Lean into the curves.
Hello to all my ANC friends  Smiley

I just created and released the ANC Green Faucet to spread Anoncoin in ensuring an equitable distribution.

For more informations, please access to the link below:
https://faucet.anoncoinbuy.com/

I hope that all of us will like it and help the faucet to spread ANC with a donation.

I spend a lot of hours creating it from the scratch to avoid the abusive use of the faucet. More informations on the Faucet Specs:
https://faucet.anoncoinbuy.com/specifications.php

Through this project, I learned how to install and operate a full node to the ANC Network with a VPS hosted in France.
It therefore appeared to me many ideas for projects related to ANC or others cryptos that could indirectly promote ANC.

This is great, thanks!

Just to let you know about possible glitch, when I first tried I failed the captcha, and on the second attempt it seemed to lock up.

Got it on a different tab, though.  The .1 ANC came within seconds just as promised.

Wikipedia is notorious for deleting new pages, however, although it may seem inconsistent with some pages that exist, and assuming no bias, there are specific requirements that they look for in allowing a page to exist there. A publicity or opinion page will be removed almost as soon as seen by mods, usually with an explanation and it being placed in a 'sandbox' area (I might be using wrong term here). What wikipedia likes for inclusion in their site are 'notable' references. This means links to articles or papers that differentiate it from other similar products (and there are loads of crapcoins out there probably doing the same thing). Attempts to do this prematurely can lead to bias. Best strategy for inclusion in wikipedia is to wait until the previously mentioned bounty article is published on a crypto news site. Links to this and technical articles on the wiki assist the wikipedia mods in establishing 'notability'.

Having some experience with wikipedia in the past with another coin, led me to bow out and leave it to someone else, as there is a lot of back and forth between the mods who sandbox it, and the individual who is trying to comply with their requests. It is a case of too many cooks spoil the broth. Getting an article on wikipedia is a task that requires some dedication, patience and catering to mods opinions, and quite a few hours over several days.

In development, help us out by running ufo_client Smiley

Is this difficult to do? At work I have a pc and a mac with adequate processing power that I could dedicate, but it could easily strand on my amateur skills.

whats up with this?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anoncoin

someone please make an article there based on wiki.anoncoin.net, and put links to anoncoin.net on there - good for SEO.
Unfortunately, Anoncoin is not "notable" enough for wikipedia. I tried this a few months ago, but it was deleted. What we need is to have a few articles in notable publications that discuss anoncoin.

The Anoncoin project is pleased to announce the following bounty - Links for ANC

Short description: Addition of a new commercial internet web site that accepts ANC to the Anoncoin wiki.

Amount: 5 ANC for each link, with a maximum of 10 links per user.

Details

The objective of this bounty is to have the Anoncoin community find commercial internet web sites that accept ANC, and to add a link to this site on the Anoncoin wiki page Places that accept Anoncoin (https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Places_that_accept_Anoncoin). 5 ANC will be paid for each link, with a limit of 10 links per user. As part of this bounty, the community is encouraged to convince internet commerce sites to accept Anoncoin.

An acceptable link is one that points to a web site that accepts directly ANC (payable to an ANC address provided by the site), one that is not already on the current list of places that accept Anoncoin, and one that sells at least one type of product or service. The link must be added to the wiki in its appropriate category, along with a short phrase summarizing the content of the site, by the person claiming the bounty. If the person does not already have an account to access the wiki, one will be created by contacting one of the wiki administrators (Geekz, Lunokhod, or Meeh).

Exchanges, porn sites, scam sites, or sites that are clearly illegal will not be considered. Payout is under the condition of suitable funds in the ANC donation address after all other bounties are accounted for. The conditions of this bounty are subject to change.

I have added The Bitscoin Shop and Bit Services UK.  They have been added to the wiki at Anoncoin Wiki - Places that accept Anoncoin  Both are listed as accepting ANC at coinpayments.

Bit Services provides web hosting, web design, domain name registration, and computer repairs. Located in the UK.

