How's bitfinex processing express USD wire transfers these days? Anyone still use them? Or should I look at other exchanges? Please post feedbacks.

Looking at how nobody is complaining about anything, guess bitfinex is tip top.

People moaned about bitfinex but they are still going strong and haven't done a runner like other exchanges.  Good on them i see their volume is climbing back to close the gap on stamp.  Probably overtake stamp again since they have more options and litecoin trading.
Bitfinex is a great exchange no doubt. I'm just nervous about the US gov. snooping around. I feel like they may freeze bitfinex's bank accounts as part of their "investigation" and then things will blow up quickly or slowly.
I may put a little money there for quick trades, but holding funds there makes me uneasy these days. Wish it were not the case.

Can't complain about express withdrawals, the money's usually in my bank account within 24 hrs, sometimes a few hours less, sometimes more but it's a long way from Hong Kong to Western Europe so I guess that's quite fast given the fact that we're talking about antique banking technology.

In fact I always pick the express option as BFX is charging 20$ minimum in w/d fees anyways and as I'm usually withdrawing less than 2000$ their 1% cut for express doesn't surpass that minimum amount. Sure, the 20$ are a bit of a waste for small(ish) amounts but I guess that's a fair price to pay for their good service (and for now partially sloppily coded website - nothing that can't be easily fixed though).

Since your latest UI update a few weeks ago your site seems to be leaking memory. A lot of it, especially on the "Margin trading" tab and a bit less so on the Stats page (in fact, almost every single page does so but these are the worst ones). That is to say if I keep the Margin tab open for a mere 24hrs it is consuming about 1.2+ GB of RAM, almost 15x as much as when it was freshly loaded. The Stats page within the same timespan is using about 4-5x as much as when it was freshly loaded.

I tested in the latest Chrome stable but I'm pretty sure it happens in any other browser.

My firefox has been quite RAM hungry lately and when I stopped using bitfinex in firefox, it's no longer eating up my RAM (the other browser doesn't get to show the leak because I changed my behaviour to "log in, trade, log out, close tab"). So I can confirm there must be some kind of leak somewhere.

*lol* That was a good one.

I would say the persons complaining simply gave up, resignating.

Though it might really be possible. I don't know anymore since bitfinex, with all these obvious coding errors, looked way too dangerous for me to hold any reasonable amount of coins there. If small or bigger hints are already given then i could not ignore that.

I'm having problems when I'm trying to withdraw my balance from bitfinex it says "Something went wrong" when I click the sms verification. I can't change my phone or make anything.

As I understand it, you can try to disable 2FA and withdraw your deposit through an email confirmation
It's not working I get "Something went wrong", and my phone number is exactly the one I used 3 months ago to withdraw without problems.

I tested in the latest Chrome stable but I'm pretty sure it happens in any other browser. I tried debugging it for a bit, seems as if you're not re-using DOM-nodes within your AJAX-"framework" (or whatever kind of messy hairball you seem to be compiling in there). It's constantly adding new nodes without cleaning up/reusing them afterwards. The DOM-node count always seems to go up after a call to update_tickrates() but im just too lazy to analyze your 80.000+ lines of (re-formatted) JS Code. 80k lines for a site as, well, still quite simple as BFX just seems like an awkward amount of over-engineering to say the least. It would be nice to have a responsive site again without having to kill and reload tabs every other day.

Other than that, your UI redesign looks really nice Smiley

Withdraw USD from friday last week to friday this week still not complete Huh? Not like the previous 3 business day to complete.
Any problem from bitfinex ?

Just  to report that I have just received funds into my bank within exactly 7 business days as advertised. This was a large dollar withdrawal that went through with no problems. Very reassuring.

So far Bitfinex has worked fine, I hope it stays that way.

Is there any bitfinex supporters in the thread?

Its good if they turn around whatever difficulties they've had, they are a decent option, we want as many options as possible.

Hello, I would like to gain insight into the process of trading on this stock exchange.
Your help will be rewarded with some amount of BTC.

I am minded to work with traders possessing at the very least minimal experience of working with a stock exchange.

I used to work on Forex at the MT4 terminal but do not completely understand what things of the terminal of the exchange in what places are located.

This brings up a lot of questions, for instance:
Is there a possibility to redeem other members' orders outright and create own ones (i.e. whether or not I can make purchases of the needed amounts of bitcoins from the exchange's members)?

Does the exchange provide a credit leveraging for the speculative trade throughout the day? Does the exchange work on the business days of the week and how is a carry-forward of the deals into the subsequent week carried out (seem to have figured this out already)?

Are open trades held in place at the end of the day?

Well, and such questions like what the minimal and maximal deposits are, what the fee of the exchange is and so forth.

I am new on this forum, rarely visit it, therefore please reply to my email: [email protected]

Also, I will consider an option of managing my capital for a percent. Have about 200 btc in hand.

Bitfinex is my favorite exchange for a number of reasons, but yes still does have some major issues sometimes.  I miss the 4:1 leverage and I've had some terrible fills on market orders, so I recommend you only use limit orders.

UPDATE

my btc deposit and btc withdrawals from bitfinex all just clear just now

thanks

# my case closed.. thanks bitfinex #
Did you resolve the issue by clicking the above described link from an email that you received?

For the wd yes... the witdhrawal email delay for more than 30 minutes ( i already activate google authentication also)

but for the deposit maybe some technical problem .. deposit appear after more than 2 hours
I can't speak to what the issue was with the deposit, however it is possible that bitfinex did not have any available unspent inputs in their hot wallet to process your withdrawal (remember that both the withdrawal and the change will need to be confirmed before it can reliably be used in a subsequent transaction), and it is possible it was some other issue.

Either way, I am glad that you were able to get everything sorted Smiley

Thank you Smiley
