are getting and act accordingly.
Here I am agreed with you but still I have to clear few things as you are saying Muslim countries is surely not easy for women's but still many countries specially modest countries are doing good development for the women's sports because they are feeling they can't stop this change, so they have to follow things which are helping for improvement of life and bringing positive changes here in India is also life is never been easy for women's as they are Muslim or non-Muslim but due to propaganda they never expose many issues which never give perfect picture.

In last few years we have good changes in India and mostly happening due to social media, but life in Muslim country is never been easy with many things are going against them specially economical many countries are suffering badly and after these restrictions from western countries are also having the biggest impact on them as well.

I know that it is not easy for women in general in this region. I just wanted to say that in Muslim countries there are saying women should not play these sports because of religious beliefs. And in other countries, people are saying that women should behave traditionally and not get themselves involved into these sports.

No, I respect both ideologies because people can have their opinion and it is absolutely their business how they want to raise their children. And I also support the idea of not giving your children the freedom that they want because at an early age they don’t know any better. But the thing is we have seen a lot of women football players playing with the Hijab on. And football is far more physical compared to cricket. I know it is going to be hard, but what I am trying to say is where there is a will there is a way. Smiley
I agree with you, there are diffident types of barriers in Muslim society. Where women are most hindered. It is not fair to expect much from women from all those places. But slowly women are also becoming aware. As a result, they have been willing enough to participate in the games in accordance with the religious norms in spite of various obstacles. They can also enter the field after wearing hijab. Which is an expression of their strong interest. However, it is natural that Muslim-dominated countries will lag behind as international competitors especially in cricket.
There are certain barriers in Muslim societies on women but they are merely for their protection and benefit,  its not written anywhere that they are not allowed to play cricket or participate in any business activities.  This is barely a mindset of certain people who impose unnecessary restrictions on women and stops them to participate in all walks of life.
As far as cricket is concerned women cricket should be promoted on all levels and they ahold be given more tours and tournaments like men to make them excel . If more and more cricket will be played by women definitely their viewers will increase with time.

Women cricket should be given equal importance as that of the men's cricket. This isn't happening in reality, very few boards have done it in the right way. Most of the Asian cricket boards, particularly Indian board is much focused on money. Now the prime focus is to make money and if the women's IPL turns to be a success, the women cricketing will get importance. If not, they're supposed to be the same as now.
Equal importance for the women's game may not be practical. Because popularity and revenue inflow for the women's game is not at the level of the men's game. But more focus and support from the administrators would be beneficial in the long run. Being a woman myself, I would say that interest in sports among females is not up to the level in men. I strongly suspect that majority of the viewers for the women's games are also men. Among my friend circle, there are very few women who are actually interested in cricket. A few follow sports, but most of them are in to tennis and badminton.

First of all, men and women are not equal. So the point of giving men’s cricket the same importance as women’s cricket is just absolutely dumb. I think we all can understand that women’s cricket is never going to be as popular as men’s cricket. At least not as long as the women cricketers keep their clothes on. And this is not me being misogynist, this is just me spitting facts. And the point that you said about women’s cricket, not having good enough women fans is the one I agree with because a woman in her 20s is going to want to explore the world, and a woman in her 30s is going to want to stay home and look after her family. So, it will be very hard for women’s cricket to actually get women's fans.

When you walk into any school in Asia do you see the girls playing cricket like the boys do. On the street do you see girls playing cricket like the boys do? No, probably in the subcontinent parents do not encourage girls to play cricket due to the stigma that it is a boys only game.

I am not sure about other countries but in India girls in school have now started playing cricket I haven't seen them doing the same on street for now but after WIPL the situation will change. BTW women cricketers in India get the same treatment and pay as their male counterparts. I do not think other subcontinent boards does the same for their female cricketers as BCCI does. They do go for the money but they also pay handsomely to their players and support staff.