Bitscoinshop sells clothes, shoes, eyeglasses, perfume (for Mrs Anon), phones, pc accesories, miners, and watches.

ANC without one leg has more value than DRK,
ANC with all team he have behind is more then a coin.

Here is a general observation.

When I first noticed anoncoin last year there was no other coin that tried to improve the anonymity of bitcoin. If you searched for "anonymous altcoin" or something similar, google would send you to a page about anoncoin, no other coin. So anoncoin was first there.

But now let me search a few phrases on Google and see where it sends me.

"first anonymous coin" (in quotes)
First 5 results are darkcoin.
6th result anoncoin
7th and 8th result darkcoin
9th result nxt coin
10th result nud coin

First anonymous coin to use tor (without quotes)
First seven results deal with bitcoin, silk road etc
8th result is anoncoin
9th result darkcoin
10th result bitcoin etc

First tor altcoin (no quotes)
anoncoin does not appear on the first page of results

"Anonymous cryptocurrency" (with quotes)
Anoncoin does not appear on the first page of results. Coins listed include darkcoin appcoin cloakcoin monero, but not anc.

etc

It defies reason to think that the Google algorhythm by itself is excluding anc. Somewhere there must be some deliberate sabotage. It just does not make sense. There is quite a bit more. For example in the second search above the 8th result is a low profile link to an anoncoin post on reddit while the 9th result is an expanded bitcointalk link for darkcoin. No one who sees those results would click on anoncoin.

Search optimization might vary by coin site but coins listed on bitcointalk should not get extra points in the Google search algorhythm unless someone is fudging numbers.

In other words it looks to me like anoncoin is sabotaged at Google itself.

When anoncoin started it used a high profile association with the hacker collective anonymous.  The United States government has devoted vast resources to discrediting "Anonymous" and perhaps that explains why google is so overtly ignoring the coin.

It seems like a possibility anyway.

I just added SEO to the web site (keywords and descriptions for each page). Lets see if this helps after the pages are reindexed...

Explorers, Distribution and Big Whale Wallets should not be one of the Concerns of ANC fans.

We will never know for sure who the wallet belongs to nor will we ever know the correct Distribution

I'm not concerned,  and that top wallets are not so big if you look other coins..
What someone mentioned one or two times on forum,
problem is that ANC devs don't have much ANC

ANC isnt made for the devs, so why should we have tons of ANC?

I will give you a new theme for next weekend  Grin

How are we doing on this?

https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/issues/35

Now that we are done with RSA UFO generation, this should be one of the last steps before Zerocoin beta can begin right?

Thanks!
its not "done". its still an ongoing process

Lean into the curves.
It seems to me that devs who buy a lot of their own coins and brag about it are most
likely trying to pump up the value just so that they can dump their coins and  make short
term profit at the expense of others who trust those devs.

One thing I really like about ANC is that the devs seem to be spending their time working on
creating a coin with more use and value than bitcoin, rather than spending time trying to
convince others to buy their coin.  And if that's the case, then whatever ANCs they
are holding will balloon in value.  If that is the case, then keeping ANC low profile so
that they can be bought cheap for as long as possible (until the strongest anonymity
to date comes online and the public gets wind of it) is the smartest thing to do.

If you take the time to read up on ANC info out there, and stop worrying about frequent
updates, then you will take a long term view.

But if all you want to do is buy and sell for quick gains... well, there are plenty of coins
good for that.

Maybe, if you take a look through the list of ANC wallets (link posted in an earlier post),
you will find many people are holding ANCs.  That might tell you something.

Owning ANC means there is a financial incentive to make the coin succeed and become valuable. If the developer(s) owns peanuts (and refuses to buy at these low prices), it indicates a complete lack of faith in not only the zerocoin implementation being released in september, but the future of ANC as a whole.

The more invested, the more reason they have to work on improving the coin.

The less invested, the less reason to give a shit.
Good point.
Tough i think almost all ANC devs have "some" ANC, i dont know why he came up with it.

I for one, am not a "dev" to make profits, but to create something awesome.
