I like the direction the coin is moving with the reduced block subsidy from 50 to 10 - reducing the inflation should really help firm up the coin's position.

Also, I was wondering if merged-mining had been considered? That would make it possible to reduce the subsidy/inflation even further.

@GoldSeal and @casinocoin have you had the time to check out the VirtualBox image i created for crosscompiling casinocoin? Is it working for you?

I haven't had a chance yet. Work has been crazy for the past week. ;|

I see that seed3.casinocoin.org is currently not mapped, you can map it to 162.242.217.120 which is the MegaMineros pool that will always be online, at least it will not be taken offline without previous notice Wink

I also now have the CasinocoinJ client synchronizing upto the digishield kick-in so i got the difficulty issues solved and implemented the KGW code. Currently porting the DigiShield C code over to Java. Then i will create a CasinocoinJ GA release and rebuild the Android wallet and create a v1.0 GA release for that, ... should be by the end of this week. Next step will be a tutorial on how to integrate a payment request with the Android wallet from an other application.

Anyone have any experience with Javacards? I'm talking to a couple manufacturers in china to get some samples to develop ewallets for bitcoin, casinocoin, etc. Evidently, there is some useful code opensourced from btcchip Wink
I have not actually worked with Javacards but looking at the specs and sdk it should not be that difficult. I think it is best to focus on NFC solutions, Mifare DESfire development kits are not that expensive. We could create cards, keychains, tokens that function as standalone wallets or communicate with smartphones that have nfc as well. Have you already worked out some ideas/designs for a POS?

Perfect thanks ajo keep up the great work!

Looking at the cryptsy market for CSC, someone with a small but big amount of btc ~1-2 Could easily push this market very high. Then comes the autosells  Roll Eyes

The amount of pageviews etc are going up for casinocoin.org and the forums in the past few weeks now averaging around 30-60 per day
As a community we should make an effort to post on the forums to especially for persons who are new and looking to get involved but don't use btctalk

Check out the hashrate since the release July 18:
http://www.coinwarz.com/network-hashrate-charts/casinocoin-network-hashrate-chart

if everyone on here tries to make noise about the coin then we may see a promising result perhaps if we were to all start emailing and contacting online casinos??

I think we need to create an info site specifically targeting online casino operators where we can present them with information on funding options, integration, etc

These are the options available on pokerstars for example:
http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/real-money/

Obviously we would want to compare casinocoin to these services with regard to security, fees, transfer time, reversibility, etc etc

Just finished uploading the VirtualBox image for compiling the windows and linux clients, you can find it at: https://mega.co.nz/#!4UsTVYjL!c6MzeY4otu90NxFYK9SDvypueUrTkpH6gTJtWdQ2CE4
Username/Pass to login is: ubuntu/ubuntu
It is compressed with 7Zip. In the home directory is a README file on how to proceed. Basically it comes down to git clone the sources, set the source location and run buildCSC.sh. After a few cups of coffee you find the daemon and Qt clients for windows and linux in csc-dist directory. Let me know if it works for you.
As always enjoy!

AJChems,

Have you done any work with Javacards before? On the ATM side, we were looking at these as a possible way to develop a POS system whereby the private key would be stored on the IC and a JVM would be run on the card to sign transactions from the pos terminal. This would mean that a private key would not be passed to the terminal to facilitate a transaction.

Ideally, I'm thinking of implementing something like this to eliminate the bullshit paper receipts with QR private codes that people struggle with and instead replace it with a familiar credit card style system. What are your thoughts?
