I used MoneyGram on a Vcom machine at 7-11. Based on searches, I thought I'd be calling on the machine's phone and paying the cashier, but it had me use my cell phone and pay the machine. Giving my information to the operator was fairly painless--for a cell phone call in a busy 7-11, anyway. After she concluded the call, there were a few more steps to go through on screen. When I finished, it asked for my payment--cash or debit, which surprised me. I already had the cash, so I chose cash and inserted it. After a few seconds I got a transaction failed message, but no receipt of any kind. I was about to panic when a message popped up instructing me to take my money, and then it spit it all back out at me.
So I guess I have an open ticket now. I was in a rush, otherwise I would have tried calling again, but I have no idea what went wrong so I don't even know what the available options are. Continue the transaction from where the operator hung up? Redo the whole thing? Scrap this ticket and try again?
BitInstant's instructions are just kind of like: go to location and do a thing. It'd be nice if they were a bit more explicit about what to expect.
This is the first i've heard of anyone using a machine, generally it's a simple phone call or you only talk to the clerk at the till, if there's any confusion on the process i'd recommend getting in touch with [email protected] for advice.
If you haven't completed payment on an existing quote then don't worry about it and feel free to make a fresh one when ready - quotes are not binding and only become orders once payment is made.