I believe the problem with Bangladesh and other Asian countries women cricket team is the lack of support, and unless that changes we won’t really see them improve anytime soon. Furthermore New Zealand women’s cricket team is on the right track, and if they continue to further improve then they can definitely replace Australia who’re currently the number one team in woman’s cricket.
Women Cricket should be given more importance if they want to develop. Women's cricket teams in Asia are not given much prominence. As a result cricket is limited only to their name and to a few official matches. If concerned people give more importance then the Asian women's cricket team could also have placed in place of Australia and New Zealand. Especially, local cricket board and the ICC should take positive attitude towards woman cricket. Then it is expect that Asian women's cricket teams can do well.

It is about finding the right talent and giving more opportunities for the Women's. National Cricket board cannot do everything, it starts with having clubs and then to zonal and then preparing them to play in the big leagues and the opportunity to make huge amount of money is not there either and there are a few clubs that have Woman sporting events like Cricket and hence the selection pool is really small and when that changes we can see the real change Wink.
We have good sporting system in many Asian Countries but sadly in SAARC countries things are not going positive for the women's specially just because of conflict between Pakistan and India sports is going on back foot between these countries even India is doing good for their own domestic system and good results are coming, but this is not beneficial for the region other countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal which also needs good help for the improvement of the game and better results.

If they are able to start from schools then surely this could be beneficial for them, and they can improve performance and quality as well which will help them in future and big events as well, but this all needs good funds and better environment as well.

Bangladesh women's team played really very bad and it has many drawbacks. And this team should eliminate their bad points to stand.
I really appreciate the New Zealand team it performed very well. In T20 series they played well and in ODI series they also played really well.
Recently some women's cricket teams did not improve much, but some others women cricket teams improve tremendously. One of them is New Zealand Women's Cricket Team. But on the contrary some are far behind to reached at good level. I think Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan women's cricket teams should be given good facilities. If they get good guidance they can do well. In the meantime, Pakistan has changed its approach to its women's cricket team. The most important thing is to improve the quality of women's cricket especially in Bangladesh.
Development of women's sports in subcontinent countries are never been easy specially with the grass root system is not working, and many countries are still living in Stone Age because they never want to give any positive development or any space for these things but still recently we have good progress in Bangladesh and Pakistan because these teams are having good performance even consistency is not, but these are trying their best for the better results after India which is already having good quality and their performance level is also improving in last few years. Sri Lanka is modest country but their infrastructure and financial situation is not good for better results, but we can hope things could be good and positive for women's games in near future.

As said, national cricket board can't do everything. But, it needs to take initiative supporting the Women's cricket. This lacks in the Asian countries and the same makes it a tough thing for the right candidate to reach the position. As suggested reaching through the clubs is good, even in that women won't get opportunity easily. This is how the boards were acting. To be frank, in every sports someone expects adjustment when it comes to women. When this changes, everything changes. Nothing offensive, just the reality with everything sporting.
In the Asian Countries cricket board mostly invest on the men cricket team. They don't look at the women cricket team much. They practice with some equipments. Therefore the mostly Asian Women cricket teams don't practice much as compare to others.
Cricket board give them opportunity to play with low budget. I think this may effect on the performance.

New Zealand women's team has performed very well in both the series ‍against Bangladesh women's team. The 3-match T20I series Bangladesh women's team lost and whitewashed. In ODI series New Zealand win one and the other two matches being no result due to rain. The performance of Bangladesh women's team has failed completely in this series. Recently Australia and New Zealand have been interrupted by heavy rains which has resulted in the suspension of several series of matches.

The women's cricket teams that we are talking about right now; Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka are not going to improve fast. There are a lot of problems in these countries. Almost all of these three countries are financially unstable right now. And the men’s team is not doing well for these countries, let alone the women's team. Pakistan is trying to improve and I will say that this is the only women's team that has actually shown improvement among the three. Bangladesh women's team has actually been degraded in terms of quality. They were able to give some stiff competition to other big opponents. Now they are unable to do that, as they demonstrated against New Zealand's women's team.

Teams at the bottom get to play against the top very rarely. Even at that time rain interruption is really bad, because the players never gain any experience or learning out of the match. Anyhow it is a winning series for New Zealand just because a match is being played and won. It is always good to locate venues in such a way it won't affect the match.
