is there a way to disable a gpu in a multi-gpu system?

yes you can specify which gpu's are active.  You put -d 0 -d 1 -d 2, etc for all the active ones.  At least I think its -d.  Pretty sure if you run a bat file with --help or -help or -h..etc then you'll get the list of all available commands.

thanks... i was just looking in the readme file and the thread..  Roll Eyes

Optiminer, Please add option  RESERVE POOL.
Without this option, my rig falls and crashes if one losing the connection to the server pool.

GPUs undervolted. And if they don't hashing -  gpu driver crash and Rig  crashes.
It's a problem.

Initially, I had a couple of crashes with 1.6 (RX470 rig, Ubuntu 16.04), but now it is stable at least for 24 hr.
Crashes seemed to happen when I had firefox open at the same time.
No open browser-no crashes.
Quite peculiar if true, i wonder if anyone else observed the same with any browser.

Hello,

I also have 1 of my cards (1/3) that is droping.  I didnt change anything.

LJ

Not sure what your settings are or the cards or OS but sometimes you have to increase the power to the card that isn't as good as the others. This happens because the miner is pushing the card more it sometimes can't handle the extra demand. In windows using afterburner, increase the mV to the core. I have once rig that has six of the identical cards but there is one card that can't quite handle the under volt like the rest. So, I turn the mV up a bit for all of them and its runs rock solid. Its worth a try at least until we have more information on your setup.

Thank you for V 1.6. Moved my 280x rigs over and a good bump on the Fuji's and 290's.

Some of my rigs have this issue with optiminer

[error] TLS handshake with eu1-zcash.flypool.org failed: certificate verify failed

How to resolve it?

Works fine here. You are probably missing one of the root certificates that the pool uses. You can try 'openssl s_client -connect eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3443' to see what your system thinks about the pool certificate.

HELP please,

i am using 1.6.0 on my rig with 2 cards with this .bat  GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1
optiminer  -s zec-eu.coinmine.pl:7007 -u xxx -p xxx

 it's running fine.
with the same .bat file on my 4 card rig i get "GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1 unrecognised string blah blah you need to set variable GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1"   any ideas please.

Yup.  You have to put set GPU_FORCE...etc
Set command sets it as environment variable for the command window session,
setx command sets it for the whole computer on a permanent basis.  i recommend just set.
