Bargraphics doesn't need to worry about whether Avalon delivers because he just wants to jump in and purchase a bunch of units then pawn them off to the highest bidder. No wonder he isn't pissed about this.

You are right, I don't spend money I can't afford to lose.

And if my calculations don't see a positive ROI, maybe someone elses does and they would be happy to be first in line.

Please worry about yourself more than me though, from the tone of your posts you'll be hurting for a while.
I'm not hurting I am just calling it what it is.

While Avalon has totally let us down and screwed us over, they are far ahead of bitfury in terms of development time.

What a crock.

Avalon Gen 1 - 110nm, 280-350 nominal MH/s

BitFury Gen 1 - 55nm, 1.5-2.9 nominal GH/s

Avalon may have been first to market, but it was a relatively weak processor.

I have zero respect for you, don't bother replying to my posts as you are ignored now.

You managed to ignore all the legitimate complaints in the message, and simply defend yourself. I'll give you the last word, you won't shut up if I don't.

The good news is chips will start shipping end of next week. Lets hope  terrahash's order is in that batch.

The bad news is they will ship avalon version 2 by October.   By the time we get our orders, maybe on  2nd week of sept.,  our rigs will be obsolete in one month.

I feel like that was the plan all along. Now the first purchasers of the avalon products get to be the first purchasers again having made back their investment and then some while we got screwed to fund the development of their new chips which will make ours obsolete. And in the process kept us from using our funds to invest elsewhere.

Fortunately, we can speak with our BTC Wallets next time.  I personally won't be purchasing anymore Avalon products.  Not when there are guys like Bitfury which are on-track with their delivery, and have far better ability to communicate with their customers.

Same here I refuse to give Avalon any $.
BF of HashFast will be watched closely. I already bough BF starter kit.., so we'll see.. Smiley

But not making the ROI has prevented me from increasing my BTC wallet to the point of making a 2nd or 3rd gen purchase.

As suspected, you are a complete moron.

I came here to make money not to hold your hand while you decide if the money grandma loaned you can make you rich if you buy a bitcoin machine.
No one knew Terrahash prior to this thread besides Cloudhashing.
I didn't "Call in" my order, I'm actually not even sure how you came this conclusion since I stated that I simply checked out with a wire transfer which completes the order without going through the time consuming paypal issues. Landing me the First Order. (Again Logic, something you are not used to)
Anything I "Attacked" anyone on wasn't a minor issue and more than likely just like your post above they were simply making up scenarios to suit their view.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how selling a Terrahash order has anything to do with me not liking them as a company? Again I'm here to make money however I see fit, but I won't jeopardize a start-up company that has done everything correct by asking for a refund when they order parts as needed for your order. It's people like you with zero disregard for logic, others, and ethics that puts me in "attack" mode.

Just to put your mind at rest, even if I get this unit in a month. It will still be profitable for me over time since I have near free electricity.

Ah, you're correct, I read your message too quickly in the order thread about calling and made the wrong assumption (you called after the fact to verify). See how that goes? It's okay to admit that you're wrong. Try it sometime.

It appears you just like being a fanboy and instead of trying to discuss topics in an intelligent manner, you opt for trying to insult. I understand that usually indicates a position of weakness. I have .048 kw/h power, but I'll still be selling this when it finally arrives if there is still a market. My mind is much more at ease knowing that you can still make your profit with your near free electricity. You're in an "attack" mode to protect your investment, and you're scrambling to try and sell a pre-order, because you're trying to protect your investment. It's okay to admit this. Oh, and by adding gas to the fire, you don't protect the Terrahash, you prolong the discussion. This all started because you couldn't deal with my one-line 360 degree comment (which was true), and here we are wasting the space of the thread for the company you think you're protecting.

Additionally, you didn't pay via a method that gave you an out if they didn't deliver as expected (regardless of whose fault it is), so obviously you're backed into a corner about getting a refund.

Profitability going down is not Terrahash's fault at all, we all knew the risks going into it. But the lack of any attention with their support ticket system for people that had payment and status issues, along with general questions about changing addresses, ownership or even questions about hosting have gone completely ignored. While we all know the Crypto world is not the normal business world, but you tend to better gain loyalty to your business by paying attention to customers and answering questions related to their account/purchase.

Well the only thing we really can do is wait, Unless Terrahash has a bead on some other source of chips,,,which they have hinted to that, to some extent,,but think they were all inclusive with these shipments as well. But someone sure seems to have some on alibaba? lets wait and see what TH's take is on all this or if they know something we dont know now, as they havent addressed this yet.

Although it could be somewhat true about organized crime...
My dad once "tried" to do some business in Ukraine.. by possibly opening a factory...
Ohh boy.., while he was even considering we were already getting some Mafia extortion calls on our unlisted US number. lol
Go figure.
That venture was quickly filed under do not touch ever again. lol

So we're pretty screwed now, huh? At the so called mercy of Customs.
Dont know how true that is.., the recipients would have had tracking numbers of their shipments regardless of order being stuck in customs.

hmm...HF?

They probably repack them in this US and ship as bulk through customs.

Meaning tracking numbers might come after they arrive in the US? Just a guess.

Either way he said that by the end of next week chips will be getting shipped so at least we have something to look forward to.

crossing my fingers, lol

Screwed is relative.

1. Do the chips actually exist?
2. Do the chips actually sit in customs?
3. Have the chips been stolen?
4. Will your chips arrive next week?

etc...

Because I honor their No Refund Policy and a couple interesting ventures have come up that I'd like to invest in,

I am Auctioning off the very first DX-Larges purchased (which also happens to be the very first order placed as well)

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.2883243

I still have full faith that Terrahash will deliver and if these auctions do not sell I'll still be completely happy with taking delivery of my order.
If knightlife999 agrees for escrow, the price is way lower and more important I can find the funds, then I am interested! Tongue
Maybe 6K $...
lose 4k? great deal.
I

Lol,  I was driving home and wondering the same thing.

He meant to say $4k more than the asking price Smiley

Ahhh,  so generous of him!
I'd wait to sell anything until the tomorrow's super duper Avalon announcement.
But then again it could be "thanks for all your money, see ya" type. Lol
Even at this price I doubt it wil ROI - stop dreaming we have bet on the right horse (at the moment it's Bitfury).
No way to take my coins & leave if he chooses escrow with KL999... (EDIT: Forget last sentence I misunderstood! BTW I am not sure the anounement was good or bad for us)

indeed... Now only if terrahaash has everything in place to make the orders to ship.
Unfortunately, without the basics in place such as meeting the hash rates promised... terrahash deliveries are still up in the air

Lets say customs clears up tomorrow. Still no boards, still no case, still no many many components needed to populate the boards to meet the orders.

Excuses on Force Majeure‎ due to avalon is now done (maybe good for 1 more week?).

Whats next? Stay tuned. This is better than reality television.
I'm not all that concerned about TH being ready WHEN the chips come in. I believe they will be ready.
But yes this whole worldwide battle for asic mining rigs is unreal. It is better than reality TV.....this thread was a reality show in the making early on.. lol

Maybe TH will strike a deal with some of the other "in hand" chip holders that are out there (being sold for resale not mfg.),,Alibaba anyone? lol

hahaha-- the worst part is that this terrahash kid doesn't even know what an intel fellow means!

soldering chips together do NOT mean knowing how things work. PERIOD.
