How can we estimate the amount of time it may take to mine all of the 4.2 Million Anoncoins?

For now it is 1M per year, roughly that is 4.2M in August 2017 ?

No. Remember the block halving. The block rewards goes down from 5 to 2.5 per block, and stays at 2.5 for approximately 2 years. For the next 2 years after that the block reward will be 1.25 and so on. Mining out the last ~1.5 million will take many years.

Yes,I forgot that, it is morning here..and I'm not a miner.
It is even better, less coins, less reward, higher price, healthy coin like it is planned : )

btw   I see some moves here

Gnos1s is alive!!!

If I was Gnos1s, I was buying tons of ANC before releasing the Zerocoin implementation Grin

Before few days one member have good post,
"devs don't have many ANC, so that is a major problem."

I want to say, devs do not have much money to manipulate and cheat, and that is good.

We saw how price is increased before June, and the reason was possibility of ZC implantation.
I expect much more increase about 1 month from now, for the same reason, and this time maybe for really.

Trying to add AnonCoin to AllCrypt but the github is a "pre-release test build - use at your own risk - do not use for mining or merchant applications" and is NOT the same version as listed in the OP of this thread.

If the guthub gets updated someone please open a support ticket on AllCrypt.com and let us know.
Are you using master branch? https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/tree/master

Will start development for mobile bitcoinj for ANC at https://github.com/geekz/bitcoinj
Any help would be appreciated. It will be a simple java wallet and without i2p or tor features for now.

Great!  Cool

I will give you 50 ANC as a bounty for this Wink

Here is your bounty address: ANdroicLmsxioNySJcrMaDM4hE4YjYD575

I will give all the ANC there is on it to you as soon as a working implementation of android wallet is done Wink

Others peoples who wanna give some ANC for the android wallet can use this address (although they will have to trust me Wink).

Thanks Gastrol. It would be great if you can get some java developers to help with it.

Anoncoin is in my book called Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative".  Here is first draft of IFC:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7131241

Anoncoin will look similar to this.  Coin specifications, history, exchanges and other miscellaneous details will be included.  Please see below the two preliminary pages I wrote for Anoncoin earlier:

Any donations towards this project are welcome - ANVLEZMHZYZRtS9mT4WNxunwLN7xi89imD

Hi guys, I'm trying to withdraw ANC from Cryptsy since two days without success. I receive the below message (for a deposit too):
Our wallet is offline while we update to the latest version. It should be back online soon.

I sent a message to their support and they told me that they will solve this issue as fastest as possible.
Vircurex has very few transactions per day. Coinex is almost died.

We need ANC on Mintpal or another big exchange place!
I just created an account on Mintpal to start some few trades that will allow me to send one vote per hour to ANC.
If everyone gets going, maybe we will see ANC on Mintpal in the future Cool

apparently the wallet has been updated, I tried to withdraw, it went through, I have a TXID, but transaction is not showing up yet in the blockchain (been over 4 blocks since withdrawal). wrote to support.. waiting for an answer.

I like the tor/i2p functionality and the clearnet warning if you aren't using them. Mining and holding. Love you dumpers, thanks for filling my buy orders.

@ Skaia - Wouldn't mind seeing ANC on a less laggy exchange.  I don't hate cryptsy, it just is slow and clunky to navigate!!!
Not sure why they are taking so long with their wallet.   It is kinda annoying to update tho, have to start I2P network, wait 5 mins, start anoncoin wallet, close anoncoin wallet, then open anoncoin wallet again.

What a rigmarole for I2P.   Maybe I should try the other networks see if they are easier?

Yeah, I kind of agree here. I only use i2p for the anoncoin client too, and it is a bit annoying. If the developers added an i2p router to anoncoin, along with zerocoin, it would be a killer app.
I2P will be builtin (you can choose if you want builtin or external) once i2pd (see github) is usable.

If you only use I2P for ANC, why dont you just use ANC in clearnet as privacy is none of ur concerns.

yes true, but all the hype is about I2P.    I know nothing about that, clearnet, Tor or anything else, so to most non Anonymous needing people these will be something we need to work out how to use.

I2p was the popular thing so that's the way I went.      Was this mistaken?   Are the other ways better?  faster?

I don't know.    and that is the main problem that will hold ANC back from hitting it popular.     That may not be what you want, and that is all fine and good, and that is also why this one grabs me more.
No real hype here, and the coin is holdin its own.    So sick of nublets trying to overhype the damn things its embarrasing.

But yeah, point is, this ANC isn't that easy to master.   Maybe that's its charm tho?  who knows.

Good point! Some things I demand privacy for, and others not. Other times I use TOR. In any case, I should have said that I use "-onlynet=i2p"

Regardless, it's great to hear that there will be a choice to use the built in version. I think that most of us here don't mind installing i2p at the command line, but if Anoncoin becomes widely adopted, the majority of users will do whatever is the easiest, which at this point is clearnet. I would therefore make i2p to be the default option. It would probably be a good idea to require that the user encrypts their wallet as well.
