This is getting ridiculous, ICC should definitely do something about this rain situation. Big and important matches are getting decided by the DLS method. This is a method which I think is not the best suited in this day and age. I think it is better to just keep a reserved date if there is rain. But I guess when one innings has already been played, you cannot do much. Just think about it. Chasing 310 in 50 overs with 10 wickets in hand is a lot harder compared to chasing 117 in 20 overs with 10 wickets in hand.

I guess I am just a little annoyed to see that a match which is decider is being played in this way. I don’t know if other people will agree but I definitely think that the DLS method takes away the competitive integrity from certain matches.

Maybe it's the right revenge for Australia as they won the first two matches and then lost the next two matches. But this match was unfortunate for England as they were defeated by Duckworth lewis stern (DLS) method due to rain.

By the rain interruption there is nothing to do but accept the fate. Throughout the year, it rains somewhere due to which cricket also faces obstacles there. But as no one can cope with nature, no matter how good the match, there is nothing to do. In Australia and England series England could not save the end of the series at their own venue in England. Because of rain, the two teams were tied in the T20 series and the possibility arose again that if the last match was not in a position to play 20 overs, the result would have been the same. Here Australia can be said to be lucky because they won the toss and decided to field and play accordingly.

Yeah. Short got motivated by Head's aggressive batting thanks to which they ended up giving an epic start to their chase which eventually helped them win via DLS.

The Australian team gave a befitting reply as they lost the next two matches in a row and gave their best performance in today's match. However, due to the DLS system, the Australian team managed to win, but if the whole match performance, the Australian team would have been more likely to lose. This was the weakest point of the Australian team as two of the attacking batsmen of the Australian team got out after collecting few runs.

England after toss got opportunity to bat first and through phenomenal innings of duckett alongside with thier captain and consistent performer harry brook they scored more than 300 which indicates they are at strong position to dominate that match but surprisingly Australian scored more than half of total target at very early overs despite lose some of thier important top order batters but still they continue thier dedication and finally after rain intruption they got announced as not only winner of last and fifth match but the series too as they were ahead according to DLS mode so they won by 49. Unlike previous matches, today Australian team played an agressive innings and due to this they were in the winning position throughout the match. Since England team had scored high, the only option for the Australian team was to go fast throughout the innings. The good luck with the Australia team was that they did not lose wickets and this helped them go with the fast run rate throughout the match.

The lost thier first wicket at 78 runs when Travis Head was out and the second wicket at 118 runs when they lost Matthew Short. However they did not slow down the scoring rate and won this rain interrupted final by the DLS method.
