Canada will surely win this match today against the United States of America. The Canada is at the 2nd position at the points table after Scotland and if we see the United States, they are yet to begin today. However the last five matches that United States played they all lost those matches. (those matches were against UAE, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Nepal etc).

I am still looking for them to perform a little better and Monank Patel, the captain of US, should be concerning about his team recent performance, although they had a pretty satisfactory performance in the World Cups.

In the ODI match between Canada and USA, USA has to be ahead of Canada because we saw what USA did in T20 World Cup. Before the start of the World Cup, Bangladesh played a series against the USA where Bangladesh lost the series and this team has been in the news ever since, and when this team played the main stage of the World Cup, their performance really surprised us. The USA qualified for the second round in the last T20 World Cup, although they could have had a chance to advance to the semi-finals from the second round if their performance had been a little better. However, since it is a 50 over game, USA batsmen will do better than Canada, so USA has more chances to win.

I was looking at the points table in 2024–2026 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2. At this stage, I would have expected Scotland to be at the top, and maintain some gap with the other associate nations. They are still at the top, but their position doesn't seems to be that comfortable. They lost a couple of matches to Canada early on, and I suspect that it will cost them dearly this time. Namibia has been another disappointment. They have just 8 points from that many matches. United Arab Emirates, as expected, is at rock bottom.

No player made century in this match but I like matches with century and we saw low class batting by Canada team. Canada Cricket board should take step for the cricket and they should organize tournaments for the new comers. From the last T-20 WC point of view, there wasn't much for the pacers in the Caribbean. Seamers feasted in USA's leg tho. Almost every team, including India, went with an extra seam attack and Siraj did a decent job there. Yeah, SL's series didn't go well for him but those pitches were prepared for spinners, not seamers so I won't read much into it, in terms of seam POV.

Surely there is a big talent gap when compared to Bumrah or Shami but IMO Arshdeep and Siraj did alright in patches but need a strong bench in the seam department for sure.
