Good news, Carlo Paalam is underdog in sportsbook.

Check the betting odds here https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/boxing/international/olympic-tournament/paalam-carlo-yafai-galal-610ba6c257dc6c61eae9bc58

Better put your bet early guys, who knows the odds might flip.

I like the odds here, as our very own Carlo Paalam is the underdog.

Not sure why Yafai is the favourite, but in any case, his fight against Bibossinov was a classic one, if only Bibossinov  didn't gas out in the last round, he could have turn the tide and win, but it was a 3-2 win by Yafai. Paalam though is well rounded so it will be a good fight for the gold. Hopefully, Paalam will start very fast in the first 2 rounds to get the score and take a lead going into the last round.

Paalam seemed to be so focused, he does not rattle in the ring, we saw it in the semi-finals fight when his opponent trying to pressure him, but he still stays calm, goes according to the game plan, and got a good result with a unanimous win. Paalam beat the previous world champion in the QF, so that's a good barometer on his skills.

Nice odds, the fight will be this August 7, Philippine timezone. In the last final match in boxing, it was our representative that is listed as favorites, so we are confident that she will win, but unfortunately, she loses via unanimous decision. In this fight, Paalam is the underdog so it's really nice to gamble at these odds.

They base the odds on the achievement of boxer so Galal Yafai has an upper hand due to his medals and experience from his boxing career although Paalam beat the defending Champion, This final match is very crucial for the Filipino besides the pressure on winning the second gold for the Philippines, His enemy is currently hot and formidable, The odds is indeed great but it's too risky to bet. I will bet via live match and check Paalam performance on first round.

It's going to be difficult to beat a Japanese fighter in their own country. Palaam needs a decisive win for the judges to award him the victory. One of Tanaka's prior opponents already complained of biased judges after losing a close split decision. Regardless of the outcome, both fighters have secured a medal. Palaam is the younger fighter and after making it this far he can use the exposure to secure a contract and turn pro.

Indeed Palaam needs to control the situation when fighting in the home ring. Where Tanaka is quite free in his country by playing so confidently because he doesn't think about off-field situations that are in the spotlight to add a boost of motivation. I believe Palaam can get through this, though he will need a few rounds to get used to when Tanaka is far ahead in his country.

I'm interested in betting on this game as I believe in our representative, this is a Semi-Final fight of Men's Flyweight.

here are the information of two boxers.

Carlo Paalam  - https://boxrec.com/en/amateurboxer/863095

Ryomei Tanaka- https://boxrec.com/en/amateurboxer/855559

the fight is already listed in sportsbet but the odds are not yet available. Please check from time to time.

the philippines really prove that their country is a producer of talented boxing athletes in southeast asia and one of the proofs is the achievement of carlo paalam who managed to penetrate the semifinals of olympic boxing and has a great chance to get a second gold medal for the philippines, the semifinal match against Ryomei Tanaka was really quite exciting , moreover Ryomei Tanaka as the host was certainly more favored at that time but Carlo Paalaam performance was quite good and managed to beat Ryomei Tanaka in five rounds and carlo Palaam was able to win by a landslide with a score of 5-0.

Ryomei Tanaka was the bigger guy, he was aggressive but he does not have the good boxing skills as Paalam has. Carlo Paalam follows his game plan, his counterpunch is always accurate and this is only a 3 rounds fight and he won all the rounds, so it's an impressive win for him, a well deserve fighter to be in the Final match.

I hope that Paalam would win this match and bring home the gold medal for the Philippines this time. In the Filipino language, his last name means goodbye but I don't think it would be goodbye for him but I see a new beginning. Ryomei is a good boxer yet I see more perseverance and eagerness to win in Carlo.
Really hard that we just hold on to hope when we win, I don't think that we are going to just disregard the fact that Ryomei is also a good fighter and I think given how he performed well compared to Carlo, it's going to be difficult to see another win, plus the pressure for Roymei to win is going to be helpful since it's their homecourt.

It's most likely goodbye to his opponent, lol.. He is still young, after this fight, if he wins the gold, he could still come back next Olympics, or maybe he will start with his professional career as I'm sure he will get a good promoter like MP promotion. Just one more win and he will get the gold, all his fights are impressive so I would not be surprise if he will be the favorites in the final match.

