or maybe exchanges are actually happy with high gas fees (for more than one reason)

Why should exchanges be happy? They have less more income as long as they don't increase the withdrawl fees.

1st, there are less chances users will move coins off exchange to their own wallets, unless its huge amounts
so fees are actually negligible compared to overall amount of tokens. Most exchanges like it when you keep coins on
their wallet instead your own

2nd, many actually increased their own fees, hiding it behind "network congestion". Case in point, ETH withdrawal fee
is currently around 16USD (0.0093ETH) on one exchange, while USDT fee is 33 USDT on same exchange (and same
exchange could use USDT on OMG to lower fee...which it maybe do, and keep that money for themselves)

I guess they're not aggressive enough promoting it to exchanges...or maybe exchanges are actually happy with high gas fees (for more than one reason)

Trident Protocol | Simple «buy-hold-earn» system!
At first, I thought it was a good project and wanted to enter 6.5 levels. I am glad I did not enter, the price has dropped a lot according to my expectation. It may be a good purchase price right now.

If it can't shine during times like these, that fit exactly it's white paper, I guess it will never get attention

It makes most sense for OMG to integrate with USDT becuase of all the transfers to the exchanges.

With most of these fees coming from ETH network, OMG is helping ETH network by lowering fees.

This seemed to help price action a lot and then it's since been forgotten about. But if the USDT partnership stays consistent, the fundamental value is the same. So what that ultimately means, I guess only time will tell.

We've syndicated one of our OMG articles across our network to spread some more awareness Smiley Ever since the USDT partnership, things have looked really promising.

I like the concept of OMG Network. Transaction with no fees. That is great. But you have to deposit ETH or ERC-20 Token before the Gas prices went up to the sky. So if you do it at the right time or have enough time for a deposit, you are well prepared avoiding high gas fees.

There are gas fees for all ERC-20 Tokens not just OMISEGO.

I mean there are no gas fees if you do one or more transaction "in" the OMG network. You have to pay a gas fee for depositing ERC20 into the OMG Network and you have to pay gas fee for withdrawal ERC20 out from the OMG Network, of course. At least that is how I understood it. Correct me if it is not right.

One of the old coins that I still hold, because I believe in the potential of OMG. Indeed, after reaching an all time high in 2018
the price continued to fall. But entering 2020 the performance of OMG began to improve, even in August 2020 the price of OMG
can be pumped up to $ 6. Although now it's back down to $ 3. But I am still optimistic that in the near future the OMG price will
rise again, I even predict that the OMG price by the end of this year could reach $ 10.

If that were to happen, then yes. The major fault of the major coins, BTC/ETH, is that they are terrible at moving to 2.0s. Getting consensus on these coins seems to be nearly impossible. So I guess slightly more abstractly its whether or not consensus is possible is what the gamble would be on.

Don't know it has been already discussed here. But what will happen if ETH move to Eth 2.0? ETH 2.0 will be without transaction costs and limitation of the network. So for my understanding 2. Layer Projects will be obsolete. So what will be the aim for OmiseGO then?

Ah, good old ETH 2.0....when I joined this crypto thing, back then in 2017, it was just around the corner, in 2nd half 2017

In 2nd half 2017 everyone had to do other things Smiley
But anyway, it doesn’t't make sense if you say ETH 2.0 will take more time. Maybe they need more time, maybe not. But is does not change the fact, that 2nd layer solution will be obsolete then if I have understand ETH 2.0 right.

That's give or take what you are gambling on. If that happens or doesn't happen will be a major risk vector to OMG's success.

So you agree with me, that ETH 2.0 will make 2nd Layer solutions obsolete?

I've a great enthusiasm on OMG Network, after researching come to know that it's now rebranded product from OmiseGo. I have a nice feeling it has great potential to fly. Been holding even in this blooding market in hope it will pump again.
