I remember when the price of this coin rose to 5$.
But it seems those days are in the past..

"GroundRod our Chief Developer is no more, in fact he may be actually dead... but because he is anonymous we cannot be sure although it is 4 months he disapeared."

worth noting.

Hey, so I had a personal emergency recently that ate up a bunch of my time, and as a result I'm behind on coding a little bit. I still plan to release the demo on December 31 but it might be buggier and less functional than I anticipated. Still, I'm really excited about this and I think its a great service to finally have. I hope to have an official release on February 1.

It is fine, take your time.
People are still pretty pissed if they lose fiat.
I don't understand why, but they still act as it have some sort of value or what.

put a sell order for 300anc at 0.00033000 on ExchangeD.I2P

hopefully someone picks it up Smiley

That price is higher than at other exchanges. Why would anyone want to pay you .00033BTC for each ANC? Last time I checked you were still missing the experienced C++ coder you needed to work on ANC code.

I know a cheaper alternative Wink

EDIT.. actually a few

Feel free to buy on Cryptsy, you will never get it back to your wallet...
And there is no other exchange with real volume.

I will recommend to actually start using I2P exchange.

Yes especially with anonymous coins if you want to remain anonymous Exchanged.I2P is the way to go.

Good news my friends!

Vircurex backend is up n' running. Anoncoins can be withdrawn and deposited again. Just tested and verified. Also BTC, DOGE and other wallets work (except PPC and DGC, but those have been offline for a while)

Its nice that they are accepting withdrawals. What would be nicer is if they payed back the 1million USD they goxed. so thanks for shilling, but please do it elsewhere. I dont know what your investment in their service is, but it has been mentioned to you several times that vircurex stole money and has not paid it back, so continuing to advocate for their service makes you a scammer (also brought up). Stop. Please.

Also, and most importantly, GroundRod our Chief Developer is no more, in fact he may be actually dead... but because he is anonymous we cannot be sure although it is 4 months he disapeared. Sad

cool. abandoned dev coins are cool.

Looks like someone has claimed to have a working zerocoin implementation - http://cointelegraph.com/news/115911/zerocoin-protocol-release-could-soon-grant-bitcoin-anonymity

I also noticed that article, interesting.

We will not change the coin fundamentals. Orphaned blocks would be the correct behaviour to have I agree. In fact two blocks in a row is not so improbable, and we cannot take the risk to do the hardfork for PID on mainet with this issue. The Kimoto Gravity Well version 2 in the 9.6.4+ code is 100% compatible with the actual mining process (9.6.9 has been used successfully since 6 months for mining on mainet).

News about development:

Results from the various Testnets we are doing showed a very good retargetting of the difficulty with the new PID. Smiley

However, there is a bug on Testnet that makes peers ban each other when finding blocks while being connected through I2P. It occurs when at about the same time two blocks are found by two different peers and one of them find another block in a row, before receiving the block from the other peer. On receiving, the peer will ban the other peer thinking it is a DoS attack.

Have you thought about increasing block times? The longer the block time the lower the chance of one peer finding "another block in a row, before receiving the block from the other peer" as in your example above.

Other coins have dealt with a similar issue (although more often in the context of orphaned blocks rather than peer to peer banning).
