But Australia batted brilliantly, especially early on, if Travis Head and Matthew Short had not been aggressive, the DLS system might not have led the run-rate. However, Australia eventually won the series. Final match between Markhors and Panthers was big surprise. Markhors who played well until then struggled under pressure. Without their captain Muhammad Rizwan their batting did not go well. They lost wickets fast. Fakhar Zaman scored 46 runs but that was not enough. Panthers easily beat Markhors low score of 126 runs winning with 5 wickets left and 18 overs remaining.Markhors relied too heavily on Rizwan leadership. Without him, they were weak. Panthers took advantage and showed their strength.

Are you talking about the last match between Australia versus England ? Then I will say that even then if there was no rain there were also high chance of winning Australian team. Because they also did great performance in that match. The way they played in that match in my opinion I think they will easily touch the target and the target wasn't at that amount which cannot be touch especially for the Australian team. Yesterday this ODI series of 5 games were ended between Australia team and England team and 5 th last game was also played yesterday and before start of this game, this series was tied with equal wins 2-2. Head was received player of game award because he played quite good in bowling and batting and He made 31 runs in 26 balls and in bowling, he took down 4 wickets in 6.2 overs. England set quite competitive runs 309 to Australia team and due to DLS method, Australia team chased the runs and won game by 49 runs. Short batted great in opening and he made great half century for Australia team and helped a lot to win this game. His century was wasted from England side B.Duckett and he made 107 runs in 91 balls and hitted thirteen 4s and two 6s. Anyone here in this thread who watched final match of Champions One-Day Cup competition which was finished yesterday among Markhors squad against Panthers squad.
If we see the stats of Markhors squad, this squad displayed strong performance in previous matches and defeated every single squad and maintained their first position on standing table. Markhors squad has begun this final match first with Batting Inning and their batters quickly lost their wickets without disturbing the bowlers of panthers squad and biggest loss of Markhors squad in final match is that Muhammad Rizwan did not participate and didn't play this final match without his great Captaincy yesterday Markhor squad faced very bad defeat with low quality scores in first inning. From Markhors squad side no one was able to play long innings except Fakhar Zaman he expressed some support by managing 46 scores. 126 scores was so simple to achieve and Panthers squad simply achieved it with no burden of any high scores and no burden of balls and wickets. With loss of 5 wickets and playing 18 overs all scores of Markhors squad were achieved and Panthers squad emerged victory.

England team managed to score 309 runs in the first innings against Australia which resulted in a target of 310 runs for Australia. Australia knew in advance that there was a possibility of rain on the field so they had to put up a score in the first 20 overs that would keep them ahead of England if the match was abandoned due to rain.
Australia managed to perform exactly as they planned against England. Australia managed to score 162 runs against England in the first 20 overs with eight wickets in hand and when it rained at the end of the 20 overs and there was no sign of the rain stopping, the umpire decided the result of the match in favor of Australia. That is, Australia won the last t20 match against England by 49 runs to defeat England by 3-2 in the series

This is getting ridiculous, ICC should definitely do something about this rain situation. Big and important matches are getting decided by the DLS method. This is a method which I think is not the best suited in this day and age. I think it is better to just keep a reserved date if there is rain. But I guess when one innings has already been played, you cannot do much. Just think about it. Chasing 310 in 50 overs with 10 wickets in hand is a lot harder compared to chasing 117 in 20 overs with 10 wickets in hand.

Sorry for your loss but I don't think it wouldn't also right that blaming the rain only for the lost in this match because the way England recover in the third match the same way Australian team was having to recover this match after losing two matches. I said this because the way Australian batter are performing in this match if they can continue till to the 50over then their run could be around 400 if they batted first. So in today's match Australia make the performance that they will be able to beat even the target on 400. Anyway good enjoyable seires thank to both team players.
Yes Rain affected match but it is not only reason Australia lost. England came back strongly in third match and Australia could have done same. Yesterday Australia batting was great and exactly they could have scored around 400 runs if they had played full 50 overs. They showed they could catch up to big score.Both teams played well in this exciting series. Australia never gave up and England kept fighting. Even with rain series showed excellent cricket skills and fans should praise players hard work.

But I guess when one innings has already been played, you cannot do much. Just think about it. I guess I am just a little annoyed to see that a match which is decider is being played in this way. I don’t know if other people will agree but I definitely think that the DLS method takes away the competitive integrity from certain matches.

DLS method is not new to cricket and teams know very well about it. The matches that are affected by rain are usually decided by the DLS method and both the teams playing know about it and they prepare the game accordingly. Yes, one team do get an advantage due to DLS while other team is at a disadvantage but we cannot say that the match results based on DLS are not fair. Also, not every match can have a reserve day and we should consider DLS as a part of cricket rules for deciding the games that do not get enough time to play the full 50 (for ODI) or 20 overs (for T20).
