I'm 48. The only reason that I am participating in a signature campaign is because I might as well get a few cents here and there, for doing something that I am going to do anyway. I only own about 2 bitcoins, so this can hardly be considered an investment. It is more of a hobby for me. Once a nerd, always a nerd.
People are crazy. 48 can't be considered old! Smiley
where the heck do you live,so many youngster now having much disease due to unhealthy life cycle and 48 could be considered as old because they can survive 48 years better than the youngster themselves

I think older people that are 45+ would see bitcoin as a fad for the younger generation to mess with.
They might not see it worth their time as they don't have as much as it too waste on things that they have to learn about.  Wink
You are wrong. My father is 45+ and I live in the country of the 3rd world and he earns btc working for a signature campaign and has some friends of his planning to do some business using btc

I really found it amusing how these Millennials think people older than 45 are intimidated by new technology. Lolz. This stuff they have now is way easier to use than when I started in the 80's. I think they must have the baby boom generation in mind. Us gen xers grew up on this stuff.

older people are mostly more experiences so they are less enthusiastic to do meaningless jobs with small payment so i doubt if many are doing signature campaigns. but instead they do freelance jobs based on skills and many are trading bitcoin.

Haha. yes you are so right. They think that it is only for younger generation that is why they decided not to give care about it not knowing they are losing a lot even though they are investing. They are losing a lot in a way that they are missing the opportunities that is given by bitcoins to the users of it. They don't know because they don't want to know. They don't want to know because they think they don't need it anymore.

Well, I have a grandmother here, but I think very difficult to teach them How can I use bitcoin. I guess they do not care anymore about it. Most parents who are here are very difficult to understand the performance of the computer, so it is very difficult to teach them how to generate bitcoin.

The older demographic may like gambling with Bitcoin. Smiley
Wow,i dont get this sentence.
I have read it like 10 times and i still dont know what were you meaning.
Can you repeat and explain it to me please?

I had to google it:
Demographic = a particular sector of a population

To put it simply, the older ones may probably like to use bitcoin in gambling.

I think age isn't a problem in this case while you were able to earn bitcoin though you've been unable to walk and I'm sure there are 60-year old is still trading and mining because to earn bitcoin you don't need spend many energy.

I think that in the future everyone will use bitcoin. When we get old we will be that "old guys" who uses bitcoins. In this days it's to complicated even for young people to understand how bitcoin works. And you must specify what do you mean when you say "old" (how old). Smiley

In our country the bitcoin are not too popular and since it is not widely accepted yet i have never seen someone ages 45 above using bitcoin. i guess they were busy in their family and dont have time to use internet unlike the younger ones.

why do you look for an old bitcoiner? do you have grandparents to be taught bitcoin?

I don't think there are people older than 45 know bitcoin. it's just my prediction. just keep looking for them if it's important to you.

Actually there is one in page 4. He is in to financial softwares that is why he got into bitcoin also. I think there will be a lot more that will pop up on the next days.

yes old people have also the right to earn bitocin. I think that they have better opportunities than the young ones. because they have more time to give to bitcoin. specially those old ones who are retired from their job and they still want to earn money and remain busy in some kind of activities. I think that is the best opportunity with these old people.

Imagine if the first thing you learnt from adapting to new technology back in 2009 was to learn how to use Windows & learn how to mine Bitcoin with your CPU Cheesy

You wouldn't need a retirement fund lol.
