Now, it will be Carlo Paalam's turn to bring another gold of the Philippines and everyone is hoping that this time it will happened. I just saw the feeds its 5-0, meaning he dominated his opponent. Does the Philippines Sports Comission (PSC) lacks budget in this current Olympics preparations?
I guess the PSC gave enough or even more from the training up to the event accomodation as per Hidilyn's statement during her interview on the local news channel in the PH.
There is a specific amount or budget allocated for the athletes through PSC. I don't think the senate will put an increase to their budget especially we're still overcoming the aftermath of this pandemic.
Anyway, I guess Carlo has a huge chance of winning the Gold as he completely dominates his semi-final opponent from Japan. Well, he's got the winning momentum now as well as the other guy. Nevertheless, this will be a good final match.

Any win via unanimous decision is already a major accomplishment but winning against a Japanese boxer in their hometown is just a spectacular achievement on its own! Now, since Carlo Paalam has a guaranteed Silver Medal, I do hope that he brings home the gold on his next match.
I just find it very interesting that most olympians that represented the Philippines brought home a medal. This is indeed, the golden age of our country in this year's olympics. I do hope that in the 2024 Olympics, the Philippines' government support its athletes for more medals in the future.

It's going to be difficult to beat a Japanese fighter in their own country. Palaam needs a decisive win for the judges to award him the victory. One of Tanaka's prior opponents already complained of biased judges after losing a close split decision. Regardless of the outcome, both fighters have secured a medal. Palaam is the younger fighter and after making it this far he can use the exposure to secure a contract and turn pro.
Indeed it is always a Big factor the Home court advantage that we are calling , though Paalam has a big potential winning this fight because he has all the advantage over this Japanese fighter .and also the Filipino fighter is already having bronze now and may bring high medal if winning this one.

Since both of these fighters have had very good careers so far, it will be very difficult to decide which one to bet on. Maybe I'll slow down the selection a bit for a while. maybe a few hours before the game starts. I usually find the image a little more effective when I've seen them getting ready behind the scenes.
I would go for a safe bet that Ryomei will win this fight especially with the homecourt advantage meaning that there's a possibility that it will serve him a morale and inspirational boost to win the fight, plus I think Japanese people are more disciplined than Filipinos, I am saying that with what I am saying.

Indeed, the pressure will be on the Carlo here. But if you are going to base on their last fight, Paalam did upset the current and defending Olympic gold medalist. After reviewing each of these players I'm certainly interested in betting on a Ryomei. Based on his background it's less convincing than a Carlo. But that's my bet. Trying luck from my point of view to keep betting for him.

Wow another secured medal for the Philippines, this is getting exhilarating and I'm just hoping he'll continue to make it onto the Finals. It's a huge feat beating a former champ and that just getting a high morale for his recent win. I guess the favorite will be for Paalam and I'm sure of that. Paalam beat the reigning Olympic flyweight in the last match, so that's a big boost for him and assured us for a bronze medal already.