Paalam has a good chance of getting the gold medal and that's what he wants to achieve for his country, and if you look at every fight he always uses very fast footwork and sharp right-handed counters that his opponents have to watch out for.

Carlo Paalam and Marcial's performance earned praise and support from Pacquiao, who wrote from his training camp in Los Angeles, "You two make us so proud"

Paalam made it but Marcial was not able to succeed, he finishes the olympcis with a bronze medal, still something to be proud of.

On the two Marcial has the hardest fight I thought he won the game because he is hitting his opponent accurately and with a power punch it's a very close fight that it could go either but the Ukrainian got the nod of the judges because of his aggressiveness in the early round it's a heartbreaking loss for Marcial, on Paalam he has a very good chance to win the gold he has a complete arsenal he can punch his opponent while moving out, he is a very intelligent fighter I hope Paalam will win the gold.

Marcial match was very close indeed, but to my surprised his opponent has an incredible run of 62 fights without any losses, so Marcial was really in for a very big fight and he wasn't able to upset Khyzhniak.

For Paalam, there was no surprised, he really take the match from the first round and we're glad that the referee see the match fair and square and score all for Paalam. Goodluck to him and lets pray that he will bring the gold for Philippine boxing and the whole country in general. But he is has the silver, already a big feat.

3 Filipino boxers gets the medal in the Olympic, and I think Paalam will be the one to get the first gold in boxing.

1st - Nesthy Petecio _SILVER
2nd - Eumir Marcial _ BRONZE

3rd_  Carlo Paalam _GOLD.

Let's follow the pattern.  Smiley

Hopefully, that pattern of yours will come into reality.

In the gold medal match, he will set to face Galal Yafai, https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/686327

Just saw the latest result and Carlo Paalam won the match against the Japanese Ryomei Tanaka. Congratulation to Carlo Paalam for winning the Semi-Final match, advancing to the Finals, and a chance to get the Olympic gold medal.

also, Congrats to anyone who made a bet in favor of Carlo Paalam.

LOL, I'm just gonna comment about betting for the Japanese Boxer but hey, Winning via unanimous decision against the hometown bet Ryomei Tanaka is a very impressive achievement for Carlos Paalam, Looks like a second Gold Medal for the Philippines is almost since he already beat the previous medal holder on there class. Philippines should increase budget for athletes that competing the Olympics next time considering there performance rn.

Any win via unanimous decision is already a major accomplishment but winning against a Japanese boxer in their hometown is just a spectacular achievement on its own! Now, since Carlo Paalam has a guaranteed Silver Medal, I do hope that he brings home the gold on his next match.

I just find it very interesting that most olympians that represented the Philippines brought home a medal. This is indeed, the golden age of our country in this year's olympics. I do hope that in the 2024 Olympics, the Philippines' government support its athletes for more medals in the future.
Aside from defeating the homegrown opponents he also beats the former gold medalist from the quarter finals,

Very interesting journey to this Pinoy Boxer hopefully he completes his journey and bring the 2nd gold for team PH, it's indeed a golden age for PH nationals, we already have 3 medals from each medal categories, a chance for another gold a secure silver  just in case, best of luck Carlo Paalam!

Now, we still have Paalam and we have to support him, I was actually waiting for the betting odds but could not find it, but it's okay, there's still a finals, so hopefully that odds will be available that time.

Paalam although an amateur shows good footwork, timing, and the ability to shift from right to left-handed, he has a good chance if he decides to make a shift from amateur to professional they will have good support from Manny Pacquiao, they don't need extensive training because they can easily shift from amateur to professional but I guess both Marcial and Paalam still has a long way as an amateur but it will be exciting to see them as pros.

^^ Philippine boxing is on a roll right now, Nesthy just fell short of the gold, but nothing to be ashamed of. Now, it will be Carlo Paalam's turn to bring another gold of the Philippines and everyone is hoping that this time it will happened. I just saw the feeds its 5-0, meaning he dominated his opponent. Will try to look at youtube to see the fight.

Marcial also lost his match today, score is 3-2, but he was already sure of the bronze nevertheless. Carlo Paalam's performance was really brilliant it was a shut out and he will get a shot for the gold against Great Britain’s Galal Yafai. I think he has a bigger chance to bag the gold medal against Yafal, he has too much experience against the Briton.
