I personally would put a lawyer on this case if i lost more than a few btc on your website unless you are anonymous or operate with a LLC. Beside i wouldnt just wait for you to pay your debts (how can you guarantee that you are able to?).

I think you misunderstand the definition of responsibility. If you didnt insured your business you are responsible for theft. You cant blame the thieve if you made a mistake by yourself (security and limited personal liquidity) or at least underestimated the risk envolved.

Nevertheless i hope people get their money back and wish you luck.

If so, is there not a single person trying to get something done? Is he anonymous?

you will have to elaborate further. that is a vague question that could have many meanings, and therefore many answers.

Wheter this site was hacked or not: you should be responsible for all losses unless you set up a LLC at start or have a good insurance.

I wonder what you were thinking at the time you started with this.

Your opinion is your opinion, and you are certainly entitled to that. if you take anything from my message, it should be:

a. we assume liability for repayment of the customers.

b. i personally was not involved in the theft(i posted proof).

c. we will turn it over to the authorities tommorow.

BCX is a troll. he knows damn well i'm not hydroponica, he just loves stirring the pot.

evidence?/??

what like the cold storage and master accounts to prove i had nothing to do with it:

MASTER(rec'd : 66.61 BTC)

and the payout log:

In addition some btc was used to buy coins at cryptsy(doge and 42), and some SKC & BLC @ (atomic trade), however 1.4 btc remains in the cold storage wallet, albeit it is tucked safely at other addresses. this means we are pretty damn near not a satoshi missing on our end.
The next step is notifying the police with all of this information as well as the server logs. something tell me this guy may have made a mistake and he will be caught. even if he is not, we will settle with the customers. we have yet to reach a consensus on the manner of repayment, but like poloniex we will settle with the customers in some way or form that involves us paying back the customer in the full amount. the website will be down for some months while we continue to work on LUAPOD and a open source rails project we are looking at. however, just as we have always been open and honest we will continue to remain transparent. we may have failed at this point but we are optimistic that we can still right the ship by doing the right thing.

that's something i don't want on my conscience. maybe if i was an experienced developer and the code was secure, which we all know it isn't. does that make sense?

@Hydro,

You don't have a conscience LOL and all we need now is for Spoetnik to show up and the Crypsy chat lives again!

~BCX~

how much do you think r3wt "lost"?

r3wt aka Hydroponica aka Tokyoghetto claims to have lost 34 btc

~BCX~

Do you think he "lost" these coins by placing them in his personal wallet?
