Did you compile it or did you download the binary?

Edit: that error says you didn't put in the new files with 2.7.4
I downloaded the binary. I deleted every file that was in the folder before besides my config file and my kernel and moved 2.7.4 over.

I just compiled 2.7.4 Runs fine; better than any other versions.  I get about 2 shares/min improvement on my three 7970 cards.
Using "icarus-timing" : "2.6316=65" for my icarus boards.  Icarus hash rates are correctly reported.

Any help on this image pls?

using win7 64bit and the desktop is being controlled via RDP coz this desktop got no monitor, so I just use my laptop to connect into this desktop. The RDP user is Administrator..

Basically I have 2 BFL singles + 2 HD6870

My main problem is with BFL singles.

This is just a guess, but maybe you need to enable serial port redirection on the RDP connection in order to have access to the serial ports while remoted in.  This wouldn't make a lot of sense, as you don't need access to the serial ports on the client you are connecting from, and I would expect it to cause problems, but it might be worth trying in spite of those things.

ETA:  I have no BFL experience, and I am operating under the assumption that you have made BFL devices work on other Windows boxes.  If not, you are probably simply doing something wrong, in which case RDP isn't relevant.

This is not OK.
Curious...
I stopped pool 0 and now it seems to have gone into some kind of load-balance mode. Getting shares submitted to all the remaining pools.

This is not OK.
Pool rotate is broken in 2.7.4 (don't know about 2.7.2/3 was working in 2.7.1)
Have it set up to rotate every 20 mins. All pools are shown as alive, but it hasn't moved off pool 0 for 1h 10m.

I knowh you have scrypt... but 274 on scrypt on p2pool still not counting "Q:" correctly (stuck on 1 no matter of longppols and new blocks).
Using your latest binary form #1 post. Win7 32.

Yep, looks like the counter is broken just in scrypt mode.
Update: not stuck, just counting... something ;] E: is hitting the roof ;]

In that case then, it's not a bug, but more a sign of the combination of extended rolltime support and mining on a low difficulty pool.

- Pick worksize 256 with Cypress if none is specified.

I wondered why recent git versions have been slower on my 5870, about 414 vs. 421 Mhash/s. Using worksize 128 brought it back to the old speed. (Using fglrx 11.12 and SDK 2.5)
Yeah sorry, it seemed that most people using 58x0 were using very low memory speeds and 2.1 sdk which does better with worksize 256.

Hello all. Can anyone help with configuring cgminer in ubuntu to automatically start?
ThiagoCMC in post answered but I don't now how to implement this. Is there any more detailed guide?
Thanks.

I have been in the same position and asked the same question. I got no easy answer an eventually figured it out for myself. Not before it cost me 2 dead 5850's. So go to the thread below. I will post how I did it in Xubuntu 11.04. It should not be a great leap to do the same in Ubuntu.

Thanks. Plan to once a stable release is out.
2.7.4 gets me ~10% less hashrate than all recent versions (including 2.7.1, 2.7.0 and 2.6.5 for fresh comparisons) on a 5870 with SDK 2.1 (ati-drivers 11.6) on Gentoo amd64.
Didn't test 2.7.2 or 2.7.3.
2.7.2/3 will not even work on sdk2.1. It appears the kernel changes are not so great for sdk2.1. Oh well.
There's a suggestion from IRC that those with ultra low memory clock speeds on sdk2.4/2.5 are seeing this, and going from say 150 to 250 is enough to recover it. Perhaps it's not the SDK at all but the memory speed.

EDIT: Just to further explain why these changes have been made to ALL the kernels. Basically there are some small probability scenarios where some shares are missed by the existing kernel designs. It's not a lot, but given btc mining is entirely a probability game, we need everything on our side.

Don't forget to read API-README - it contains a whole section at the end about using miner.php
That will give you a web interface to the API - reporting and changing cgminer settings.
Yeah I've been meaning to try and get that set up. I'll have to take a look when I get back to my miner.

That just means you don't have the API.class file in the directory where you are trying to run it Smiley
Ahh, I was wondering how that worked. I'm still trying to figure out the whole API thing. Smiley

Just succeeded in compiling 2.7.4 finally. Took me a while to figure out how to compile with ADL support. Tongue

Everything is running great so far and my WU has increased 0.4 from 2.7.3. I noticed one weird thing though; I tried accessing my pool info through the API and it keeps giving me this error:

Code:
Error: Could not find or load main class API

I'm not sure if this is because of something I missed when compiling though.
That just means you don't have the API.class file in the directory where you are trying to run it Smiley

Edit: and thanks immensely for whoever this was Smiley

I always got less with cgminer on 5870s than I did with phoenix.  Atleast that's how phoenix portrayed it, I'm not sure it was accurate.
