Hey TheKoziTwo, long time no see Cheesy  Welcome back. Cryptoslave , "https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/cryptoslave-392650"  has taken over and made some improvements. The project still suffers from declining/centralized hashpower and multi pool profiting, but changes have been made and progress is slow but steady and greatly appreciated. This thread was killed and rezzed and now continues at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1481693.0;all 5/22/16. Happy hashing.

I underestimated the scope of this project and set too ambitious of a schedule for it. Zerocoin will be probably be ready within 2-3 months, but I don't want to give any more release dates (either for testnet or mainnet) until I am very, very close. I will not make this mistake again.

I will continue to give status updates, and I have made tremendous progress in recent weeks. As I promised, I will still work full time on this until November 1, and I expect to have a few hours a day after that to work on it.

I have tried to install the wallet but seems won't start, if I select I2P mode I get an error. No problem with "classic mode".
In addition is unclear the Zerocoin matter. I have heard zerocoin is still under development, when the devlopment of Zerocoin will be completed Anoncoin will use zerocoin? or Zerocoin will be another altcoin with is own blockchain and Anoncoin will to use only a similar technology to improve its protocol?

I think I'll skip the Windows version testing and move to the Ubuntu version till this is resolved as I don't want to carry out a rebuild with every update. Thanks tomothy for the heads up  Grin

I found an installation problem when installing the wallet on windows 8. It keeps crashing when the Anoncoin wallet is loading and the wallpaper screen appears: https://github.com/Anoncoin/anoncoin/issues/106

If you have a suggestion as to how to get Poloniex to add ANC that would be great. However, I don't think they want to due to past issues. Also, most discussion concerning coin and updates now takes place on this thread.

Time for Poloniex ?

It is on btc38, that's enough, imo poloniex hardly add an old coin now, they seek new coins

I don't agree it's enough, polo is all the western market and alot of chinese and the amount of BTC exchanged there for ETH outweigh anything in the altcoin market.

ANC needs poloniex.

This I2P proposal on Stack Exchange should be of interest to the ANC community.

https://area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/99297/i2p

Although the proposal was posted by a Monero developer it is meant to benefit the entire I2P community which includes Anoncoin.

If you are interested in the C++ I2P router project  happening now you can watch its progress here:

NEW VERSION 0.9.6.11 RELEASED - HARDFORK @ BLOCK 555555

We announce the official release of the new master based on Anoncoin 0.9.6.11.

This new version is an obligatory update with an HARDFORK @ block 555555

Featured in this version are the following:

- An upgraded to bitcoin 0.10.99 code
- Many excellent improvements such as for instance header-first synchronisation, leading to much quicker I2P synchronisation and block download
- Deterministic fork selection
- A rewritten communication protocol (I2P and clearnet)
- No more using IRC for synching peers
- Anoncoin's test network (testnet) and regression test mode (regtest) available
- A new Kimoto Gravity Well v 2.0 using curves that is much quicker to calculate (it will be useful only for blocks before the hardfork and for first synching as KGW will be obsoleted by PID)
- A second new innovative difficulty algo "GroundRod RetargetPID" using a PID (Proportional - Integral - Derivative) controller, that will be enforced at block 555555 as the new difficulty retargetting system
- Real hashes calculation and not pseudo difficulty (we will be the only Scrypt coin to use true hashes in calculus of difficulty)
- Multisig Anoncoin address
- An improved mining through I2P only, to go forward a fully I2P darknet coin
- Themes support in anoncoin-qtt (currently for Win32, OS-X and linux, not for win64)
- SAM support ported to 0.10.99 and working with both Java and C++ implementation of I2P (Orignal's i2pd, LibI2Pd)
- New I2P and DNS seednodes
- Headless building with toolchain
- New alert key management
- Auto generation of I2P addresses provided the java I2P router is configured with default options during setup
- Bug fixes

Everyone shall update to this 9.6.11 version ASAP. This is a mandatory upgrade, as after block 555555 the old peers will be disconnected. The version 8.5.6 will be obsolete when the HARDFORK block 555555 will be mined.

I was diagnosed with brain parasite
So, are there any reliable mining pools for ANC?

The best one I have used is "Cryptopia" in New Zealand. I have had success trading and mining with them.

I can confirm Cryptopia is legit project. I personally bought and withdraw ANC from it.

So far the testnet is still running without any trouble Smiley

But we need more beta-tester! Every one that can build on linux or OSX can join us to finish this testing! You cooperation will be very appreciated.

If you want to participate go on #anoncoin on I2P and ask for me in the channel stating you want to try the testnet.

Thank you

We are currently doing a live testnet to try the hardfork setting! Anyone who wants to join us is welcome to join!  Smiley

Please come check on #anoncoin on I2P we will tell you how you can participate (windows, OSX or linux)...

Thank you for your help
