I know a man who's 47 now and he just discovered about Bitcoin several months ago. Now he's a big fan of it and I hope he'll tell about it to his friends too. This is a good thing when older people are fans of Bitcoin because the real power is in their hands mostly.
Indeed, they are usually the decision makers at the companies.

I see so many old people investing into different crowdfunding campaigns and different kind of BTCitcoin related jobs, but it is quite difficult to know how old they are in real because all people into my circle are around under 35, as BTCitcoin getting growing so fast than we can expect more old people will come and start using this.

Hello guys,do anyone here know's some old person's who actually make bitcoins by investing them or i dont know,by signature campaining ?
I was wondering about it for some time,i just never heard about someone older than 45 years and making bitcoins.
I think there are not old people who get bitcoin from signature campaign because they are old people some old people does't know about bitcoin or internet. And if there are old people earning bitcoin i think it is from mining because they have much money save of account bank for  buy miners.

I think old people don't use bitcoin much ,bitcoin is new technology , already old people might have made enough money and got retired ,now it will be relaxing age for them. But it depends on the people some enthusiastic people even they are old they try to learn  and majarity of the old people will be not bothered about much about bitcoin Smiley

Its really difficult to get a clear picture to know that whether older generation is earning bitcoin or not as there is no reliable statistics for that, but lets hope that they are involved in earning bitcoins.

I think there are more people greater than 45 years old involve in Bitcoin.  Especially those who are well enough.  Old people actually wanted to prove their worth at least by investing their benefits into some profit generating investment and that might be like this.  I have known an old man around 70 years old way back 2014 who happen to be a Bitcoin enthusiast, even altcoin enthusiast.  He was so active in Bitcointalk and he was the person behind the joke of HerpesCoin (he actually created the ann) LOL.

Read it and have lots of laugh LOL  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/new-coin-soon-to-be-released-100-pos-100pre-mine-100-giveaway-575275

Bitcoin seems to me like a young mans game. I would not believe if the majority of users is over 45.
Most whales however could be well over 45 years and their reason to hold bitcoin is for investment and investment only.

LOL remember old people have all means to buy BTC,they are well accomplished and have all their benefits in them. Don't take the investor's trait to those old people Cheesy they likely are more investor than you.

I thing that old people invest on bitcoins more than earning them from signature campaigns or faucets. Most bitcoin users are young and students of some technology grade, but there is some part of users that: are artist, people with few studies, and old people why not.
I think you are right there. They won't want to waste any of their time with faucets or with signatures.
The older people are usually wiser on how to make more from their money, in this case, bitcoins with investing them to watch them multiple.

I see old people more as an investor side but also not. The non tech people who have reach a certain age will may avoid investing their pension money in something that is so risky, in terms of volatility  If or one would not advice my parents or friends to invest their pension money into bitcoin.
Reason why is that is too risky. With pension money you are not allowed to make even 1 single mistake.
Well you said the truth, but on the other hand in most cases old people have some savings done,
collected through their lives, when they were younger.
You are talking about regular old people, but i dont really expect that regular old people with use btc, regular young people dont Tongue

I'm over 45 and have been into BTC since 2010.  Huh

When I started the bitcoin community seemed older than today, but I don't really know that.

I think older people that are 45+ would see bitcoin as a fad for the younger generation to mess with.
They might not see it worth their time as they don't have as much as it too waste on things that they have to learn about.  Wink

I think I have spent enough time with older people to strongly agree on this comment. Older people tend to not do anything, they do literally nothing. They just spend time sitting in their house, relaxing. They might go out for some time and do some social stuffs whenever they're feeling lonely but I'm pretty sure no old person would want to earn money (in general, not only in bitcoins).

For them, they are done earning money. They have spent their previous years working for their kids and now it's the kids' turn to work for them. Imagine this, older people don't want to earn money anymore because they just want to relax and they know that they don't need to work for money. Why would they do such effort to learn about bitcoin and earn some? There might be some older people who still wants to earn money maybe because they still have some people to give money or they just want to, but I don't think they would want to earn bitcoins.
you are right, that is why i have started this thread, cause i noticed that elderly people dont really want to earn money or something,
they usually go to church,go for a walk watch TV and that is basically their whole life.

These are my exact thoughts. They value their time and usually buy Bitcoins directly.

I know more then ten on this forum.  I am 59 myself.  Lots of "old" people   helped create the entire structure  that BTC needs to exist.

And at one time I used to think 59 was old.

The number you are is a number. 1 to 120 is the range for us humans.

If your mind works well and your body is not unhealthy  you are not old.

I have seen lots of 40 year guys that are shot and lots of 60 year guys in good shape.

Well thats a small ammount of players with some good age, your group has power to invest directly into bitcoin then to spend their free time doing signature, but in the end the age doesnt matter at all as you are interested into crypto world.

it depends on the age you have in mind when saying old, i think above 45-50+ would be rare and they will only use bitcoin if they are interested in the technology but i doubt if they invest or even use signature campaigs or any other micro payment type of job, these are mostly for younger people with more time to waste and more energy Cheesy

We want more and more users to be a part of bitcoin community, age really doesn't matter as more users will lead to higher adoption level which will directly contribute to the higher price of bitcoins.
Well I agree with you. No matter what the age everyone is welcome to join the bitcoin community. It is created for all ages so all are welcome to join and earn some money with it.

And its good to see that older generation is actively participating in earning bitcoin and that will definitely motivate youngsters around them to start earning as older people have good convincing power.
