maybe the wiki should be multi lang too?

there is no link to https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Anoncoin on the wiki front page(?)

there is no info about tor in the intro of https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Anoncoin, also its lacking links to i2p and zerocoin pages.

there is no info about tor under "Setting up your wallet for the first time" https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Setting_up_your_Anoncoin_wallet.

could be good to create https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Anonymity_of_Cryptocurrencies (maybe a good place to put the anonymity table i mentioned earlier) and link every "anonymous", "anonymity", ... to it - thats what its all about, anonymity.

come on guys zzzzz
n00n  , I will work on that after getting our forum ready. Please let me know , if you are interested to edit the wiki. I will create a user for you.  But i don't think , we need to create a page in wiki for anonymity of other cryptocoins.
I will also provide you a little change in the design html file that you had provided.  We can definitely get it translated in multiple languages.  Very Nice work , my friend.  Smiley Smiley

I like the "ZeroTrust" idea,
people who know something, but not much will ask themselves "how can one coin be in another"
I mean by Anoncoin with Zerocoin implant..

Word Zero is important to stay in this moment, but I would rather like some kind of AnonTrust or similar..

Ignore guy like teenager bangomatic, he left culture in first month of birth.
This kind of communication he learn on some pump'n dump exchange site chats, or at home.

ZeroCoin, ZeroCash, ZeroTrust

It falls into the same mold. Its catchy. People come here for privacy, the demographic we are catering to wont have a problem with it. It clears up a lot of confusion and it might just be the slogan we need to carry us through the next wave of shitcoins.

The demographic every coin must cater to first is the average person. Catering to the <1% of the population that is obsessive about privacy, and knowledgeable about the tech side of privacy, won't work.

I respectfully disagree. Firstly its really doesn't sound as bad as you think, and at first we need to outshine our competition within the alt coin space. The people we need to impress right now are already active within the community. "ZeroTrust" will clear up the confusion regarding the advantage of our approach over the systems proposed within the original zerocoin and zerocash whitepapers. ZeroTrust is something people on this forum can get behind.

And btw, bangomatic sounds like a teenager trying to protect what he thinks will be a cash cow for him.  Forget him, his worthless coin will fade soon enough.  People who don't investigate before throwing in their cash always get taken.

The flip side though is that people have an obligation to keep coins honest.

If you see that someone has launched a coin that was questionnably mined, then paid to put the coin on an exchange, all when the coin is not even ready yet, it is nice to say something to warn people to be cautious. That does seem to be the case with librex or whatever it is called.

Anoncoin is a coin that from the start has had significant privacy features. Some people are excited about potentially adding zerocoin, others not. The work between fluffypony and meeh is much more important for the coin longterm. Regardless there is no comparison between anoncoin and a coin that has not even got basic anonymity features yet but promises to.

Strongly vote against using the name zerotrust. It would sabotage the coin more than anything else.

The few people who understand the arcane reference to trustlessness would be outweighed by the huge number who would instinctively say "zerotrust, that sounds like a bad thing".

I disagree. It plays on same cords as "your business is none of our business".
You don't have to rely on any third party for your anonymity. Its the reason there is a demand for this technology in the first place.

Right. I understand the reference to trustlessness, but the word/phrase itself is toxic.

Think zerointegrity
zerovalue
zeroethics
zerotrust

Very difference from "your business is none of our business" which is edgy but unambiguous.

Ask any stranger if they want to buy something called zerotrust. It doesn't even need a focus group. It loses among new people to almost any other name except maybe crookedcoin or letsdrinksomedraincleaner coin.

I've been watching this coin for a while, and with increased interest in recent months.

One thing that I believe that contributes to its overall low popularity is that most people don't understand how Anoncoin's implementation of Zerocoin is different than Zerocash. Hell, Zerocoin is already hard enough to grasp as a concept, let alone a variation of it. This adds to an existing perception that ANC is just a copy/paste coin with no real unique attributes.

If the ANC team worked hard to modify the original Zerocoin proposal to make it absolute trustless through the use of UFOs, you should consider calling it something else and stop this confusion. How about saying ANC is the only coin with "Zerotrust" technology, and then explain somewhere for those who really want to know that "Zerotrust" is a new protocol based on the original Zerocoin paper?

By the way, how is the RSA UFO generation going?

Yes it does have a ring, and Zerotrust will not be confusing at all regarding zerocash or zerocoin.... wut??  To the non-techy it could provide clarity and a sense that ANC is different or going a different direction while at the same time placing the trust issue right in the name.  Brilliant.

100ANC bounty for the best designed CSS for the qt wallet.

https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Bounties

please provide a short guide how to do the tech part or you will scare most designers Smiley
where do we find the css file?
how do we test the css on the wallet?
will the css look the same on all OS or do we have to do different csss?
is it pure css or are there images/other files as well?

Here is some info on QT CSS:   https://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/stylesheet.html

The bounty is to create a better looking wallet then the plain Grey one we have now. Something that looks like awesome like this https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8022980 but with the distinctive Anoncoin brand. It should work with all qt wallets on Windows, Mac and Linux.

good point, who can provide this info?
or if you look at it from an other point of view - who do we want to attract by adding their language?
chinese, korean, japanese, russian, hindi, arabic, persian, spanish, portugese, french and german comes to my mind.
by adding these languages to the front page (once again a good reason to keep the front page stripped - less to translate) and using the right words (anonymous payment system, anonymous online transactions, anonymous digital cash?) for the search engines (and adding anoncoin.net to foreign search engines like baidu.com and  yandex.com) we should hopefully see them coming and adding to the wiki in their native tongue Smiley

MY LORD! I said that your coin was a SCAM and did not back it up with reason!
Later I mentioned that particular details are missing to connect your Coin with the Development of ZeroCoin or Zerocash.

Not Apraksin - he stated that if particular questions are not answered the Coin is to be seen questionable.

Good god -.- I mean really? Are you being a little bitch about 1 guy calling you a scam and 1 guy questioning your legitimacy?

You clearly are not long enough in the Cryptosphere to deal with this properly.

What coins are you invested in besides anoncoin?

Please provide information about how you expect zerocoin to work with this script file. I guess you got C++ skills since you got so high opinions:
https://github.com/librexcoin/librexcoin/blob/master/src/script.cpp

I dont need to prove anything! I just say you are a scam like smokingskull and a few others did at Librex thread! I have no proof that u scam but I make it a point to tell everyone, ok??

ANONCOIN IS A SCAM!

http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/librexcoin-relaunched-zerocoin-implementation/2014/08/07

Man are you a pathetic specimen. One post claimed scam, and the poster deleted the post himself on your request. The rest has been fair questions directed at claims from the dev which he in my case chose to delete.

Get a grip.

Pathetic is claiming SCAM without basis. I asked you to PM the dev, but you dont want to do that...so you sir are pathetic.

All general info should be written so that an 11 year old understand.
All tech pages should be written so that tech people get something out of it, while the rest of us thinks "thats crazy".
a For beginners page could be great though, written for 6 year olds (with cats, flowers and more).

lunokhod2
sure, ill try to hide some language buttons in plain sight.
i just read some about multilang pages and the only thing that could mess up a bit is the readability of the font size in different languages, so i did this:

please get someone to verify that this is readable.

Nothing against you dude. I hope you can get it working. I will leave you in peace now...unless your crew comes back to librex thread...then i will be back.
